Huh, I had no idea Imgur had LL blacklisted. I'm assuming it has something to do with the nature of the site?

YA gives the races a naked skin that includes underwear in Slot 52, so that when a schlong is not equipped for whatever reason (no schlong assigned, script load taking a while to equip the schlong, etc.), you don't have a hole in the crotch but rather the underwear instead.

 

If you don't have SOS installed, chest items don't get the Slot 52 added to their data, so when you equip them they don't hide the underwear from that slot and you see it clipping through the clothes/armor.

 

The way to fix it would be to manually edit each and every single chest item in the game to add Slot 52 to them, but it's waaaay easier to simply install the base SOS plugin (.ESM) and let it take care of that on runtime automatically.

Ah, I see then. I may just get it then, mostly because I don't feel like going through all those armors and do it manually.

 

With that in mind, I suppose that you could re-add SOS to the mod dependencies in YA5, kind of my fault that Bad Dog removed it. XD

After I started complaining about the statues, Bad Dog stated that I could make a better point about the load screen art, implying that they could be a possibility in the near or far future. Whether he does or not is ultimately his decision though.

 

As for why I'm so adamant about the SFW stuff, I suppose you could say I'm the censor police. ? I originally came from the Nexus, hearing about Yiffy Age from a comment on the Lykaios, thinking that YA could be the successor to Furry Age. (Which, technically it is. Yiffy Age is if Furry Age matured and lost it's innocence.) Wasn't exactly fond of the sexual stuff, but it obviously wasn't enough to scare me away. XD Probably a good thing I came here though. Otherwise I'd still be using the Nexus Mod Manager as opposed to MO. 

I suppose it goes to show why migrating to the Nexus outright would be a bad idea. There'd be people far worse than me complaining about all the sexual stuff, and of course the furryies themselves. 


The load screens aren't as big of a deal as I'm making them, I can always remove them and get the vanilla ones back. But I'd just like the option for more SFW furry load screens because who wants to see the human stuff when your playing a furry mod? Well, aside from the undead of course.

Another solution to the imagur problem is right-click on the link, copy link, and paste into a new browser, I use incognito browsers a lot for this kind of thing. 

 

It's a bit of a problem that if you don't have SOS installed the fudoshin show through. It was my intention to be able to play without SOS. Lemme think about that. Maybe I'll just rip them out and people can play with the vanilla loincloth if they don't want SOS. I could also provide a body with the fudoshin attached, but I'm not that wedded to them. Eventually I'd like to be able to post a SFW furry option on Nexus.

 

Load screens are another problem. Some of the original skimpy armor just made parts of the armor invisible, so the load screens would be fine. With those, sometimes the body underneath is incomplete and they look terrible. I've mostly ended up editing the mesh itself, so you really need a new nif to do a SFW version. It's not totally horrible, in that the load screens are posed by manipulating a skeleton, so the clothes get posed along with the body. But it means I'd need to have two sets of clothes and export twice--not impossible, just a little extra work. (Not much extra work. Posing is the worst, followed by getting all the trishapes in the nif set up correctly. But I could just paste the SFW clothes into the NSFW nif and be good, so it's not 2x the work.)

 

Also too, the load screens need work anyway to deal with new texture paths, new feet mesh, new tails, etc etc. So I might put some work into this.

Yeah, I agree on making SOS completely optional.

On a side note, you might want to patch the patches (patch-ception?) I noticed that the leather armor added by Beyond Skyrim: Bruma clips with slot 52, even with SOS and the respective patch installed. Might be an issue with other supported mods that add armor as well.

 I'm feeling bad, only looking Yiffy Age of skyrim thread for bit of fun. I'm novel writer but even my novel writing ability seems blocked by too much dark inside of me. I guess, really need the thing pushing me hard and keep me distracted. I said somthing like that before in Project Kara.

