Well now it's working and I think it might've been an issue with the version of MNC I had? Oh well I'm just glad things are working again.

I'm having the same issue as a few other people in that certain creatures (mainly horses from what I've seen) will only apply their nude mesh when either forced to update through the mod menu or when initiating a sex scene.

Edit: Not just a horse thing, none of the creatures have the proper mesh regardless of what combination of settings I apply or fixes from this thread I try. Just to be sure, we need CF SE version here

and not the 2.0.3 version from the above MNC page right?

one or the other should work.....but if you change what version your using the scripts from the other may get stuck in your save file, you will need a save editor to remove them.

 

also after removing the scripts you may need to save & quit again after installing/re-installing to get it's MCM menu to load (i think it had something to do with the skse co-save needing to refresh itself). once it does you should probably click on "Re-register all mods" to help purge any old CF data that may remain in the co-save.

Aroused mesh not getting/staying applied during animations (a list of things to try):
A. go to the Creature Framework MCM and click on "Re-register all mods", then unpause the game and Wait a Minute.
B. go to the Creature Framework MCM and click on "Clear Creatures"
C. go to the Creature Framework MCM and enable "Force arousal update"
D. go to the Creature Framework MCM and disable "SexLab Aroused integration"
E. try clicking on the uninstall button in CF's MCM, then save & quit and reload the save. (wait for Creature Framework to reinstall and register)
F. click on the uninstall button in CF's MCM, then save & quit, then use a save editor to remove all of Creature Framework's scripts & forms from your save file, then uninstall CF and install the older version (1.0.1). NOTE: you may need to save & quit again after installing to get it's MCM menu to load.

 

also adding this to the Skyrim.ini (My Documents\My Games\Skyrim) may help CF work a bit better:

Creature Framework not registering mods or stuck in a registering loop:
try reinstalling JContainers.

There was a problem if you had any Mods from CrapClub (Creation Club) installed, but that bug should be fixed in newer versions of JContainers:
the problem was you had to remove them (or any other esl based mods) before you could register/reregister Creature Framework based mods into Creature Framework.

So I had creatures working at one point - with MNC 12_3 SE and Creature Framework 1.1.0-pre2A-SE. Then I went an updated my mod list a few times, played around without interacting with creatures much. Now, in my current playthrough, creature animations do not seem to work at all.

 

I triggered them through SL Confabulation (I think it is), where you can get a job fucking dogs at the stable outside of Markath. In that case everything works fine except there's no sex... but I can collect the gold for doing the job nonetheless. Similarly, I got my character defeated by a Skeever (very weak character) via Naked Defeat and the Skeever did nothing. There's also the option from somewhere (Confabulation again, I think) of fucking a dog for Voada in Markath. Same deal, the conversation was triggered but when trying to do the dog, nothing happened.

 

I combed over my MCM settings. Creature Animations and content are enabled in Sex Lab, I have appropriate animations and they're registered.

 

My first question is: are there some MCM settings or switches or actions that I may have missed in activating creature stuff on the new game? It's a while since I recall it working, so I may well have forgotten something when I set up the game to begin with.

My next step was to update the mods involved. So I went and downloaded MNC 12_6 SE. When I loaded a save to test it out I got a pop up saying "you're using a pre-2 version of CF and things will be messed up".

 

So my next question is, where do I get a version of CF that's not pre-2? The thread I've found on LL (via the conversion tracking thread) only has the file I already have?

It's quite improbable that CF is to blame for not triggering animations as all CF handles (afaik) is pretty much just a creature's schlong. You could not have CF installed at all (even not installing SOS) and SL animations should still trigger. They would play out fine but without schlongs. You can perfectly well run a creature based SL gameplay without CF/schlongs and just use your imagination a little or use animations that don't expose them.

 

I would double check if you changed your creature animations in a way that SLAL needs to redo everything. Are human non-creature SL animations still working? Enable debug in SL and see if the console is reporting anything. If not, (nothing about can't find animations, etc.), then it's likely SL is trying to run the animation(s) but they're either not actually there or something else is inhibiting their use (skeleton issue?).

 

tl;dr - run a SLAL reset and double check your skeleton install priorities

 

MMG might have a better idea, though.

I'm still curious on where to get a newer version of CF (if it exists), so I can upgrade to the most recent version of MNC, if anyone has the answer to that.

It seems to work fine in game, but the file eating up 25 gigs of disk space after two hours of gameplay gets annoying, especially if I'm trying to use those files for anything else.

anyone know what's wrong here?

 

Edit: Btw, I'm using SSE, MNC v12.5SE, Hentai Creatures v12SE2, Creature Framework V2.0.2. I've disabled Debug output to log in the MCM, no change.

@MadMansGun Sorry to poke you, but I've yet to find a solution for this, perhaps you know what's going on?

Followed your advice, for some reason after uninstall, then using FallrimTools to remove scripts and forms and then reinstalling CF in Vortex, I get a CTD every time I save a game, be it autosave or manual.

Haven't seen that reaction before

nether have i, maybe "FallrimTools" did something it should not have done.....or maybe vortex did something unusual when it reinstalled CF.

 

try loading a older save first to make sure it's not vortex doing something. if that works then it's probably the save editor that made things worse.

I have been playing for a couple of months with CF v2.0.2, Hentai and MNC v12.6 SE with no problems, all working. Since yesterday I have been receiving spam on papyrus as @Ar4chnid . I have disabled logging from MCM but it continues to log those messages. I opened with Fallrim i saves and I noticed an undefined element like in pic never appeared before.

In previous saves the problem does not arise, so I assume it is an event that fails to finish. I could use MCM functions to terminate instances, maybe it would solve maybe it would get worse. But I would like to understand what happened if someone knows how to read the error codes, also to avoid the same problem in the future.

 

Maybe it's the damned Fort Dawnguard trolls I'm fleeing from or while they're overpowering Sorine and I'm walking away from there? ?

not 100% the same, at least you are getting a line number.....and that line was changed in v2.0.3

and "unknown self" suggests to me that a actor was deleted when CF still had it loaded (but i could be wrong)

@MadMansGun  So basically an error generated by an unexpected situation, not a structural problem, that's why it has always worked well for me (and with CF it is common to have problems). I don't know which actor may have been deleted unless it's some DCL trap that involves temporarily spawned bandit attacks.

it works, but the latest update is not worth the effort, it's just some edited gargoyle meshes (also if you have abc installed it's files will just undo the update anyways)

Greeting everyone, having trouble fixing instant crash when trying to start animations with creatures. This is 5th day, I have been on many forums and havent found any solution yet.

Before, I have downloaded SSE a weak ago, found out for myself that it updated to AE, so after downgrading used light non-SL mods. Everything was fine, until, after I have started to test creatures. With human anims there is no trouble. BUT when I start doing creature anims, I get instant crash to desktop when creature starts to be placed on my char or other npc.

If someone could find solution I would be infinitely grateful?
