I used DDe to remove my character from slave faction, and within a few seconds after leaving the menu and back to the game, i was approached by Ysolda with bad intents.

 

Works like a charm now, i knew it had something to do with my game. Thank you both for the tips and help!

the invisible NPC Issue isnt caused by DEC

 

Quick Questions:

- are those 3 Followers of your PC?

- is one of them controlled by Maria Eden?

- do they wear custom armor you gave them?

- do sometimes other NPCs around you get invisible?

- What Bodymods you use for Body Texture?

i have the same issue if:

> i have too many NPC around with HDT armor/bouncing/hair/cloaks

> ME controlled NPC after cell change (if i understand it correct ME gives NPCs a bit longer loading times after cellchange)

> too many 2k+ resolution armor/clothes/jewelery on my followers

> too many HDT devious devices on NPCs (like HDT chains, HDT moving plugs/gags)

> too many NPC with 4K body textures

> incompatible bodytextures/effects

> cells where LOD collides from different city/quest/flora/light mods

> to many population mods running in one cell (for example populated series + capital mods + quest mods + follower mods)

 

you can try this: HDT invisibility fix    -> helps sometimes

you can use ENBboost if you dont have it already

 

 

and its possible that you have mod conflicts in your loadorder and old DD mods mixed with new ones:

- EFT + AFT -> i never have tried what happens if you mix follower control mods

- realistic ragdoll and force is already integrated in xpmse

 

 

thats just my first thoughts about your loadorder and invisi issue

(and my english is rusty tonight)

 

 

 

 

It seems that the enslavement part still does not work for me after using the new update.

 

I enabled the pop-up messages instead of the console and i got this notification "DEC/CRDE: Approach failed, you were being approached by (Slave Trader) for 25 game minutes"

 

Did you see the slave trader and were they running at you at any point?

 

Can you test standing still in a crowded room and see if any of them approach you?

 

DEC v13.8.6 works for me now, got approached by NPCs for enslavement dialog.

Bad thing: it was the trapper from trap&pitfalls mod (CTD, so no one got hurt) and after that an NPC from Sexlab Kidnapped redux (got me stuck)

Good thing: enslavement dialog works again ;D

 

I gave the sexlab kidnapped author instructions to tell DEC (and a dozen other mods) when it's busy weeks back, I haven't had a chance to play with the mod yet.

 

Haven't played with trap and pitfalls yet either, I'll look into a way to detect it.

Do you mean that they don't show up as followers in the DEC follower menu or that their bodies have turned completely transparent?

 

If you meant they don't show as followers in the menu, you have to add them manually or wait until you have sex with them first.

 

I haven't seen the NPC invisible bug in a long time, but the only way I know to cause NPCs being 100% invisibile in the world is to delete them from the esp incompletely (I tried to remove all badass bandits from SD cages once, they were still there but invisible)

 

Are you sure DEC is the cause of this in your load order? It seems like everyone on this site plays with DCL and I play with it too (when my game works) I wouldn't expect you alone would bring this to me if this was a common issue between the mods.

Haha, indeed.

Only small downside is that i will have to remember to manually remove the slave faction every time the PC gets freed but i now know there is this option available.

I have those faction issues too after:

> SD+ enslavement (zaz slave faction)

> DCL "little bondage adventure", quest seems to finish but stays registered as running -> enslaved: bondage adventure quest

 

for SD: i am not sure if this is a build in feature of SD to prevent you to get enslaved again too fast and SD will remove that faction after a while. Because i am impatient i remove myself from this faction with DDe or console

 

for DCL: you will have to stop the quest manualy via console -> help bondage (will show up the quest) -> stopquest (quest id if i remember correct and stage 1000 i guess?)

 

News to me.

 

I thought I fixed all the old DCL quests being detected, but I'll see if I can fix that. I didn't think it was SD+ that was leaving that faction active, need to find out if there's a real reason for it to be left on the player or if I can put in a workaround. Good to know what mod it is at least.

Do you have mod organizer? Those three NPCs are all from Cursed loot, now I'm curious if you look in MO's data viewing window on the right if you see any DCL files being overwritten by another mod?

 

If you fast travel to the dollshop, does the dollshop owner lady (sasha's mother) also appear invisible? What about the guy who stands in whiterun square as part of leon/leah's quest? If all NPCs from cursed loot were invisible I would check if anyone else in the cursed loot support thread has your issues, since it would seem to be cursed loot related.