 Yes, your guess is right. My mother and Father fight every night when I was young. I always want to hide somewhere where place have no tear, have no fear.  When I was Very young I like Disney Old movies about good always win against evil. Now, I can't dare watch happy story because I knew world have too many grey spot.

 My life like exploring ruins in Skyrim. Most Time everything good there are enough shock bolts for crossbow. but, like stepping pressure plate accidentally, sometime I fall. And, when it did bad Memory hunted me. Currently what I thinking, One thing Father and I try to kill each others, another thing watch follow soldier commit suicide- The Private used Blanket shell. He got little cleaver put a small rock on what lead should placed. rock didn't kill him completely cause Isn't not a lead. He aimed his on mouth, can't talk but still conscious even can move his head. someone need care him while he's bleeding.  I did care, I saw good man died.

 But, worse thing about me is mess killing. South Korea's security is perfect. even police rarely used rusted 80' revolver. I like near modern history. know about percussion cap revolver. I can handle tools and there are pipe, black power are easy to get. South Korea strictly gun restrict nation. Guard and police and only armed lightly. all l do going shopping center. But there is some doubt on me. I called my LGBT counselor somehow, we talked with phone straight 2 hour until I quit my plan.

 Now I have no thought about mess killing because I know every have their dark side just like me. People around me shape me but repay isn't good. really not good. but hurting my self another matter if only affect on me.

 I need to time to recover back to seem normal voice acting like beloved wife material kara is good pressure. She can make forget about my dark hour bit.

 

P.S respect Soldier whatever nation you live. They are one keep horror at bay.

Just had a thought a day or so about this, @Bad Dog, have you heard of and know how to build Fomod installers? From what I've seen, Fomod installers appear to be an easier way to install mods, optional plugins and patches. I'm thinking that it'd be pretty neat if YA5 could have a Fomod installer for an even easier installation. (Just to note, I'm not saying the current method is hard, just it'd be cool to have the mod & all them patches in one download.)

Some Pros:

-One easy download for the entire package.

-Select individual patches with a single click & be good to go.

 

Some Cons:
-When a new patch or file is added users may have to download the entire thing again compared to just that patch. Unless, you find some way to create an updating program or something for it.

-It'd be inevitable that the file size would be huge, potentially too big to download on slow computers.

 

It's probably important to note that I know next to nothing about how to go about building a Fomod installer. I just know that some mods use them (notably SOS & Night eye overall) and I thought such a thing could be good for Yiffy Age.

 

I'd like to hear your thoughts on this. As with everything else that goes on here, it's ultimately your decision if that happens or not.

@Kardienlupus, if that's the kind of story you want to go for, we can do it. Characters aren't that important to me (I didn't even had a backstory for her, unlike my other characters), and the possibility of having a voiced YA-aware Lykaios/Nord follower is too good to let it pass.

 

The problem is that as I said, what you suggested is way out of my skill level, and some of it is also either simply impossible or would require using several other mods (like the Dwemer airship ones, for example) as requirements.

 

Again, if you want to check it out or have done so already, Mizuno's quest and custom dialogue afterwards is basically what I can do for a custom follower (apart from giving them custom voice files). Mostly dialogue-driven, with quest objectives being relatively simple like "talk to X", "find item Y", "kill (or spare) character Z".

 

If we can find a way to repurpose your ideas so that it can still be made with my limited modding knowledge and resources, that's great; but if not, we'll have to change the story up a bit so it remains feasible. And I'd really like to be able to come up with something myself, but as I said I'm not at my best and RL isn't going easy on me right now so that will have to wait until things cool down on my end.

 

@MS1, a FOMOD installer for an All-In-One package is probably a no-go. The file is way too big already, and you increase the chances of crap-tier mod managers like Vortex or NMM screwing up when extracting or installing.

 

What could be done would be to have the main download with the bare minimum files and plugins and then have an All-in-On Patch file with a FOMOD installer so you can pick the patches and optional files you wanted.

