Dwemer ballistas and crossbows are used by many of the automatons and can also be crafted by the player in Dawnguard once you complete the quest to recover the schematics for them; and IIRC there were mentions of powder (or maybe magic?)-based cannons carried by ships back in Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard and some books in Daggerfall. EDIT: as for her bond with the Legion, both her parents served there, so that's a pretty strong connection; and there's also the fact that the Legion (and the Empire) are one of the few things preventing the Thalmor from taking over Tamriel (something she wouldn't want to happen after seeing what horrors the Great War brought), so she would be willing to join it and help protect the Empire and all of mankind huh, dogkind? from the evil Thalmor plans to "undo" the world and erase them from existance.

That's not exactly what I meant to say. I mean, yeah, what you said too; but I mostly meant to say that having her as some mad inventor trying to bring modern warfare machines to Tamriel simply doesn't feel good as a plot device. I just don't think it fits her, or at least not my image of her. I'd honestly look for a different plot device for her story that isn't "help her make it easier to kill people by creating more effective weapons or prevent her from doing so". Just my two cents, though.

It's pretty frustrating because I can tell that some of your previous suggestions (like the "mad inventor" thing) don't fit with my image of her and the story I would like to give her, but when I try to think about what that image is and what I actually want, I go blank. Please don't think I just criticise without offering any alternatives, because that's not my intention at all. I'll keep at it and see what happens, but in the meantime, if you (or anybody else) have any other ideas you want to suggest, I'm all ears.

I was that guy that asked for SFW statues a while back. Seems to happen with most if not all cuirasses in the game, from the base game, dlc, and probably even supported mod armors. I have a feeling that it may be a Yiffy Age issue, but perhaps it's something I'm doing wrong on my end? On a unrelated note, I remember there being talk of an Immersive Armors patch, is that still planned? Would it come after the v5.0 update? While we're speaking of patches, I'd really like it if some patches of skyrimlazz's player homes could be made. Most notably, Dragonfall Castle (Probably his best home, although to be fair, the only other one I used was Ayleid Palace Remastered. Dragonfall is a little more lore-friendly in comparison though.) that particular home houses a unique set of armor (looks pretty good too) it seems that a custom mesh for the helmet would be required for the patch. Plus there's a custom statue in the pool room that could be furryfied. Not too mention, there's quite a few npcs added that could be given custom looks & such if desired, they're otherwise generic/not unique. I've got a very basic self-made patch set up & working for it. (Just all but the manikin race is removed from the armor addon for helmets & boots) it'd be nice if ya'll could touch it up though. As far as the discussion for the custom npc, Kara goes, the concept sounds nice, but I think additional npcs not included in the vanilla game, dlc, or patches, would be best made as a separate mod with YA as a dependency. The idea is essentially the same as what the Shark Race mod already does, i.e adding followers/NPCs to the game, which the mentioned mod's main version caters to Yiffy Age specifically, including vanilla NPC's fitting Yiffy Age's aesthetics. Though the Shark Race mod does offer the followers and NPCs as part of an optional plugin, so it would still be very similar. I personally would not have a problem if the character was part of Yiffy Age by default, though it of course isn't my call to make.

But there's also the fact that there is another main limiting factor on what can be done for her quest and her backstory that you don't seem to be taking into account: technical limitations. And also skill limitations. So far, my skills with coding and mod-making and such only go so far, and pretty much all of the suggestions you have made so far are outside of my current skill level. That doesn't mean it couldn't be done if we found a more experienced modder willing to work on the project or I did some research to try to improve my skills, but as it stands right now, it's simply not an option. If you want an example of the most complex custom follower I can create, that would be Mizuno from my shark mod. He has a custom quest to get him as a follower, and once he's a follower, he has custom dialogue options to ask about his thoughts and a few other things. That's pretty much as complex as Kara could get with my current skills. I'm not completely sure because the image is pretty low-res, but that looks like the loincloth/fundoshi underwear clipping through the clothes. That would mean the clothes were not assigned the Slot 52 as they should have so they cover the underwear when worn and you don't get the clipping. In my opinion at least. As Kuroyami said, the mod will probably be made as a separate plugin dependent on YA if/when it's made. Whether said plugin will be included in the main YA download or offered as a separate file, we still haven't decided yet, but even if we pack it into the main file, all you need to do if you want to skip it is to not enable the extra plugin or even delete it altogether.

As to that though,you could install SOS, which you can do for for the better body mesh it offers for males, and not install any of it's included addons(which won't look right with Yiffy Age anyway). Yiffy Age adds schlong addons through it's YiffyAgeSchlongs plugin, which if you don't use that, any male NPCs should be wearing the loincloth/fundoshi when naked. Additionally, if you already use XPMSE(which you should be, even without using and sex/nudity mods), then do not enable the skeleton option when installing SOS.

Some serious witchcraft is at work here. XD Imgur has "blacklisted" LL so if you try to link an image from here, you get an error. Easiest way around it is to install a Chrome plugin called Referer Control that prevents the "referer" from working so Imgur doesn't know you come from LL and thus can't block your request. There's a thread somewhere on the forums on how to set it up and I've never had issues with Imgur since I did it a while ago. If you don't have the plugin installed or are browsing on mobile, plan B is to open the image in a new tab (which will cause a "Forbidden 403" error), select the adress bar as if you were to type anything else, and tap Enter/Go. This usually works to confuse the referer and allow you to see the image, and that's how I saw it. SOS assigns Slot 52 to schlongs (and by extension anything that covers a schlong). When you open the game, SOS alters the slot data of all chest items in the game to also add Slot 52 so that whenever you equip a chest item like armor or clothes, the schlong is properly hidden. YA gives the races a naked skin that includes underwear in Slot 52, so that when a schlong is not equipped for whatever reason (no schlong assigned, script load taking a while to equip the schlong, etc.), you don't have a hole in the crotch but rather the underwear instead. If you don't have SOS installed, chest items don't get the Slot 52 added to their data, so when you equip them they don't hide the underwear from that slot and you see it clipping through the clothes/armor. The way to fix it would be to manually edit each and every single chest item in the game to add Slot 52 to them, but it's waaaay easier to simply install the base SOS plugin (.ESM) and let it take care of that on runtime automatically. 41 minutes ago, MS1 said: While I have your attention, just a fast question. In order to make SFW load screens, they would have to be recreated from scratch, and creating load screens from scratch using Bad Dog's current method is a huge pain indeed, so that's why it wasn't high on the to-do list. Also because the current load screens only have casual nudity at most (i.e. poses are not sexual in nature, the characters just happen to have their bits out), so we didn't really see the point. If I may ask, why are you so adamant on total and absolute SFW-ness? I'd understand it if everything about the mod was extremely sexual and pornographic, but that's not the case.