 

I can't think of a reason for DEC to cause issues with those NPCs, DEC doesn't modify them at all, doesn't even get their references through the esp, has no actor assets at all to override.

i guess i misinterpreted your loadorder as all active mods (happens to me all the time with MO loadorders) :blush: 

as verstort says: it seems to be an issue with your DCL installation

you could check if you can see the devious devices of DCL, maybe its a bodyslide issue

My mistake - thought those NPCs are from DEC. Sorry bout that, but anyway thanks for your help (:

 

Oh no, DEC adds no NPCs to the game.

 

In the future you can figure out what resources come from what mod by opening console and clicking on a resource with your mouse, it will show a objectID for what you clicked and the first two numbers ("12" from 0x12345678) will match the load order for the mod it's from (hex load order, from 00->FF) (00 is base game, 01-03 is from expansions, FF is spare dynamic memory, everything else is mod space) this works for walls of buildings, actors, armors on the ground,

 

Warning though, mouse clicking can click invisible or partly visible references between what you want to click and your character, like fog, the edges of trees (which are square) so it's best to type 'disable' in console to check and see what you have selected, it will disapear from the world, you can then re-enable it if you need/want to with 'enable'. You can also use mouse wheel over the item you want and it will sequentially select IDs for all items under your mouse, but I find that confusing and only helpful when I know the one reference I want will have it's own separate mod id so I can spot it easily apart from the others.

 

Not knowing what mod something comes from happens all the time for me, too many mods get installed and then forgotten.

Thanks for helping me out.

After tinkering with the settings and checking the console more often i believe i found the cause of the issue.

 

These are the following lines worth of note from the console:

 

[CRDE] enslaved: in zaz slave faction 2

[CRDE] slave lvl: 2  weapon: 0

[CRDE] Found NPC confident enough: Ysolda

[CRDE] player is un-enslaveable, cannot re-enslave yet: level 2

[CRDE] rolled too low for sex or enslavement, exiting...

 

So it seems my character has somehow remained in the zaz slave faction and thus is not legible for enslavement approaches, right?

I have the same issue + the line "[CRDE] enslaved: zad block generic keyword item, level 2" at the beginning, but apparently I can't see the slave faction in DDe, any idea ?

zad block generic is a keyword belonging to Devious Devices, when it is put on an item that means other mods shouldn't remove it from the player. Your character is wearing one, which locks DEC from allowing slavery mods because several of them ignore this flag, remove the item, and break the mod's items/quests/sequences.

 

There is one exception: Cursed loot, which has a list of items that have that keyword but they do not break if removed. There is an option in the DEC MCM menu that allows you to ignore DCUR items on the player and allow enslavement anyway if the only items on the player that have that keyword are from DCUR. The option is in the Enslavement submenu, second item on the left "Cursed loot blocking".

I have a bit of a strange problem.  Recently, my character has not been approached by any NPCs at all.  I have changed and lowered all vulnerability protection, and tried making my character as vulnerable as possible, to no avail.  When I checked the console upon CRDE update, I noticed that the same three NPCs appear under the closest list, regardless of where in skyrim my character was.

[CRDE] closest npc(s): 1:Apprentice Necromancer, 2:Conjurer Adept, 3:Ice Mage Adept

 

The second line never changes.  I'm not sure if this is a conflict with another mod, or if the problem lies within Deviously Enslaved itself.  Does anyone have an idea of how to correct this?  Enslaved worked on this character previously, and has only recently stopped functioning properly.  Any help would be appreciated, as I would like to avoid starting an entirely new save.

 

 

 

I updated the file to the current version, and that eliminated the closest npcs line, but now all I see is the OnUpdate line, no npc detection at all, and no approach by NPCs.

Yup, thats exactly what happened.  Everything is working as it should now.  Thanks for the help, my game felt somewhat empty with this mod inactive.

 

EDIT:  Now it seems to want to hang whenever the mod attempts to update player vulnerability.  It just endlessly updates without ever completing.  Frustrating.  Could it be a compatibility issue with Devious Framework?  I have never had an issue before with Enslaved, and the only mod I added to this character versus previous characters is Framework.

Can you get me a papyrus log of that first vulnerability after the reset?

Sure.  Fresh log, reset monitor, then waited for three minutes.  I even got CRDE to hook for post sex, but still no update on vulnerability.  Looking over the log, there is definitely something going on with the script at 2:46:03.

Odd.

 

That variable no longer exists, I changed it in 13.8.0 I think. For some reason it didn't update for your save, but my old saves updated with the right variable...