 

Seeing the amount of patches that we have right now, the file size would probably be pretty big, but not nearly as much as it would if we merged them with the main download so it should still be manageable.

 

Note that I'm not saying we will do it or anything, just that if we ever do it, that would be the best approach IMO.

They had survived the war, and in the coming future, they found in each other love, and new life. A child born into a world they were loosing sight of. It was changing, and beyond them, was the truth that it had been for longer than they could see. Change was both coming, and already here. People, provinces, Empires. They raised their charge as best they could, but even she was born into this world. Beset upon by the sword as soon a she was old enough to hold it properly, she took upon their calling - that of a soldier. One sworn in life, and in the moments before death, to defend the great Empire of Tamriel. But the fates would be cruel, kind, deceptive, caring, and abusive, at the same time.  

 

First would be the loss of her parents. The fire blamed upon accident, but she knew. That they were involved. Proof was irrelevant. They threatened her parents before, in the great war, in letters and with other warnings that their actions would not go unpunished. No one had to care. No one had to coddle her, but in this time, she wept for what she had lost. It was of no consequence that she was a strong soldier, no. Someone would prey upon this weakness, and the one that would, changed her irrevocably. Mixing within her mind a twisted sense of honor that served purposes not her own. 

 

She turned to the bottle, which gave her the momentary comfort. In this, she was prey for many, but the one who would take her, would take not her body, but her mind. The smiling cat with the glint in her eyes, looking at this woman from the back, a shadowy corner of the bar. Making an offer, the Khajiit mentioned many things, all of them vague, but playing into the girl's hands. Offering companionship, a reprieve to the loneliness. The girl took this to heart, as they both made an intimate connection in the night, before nothing but a moon and star lit sky. Even in the cold, the chill managing to seep litle through the fur, they felt warmth beyond the skin, deeper than the blood. Moans of pleasure, cries of satisfaction, slick fur and skin, leading to a single question. If the girl would join the Khajiit, to experience a different life. The girl said yes, in her stupor. A momentary mistake, stretching to the years ahead. For with a new embrace of this Khajiit, the felt the pain of a bite, breaking through the fur and flesh, but beyond it, was pleasure beyond anything. As her vision faded, her last sight was of a moon cast red with blood. 

 

Thus, the second. 

 

The third would be a twisted morality. Her first victim, a pretty thing. Hailing from the province of High Rock, with a fine red fur, well groomed. This was to be a victim of two crimes. One, to steal the lifeblood of this mewling girl, and the second, to take a forbidden commodity, that many were willing to pay handsomely for - furs, but more importantly, those coming from the high races of Tamriel. 

 

A possible treatment for a journal which she might posses, see if you like it. I can continue this, if you like it.

I did a fomod installer for one of my mods, Compleat Khajiit I think. It was a bunch of work and in the end I got more questions about the install process than I've gotten for my other mods. I think loading the base mod and loading patches is just as understandable for people. If you don't want to use a bunch of slots in MO, just load them all up into one mod--MO allows that.

 

For Kara, I think Inigo is the best model for creating a well-rounded character. He's got a rich backstory, mostly told through dialog and journals, which you can dig into or not as you choose. He doesn't require a bunch of fancy world-building. (Well, the new version does... which is why it's taking so long.) We might hear about inventions we never see on screen. Or we might be able to use assets from, for example, the airship mod (not sure if they're available as modder's assets or not).

 

I'd suggest Kardien take the lead on back story and questline, since she started the ball rolling. Why not look at outlining an initial "recruit Kara" quest?

Noticed something odd on my SSE port that i'm not sure what to do about.

 

On skeletons, are the tails supposed to be animated? Cause for me, they're static and unmoving.

 

If they are supposed to be animated, could this be a load order conflict?

Add the story : The Khajiit mother are decedent from Oringal Kajiit fur trader from Who Captured Dawnguard Fort and left a book of letter. The Khajiit Fur Trader only have a daughter lately. Thus it create tradition that Family's daughter do skinning job. In time pass Khajiit Fur Trader Family changed tactic. Make connection on high court and only kill troubling one-who make social trouble on city, that make no one like that trouble maker- , other thing are who sentenced death -Khjiit family got many connection even to Jailer, they fed well murderer then till when their fur is become good to skinned their hide, next is more easy way but cheap way collect hide from dead ones -but make less profit.

 The Khajiit is one had connection with some high people of empire She and her sister didn't make escape bravil in Great War, after city captured Thalmor agents interogate trader's empire connection then turn her into their informer. To do that They need to scared Fur trader. They other to skinned Trader's beloved sister-who worked imperial court of Bravil.

 The Khajiit select Kara when she viisted city bar with her guard or skinning helpers. She saw Kara has same eye with her sister. It's unknown about whether it's simply pity or memory of her sister and it's guilt make Khajiit took Kara.

 Kara know this fact later when player entered Bruma with her, She decide to revenge on Alter cheetah battle mage who order skinning her stepmother's sister. It give moral choice. Because that battle mage married and have children. maybe there chance introduce her Khajiit stepmother in Burma too.

 

 About Kara's orignal parents. they are neither bad or good. Since Kara born accident in celeberation of battle of red ring-both parents are drunken and lost their mind, just heading same bed-. Parents with different personality often fight at night in drunken stage but good to Kara in day light. That make kara feared and confused. Kara will ask player some point whether her original good or not.

 

To Blaze : I suggest make project Kara in several stage. First just basic but important parts to finish voicing her. Second add new items for Kara inventing like musket crossbow repeater and Airship from other mod if this possible.  Third invite other modder and friends polishing work like adding her inventing town in Fort in Whiterun Hold, fully integrated other mod assets in Kara's mod like make new musket reloading pose.

 

 + Between first and second I hope add something you Blaze like in this mod, I want you are the one also lead Kara story.

 + Kara is furry Follower she talk about furry mainly

 

Lets focus First and early second stage now. can you give Kara enhanced steel Crossbow and modded imperial light armor? and where her starting position should be? also send me a line of scripts. I'll do voice acting. Kara is faction Follower, in another life mod she will save Hadvar.

the undead don't have animated tails, but in theory it could be possible to give them a physics enabled tail of some kind, it's just that no one has the spare time to do that.

Thank you. I'm also doing the story, dialog and most of the planning for the Shark Race mod, if you'd like to check that out, either just to see it, or for ideas on enhancing this character.

The story of the Dawnguard is a bit vague and not well-defined, but the basis is this - the son of Riften's Jarl in the Second Era, was bitten and made a Vampire. Not willing to kill the boy, the Jarl had a fort constructed in the nearby mountains, where his son could remain away from prying eyes. The problem is, that the story from this point is fairly muddled, and not clearly stated. so the remainder is some form of the Dawnaguard being formed as guards for the mentioned Jarl's son, but soon became a group dedicated to hunting down Vampires in Skyrim. The group eventually either succumb to the lure of power that was Vamprism, or fell to wish to stamp out Vampires, to the point where they would often kill those who were not Vampires, but claimed they were. Regardless, the group fell out of favor(more likely with the second mentioned possibility), and became targets for extermination themselves, being at that point nothing more than bloodthirstily mercenaries, ironically. 

 

So I would suggest that the Fur Trader book was written by someone that either was one of the last Vampires they captured, a Khajiit, obviously, or they knew and perhaps stole the book sometime before being captured by the Dawnguard - this being before the group fell. Or you could say this book was in the possession of a recent capture by the Fourth Era Dawnguard, a Khajiiti Vampire who was also someone the Female Khajiit who turned Kara, recruited into this profession.