 

Only thing I can think to do is save clean to fix this. I've seen the log complain that the esp wants to set the default of a variable, but never complain that it can't find a variable like this before. I'm guessing there's some state in the save game from the old version which is broken and other than save cleaning I have no way to change it (can't alter stack from console)

Yeah looking back, I should have asked for help before I updated, since I could probably have just restarted the monitor and fixed the problem.  Oh well, I'll clean save and hope for the best.  I can always play without the approaches and use DCL's feature instead, and just use the post-sex hooks from Enslaved if save cleaning fails.  Thanks for the help, I really appreciate your time and the work you put into the mod itself.

Yeah looking back, I should have asked for help before I updated, since I could probably have just restarted the monitor and fixed the problem.

 

Without having seen your log I would have recommended updating first too, and since stopquest didn't clear the bad script from your active memory, I'm not sure fixing it before updating would have changed anything.

 

If you try to revert  to your older version and reset the quest, I recommend trying to upgrade before the mod goes into another cycle. Set the update interval in MCM's first page to some long interval, wait until you see the mod active in console, then quickly reset and save. I don't have faith though; Skyrim's papyrus engine decides if a script's code gets updated when a mod updates, and I don't know why it ignores the new code on certain occasions, stuck code like this isn't the only time it ignores the new code.

I see you added a general safeguard for SD+ to prevent enslavement, could you do the same for Slaverun ?  Numerous time has my character been asked to be enslaved during the training, it's not a big deal but I had to disable the mod for a time.

Really? Which version are you on for SRR?

 

I haven't played through the whole quest yet, but I set DEC to assume the player is unapproachable during the intro, approachable for sex while in a slave city, and enslavment locked elsewhere unless you toggle the slaverun quest lock which if unselected would allow enslavement approach while not in a city that is enslaved and after the intro.

 

But since I haven't played that far It could be broken after the first city. I didn't think training was broken but maybe something changed in 2.0.

 

 

Edit: also, if you installed SRR after DEC, don't forget to reset mods in DEC or SRR flags will be ignored by DEC. Reset mods is right hand side of last page.

I'm on the latest version but maybe as you said the reason is that it happened during the intro.  I don't really know at which point you're starting to track Slaverun but there are some phases during the enslavement and the initial training where you can wander and have to talk manually to NPCs.  During those dialogues, a few NPCs approched my character to enslave them.

 

I'll try to reset the mods as you said :)

Looking at my code, DEC checks the training quest, main quest, and location currently. Possible the training quest checks are out of order, but they all result in enslave >= 1 so you shouldn't be approached for any of them. Maybe someting else is out of sequence though.

 

These outcomes are printed to papyrus log when they are detected. I fyou see [crde] enslaved: *** it should report these if it was working correctly.

 

I expect you'll find errors or nothing in your log though, either errors because the training quest has changed target and won't load or nothing because SRR isn't loaded into DEC and so it won't reach this far into the code

Thanks for helping me out.

After tinkering with the settings and checking the console more often i believe i found the cause of the issue.

 

These are the following lines worth of note from the console:

 

[CRDE] enslaved: in zaz slave faction 2

[CRDE] slave lvl: 2  weapon: 0

[CRDE] Found NPC confident enough: Ysolda

[CRDE] player is un-enslaveable, cannot re-enslave yet: level 2

[CRDE] rolled too low for sex or enslavement, exiting...

 

So it seems my character has somehow remained in the zaz slave faction and thus is not legible for enslavement approaches, right?

I have the same issue + the line "[CRDE] enslaved: zad block generic keyword item, level 2" at the beginning, but apparently I can't see the slave faction in DDe, any idea ?

 

 

I had this exact problem for awhile that seems to have persisted through versions.  To fix your slave level, type 

help zbffa

in the console.  The first faction listed is the slave faction.  Use

player.removefac XXXXXXXXX

where XXXXX=the id of the first slave faction.  This will reset your level to 0.

Yup, thats exactly what happened.  Everything is working as it should now.  Thanks for the help, my game felt somewhat empty with this mod inactive.

 

EDIT:  Now it seems to want to hang whenever the mod attempts to update player vulnerability.  It just endlessly updates without ever completing.  Frustrating.  Could it be a compatibility issue with Devious Framework?  I have never had an issue before with Enslaved, and the only mod I added to this character versus previous characters is Framework.

 

 

I am also seeing this.  Using the stop/startquest fixes it for the first scan, then it hangs again.  Additionally, 13.8.6 also crashed my game if I try to save after I clean the save.  My previous fix for this problem was to

1 save,

2 disable mod 

3 load

4 save 

5 clean 

6 re-enable mod

 

With 13.8.6 the game crashes to desktop at step 4.