This Khajiit seems to have been coughing up blood, his chin stained red. What seems to be a silver brace is around his cut tongue, possibly arresting his ability to heal his wounds. (Meaning he technically can't talk, and won't have any in-game dialog).

Caught this one near Riften, late in the night. Damned fool though it was a good idea to try and attack one of the Priestesses of the Temple of Mara as she stood outside the temple a few night ago. The signs of him being a Vampire are clear, and not only that, he was in possession of materials usually used in the skinning of animals. A book suggested enough about what he was trying to do - he seems to have been involved in the trading of furs, but instead of wolves or bears, he was after the fur of the Priestess. Disgusting. Some of the boys got him to talk, and he did mention another, but not much else about her. After he said something about "You will never find her", we cut his tongue off, and braced it with silver so it won't grow back, to cut down on his yelling. Most are against keeping him alive, but Isran believes the "other" he mentioned might be a Vampire, and worth tracking down. 

So he would be chained up close to the book, possibly wearing nothing.

I'd say the first step is getting at least a first draft a script for her, i.e the lines you wish to voice. It isn't exactly how the game looks at it internally, but there are examples of how I've written dialog for the Shark race mod in the thread for the mod. An example is this post - the characters being a Selachii(Shark) blacksmith in Dragon Bridge, and Akario, a male Selachii who will be near the Solitude docks, hopefully close to a ship of his own, the Taiho - Link.

 

You most likely want to start with that first, once you get a clear picture of who this character is.

I don't think this is a bad idea, but I don't think it fits the Elder Scrolls. One could say that maybe the Dwemer could have went so far as to invent guns, but with access to magic, why bother?

An option for additional content like that is possible, I even plan for something similar, for the Shark Race mod. But I'd advise against that - this meaning changing vanilla events, or possibly even LAL's content, especially since saving Hadvar or Ralof is option, and they will likely appear during their requisite appearances later, no matter if the player saves one or the other, or not. You could have something that mentions if he is alive, but this depends on if you want the majority of her dialog or interactions to require the player to be either neutral in the Civil War, or on the Imperial side.

They actually do have "animated" tails in the original Beast Skeletons mod, because it includes a modified skeleton (the "animation" kind of skeleton) for skeletons and draugr with tail bones that have some kind of ragdoll physics data attached, so they move and are affected by physics and stuff.

In the meantime, what I can say is that seems like you got the fur trader story wrong. It's not that the fur trader was captured by the Dawnguard, it's just that the book was added in the Dawnguard DLC, just like several other books (including the "Sultry Argonian Bard", the male version of the Lusty Argonian Maid). As far as I know, there's no in-lore relation between the book (and the fur trader) and the actual Dawnguard order or Fort Dawnguard.

 

That being said, if you want to pretend the fur trader (whose gender is not specified in the book, BTW) was a vampire who was captured by the Dawnguard and left the book there before fleeing instead of going with the simpler explanation (someone simply brought the book to the Fort), guess it could be done as well.

Yeah, the idea is that the added Khajiit is meant to be the reason the book is there, though I don't mean this particular Khajiit to be the same one who actually wrote the book, just that he has/had a copy, or perhaps the original. It might not have too much significance to Kara's plot, or maybe it does, but that would bring with it a single problem, for at least the Vampire side of the questline - if he is involved with her quest, and you've already past the point in the DG questline where you can access the Valley or the Fort itself(though it is of note that I have not gone back to the Valley/Fort after getting that far myself, save for when doing the specific quest to destroy the Dawnguard), it may not be possible to easily get into the fort to proceed with the quest.

By recommendation to post about it here, ahh, is there anyone with the necessary skills who'd be up for facelifting this rat race mod?

 

It doesn't seem too bad on it's own, but there do seem to be some unfinished feeling bits and the model as-is doesn't quite mesh well alongside the other YA races. So I was looking around for anyone who might be interested in patching it up?

some of the original load screens still have a skeleton in them therefor i can extract the pose from them and apply it directly onto your skeletons, also i can make your load screen meshes updateable/replaceable like Blaze's are:

What could be done would be to have the main download with the bare minimum files and plugins and then have an All-in-On Patch file with a FOMOD installer so you can pick the patches and optional files you wanted.

Yeah, I listed in my Cons that it'd inevitably be a pretty big download for an all in one. But yeah, that sounds like it'd be the best way to do it.

I can't say much for Vortex as I never used it, but, while NMM is certainly inferior to MO, it still got the job done. Would I switch back? Heck no. I love my separate saves per profile way to much. On NMM I had to use a 3rd party program to achieve that. A program that probably got abandoned before Special Edition became a thing. So I don't think there'd be any SSE alternatives outside MO.

While I have your attention though, in YA5, will you be moving the beast schlongs (currently included in the main download) to it's own download, possibly paired with Blaze's schlongs? I'm thinking that it'd be best to have the files that require SOS as a separate download, at least, that's what I'd do. If not, then it's no biggie, I can just delete it like I've done before.

 

Also just to clarify: back in July (I think) you said that YA5 could release in December, is that still the case? If so, then I think I'll hold off on my next play-through until then. For now, I'll probably keep looking at mods to add to a "patch wishlist." XD

No need, I have all the posed skeletons loaded up in blender already. The PITA is getting the resulting models out of blender and into a usable nif. It's not hard, just a bunch of parts.

 

Status update: First pass done on all races. Face tints for everything but the cats are done--cats I think are fine as they are. New panthers are done and look good, I think. Now I need to do a second pass to finalize Lykaios and hunt for missing textures, especially on schlongs, and check seams. Also decide if any lykaios facial hair should be given to other races (lions and foxes might benefit from goatees). Then facegen the world and I'll do a photoshoot.

 

Remaining work: Fix up broken load screens. Turn hagravens into Ulri, maybe. Separate the digitigrade feet. Clean up some of the hair.

I did change the root node name, or at least I think I did, but it still gave me some error about missing links/parents. I dunno, I might have forgotten to change something, or I may have been trying to copy the wrong entry. I'll check them out whenever I get the chance and see if they work.

 

I had to edit the skeleton meshes to delete the tails because with the XPMSE skeleton skeleton they would be static and float above the rest of the body; not a big deal but it was a nice detail and I'd like to have the tails back, so here's to hoping these files do work out.

I'm always happy to help bring more anthro races to Skyrim or help improve existing ones, but that one is too rough and WIP so there isn't much I can do about it. It would basically have to be rebuilt from the ground up, and I don't have the skills required to do so myself.

 

Bad Dog would probably be able to do something about it, but he's pretty busy with YA and I don't know if he would be willing to work on a rat race, let alone work on any race whatsoever after all the work he's putting into YA.

 

EDIT: also, if I may ask, where (or who) did that recommendation come from? I'm always curious about possible mentions of YA elsewhere in LL or other pages, but I don't think I've seen any outside of related mods (i.e. Nightro's Khajiit Overhaul page or any of my own ones).

If there's anything you can outsource to us, we'll be happy to give you a hand with it. MMG can probably help with load screens, and I may be able to take care of some other stuff if it doesn't require advanced texturing or mesh work. Just sayin'.

MMG's method works just fine on exporting, and the upside is that once they are on a nif, new meshes can be pasted over it like if they were standard armor/clothing/body nifs, so updating or changing the meshes in the load screens is way easier than having to re-export the scene from Blender.

Looking forward to that photoshoot. Please do make sure to include some panthers in there so we can check out their new looks. And hyenas and jackals as well, if their new textures are done already (or at least close to being done).

Feel free to merge my Ulri replacer plugin into YA or use it as a base, that should save you some time. The download also includes only the bare minimum required Birds files for female Ulri, so you can use them as well if you want to save some time and file size.

Sounds like it only is good for games with simpler mods.
