That is exactly what it does.  Look first at it with Tes5Edit to get the ids.  I think they are all like sla_desire and the magic affects apply a "perk" for a while depending on arousal that reduces your ability to learn

 

 

Sorry a bit OT here, ban I pick your brains a little more on this. I'll need to get a bit more into the detailed workings of spell effects in CK, but the question that came to mind is would there be any problems with effects stacking properly.

 

Say for example I create a "Slow Learner" spell which slows down learning by 50% would the SLA 5% arousal effect simply get added or would they calculate sequentially according to load order (e.g. 50% reduction then a further 5% reduction of the product) or would it simply ignore one of them?

 

 

 

I actually have no idea.  My suspicion is that they are additive (because you can have stamina, etc add for multiple items for example), but I have never tested it with perks.

So how often does the game check for Exposure? When I have my character set as Exhibitionist, being naked seems to make her arousal rocket upward at about 5 points a second. Is there somewhere that can be adjusted?

Does this mod not work with Matchmaker? It does not seem to lower arousal at all.

 

If matchmaker does not work, are there other mods that make sexing a follower quick and easy? I tried Sexlab Romance but that did not work out unfortunately.

 

Edit: I was looking into Reward Your Followers but it seems that is not compatible with AFT.

 

Second edit: seems it was a load order issue, I moved it higher up the list and it worked.

 

Has nothing to do with matchmaker.   Arousal is decreased at the conclusion of ANY sex, no matter which mod started it and increased for any observers.

The "game" does not check for exposure.  Aroused checks exposure and computes the value of the faction sla_aroused once each N seconds.  N is settable in the MCM menu.

 

Note that aroused does nothing with the value of sla_aroused.  Other mods use this value for various things.  For example, Sex Slaves uses this value to trigger certain scenes and dialog options.

hello i am having a problem a ctd when farkas changes to werewolf form in bleak falls barrow
i don't know what happens exactly i have moon light tales so i get ctd when he transforms
i don't know what is the problem i tried to register all mods on the creatures framework

Hello! I downloaded v16.7 and installed... my game still thinks it's running v 15.  I followed the installation directions a couple of times... still registers MCM v 15.

 

Any ideas?

You probably installed the loose version and then installed the bsa.  Loose files override the bsa.  Remove the mod, delete the loose files (sla*) and then reinstall or install the new loose version.

 

 

Can somebody please tell me where to look for these SLA.* files? I checked SEQ and there is nothing there related to SLA.

 

EDIT: Ok I checked the SCRIPTS folder and there are none of those files listed. I'm going to uninstall the BSA and install the loose files....

 

EDIT: Loaded the loose files. Works now. NAILED IT!

I took a brief look at your log.  You are not having stack dumps, so that is a good thing.

 

You issue is most likely going to be papyrus overload.  It could be because of orphaned scripts left over from mods you uninstalled as I see some evidence of that.  As a first step, I would run SaveTool.exe on it to see if that fixes things.  Its quick and easy.  If that does not help, I would post on this forum http://www.loverslab.com/topic/43043-skyrim-modding-guide/ and ask for guidance on your mod load.  I do not see any of the known big papyrus users, but then again, I don't recognize 80% of the mods you have loaded.

 

What I can tell you fore sure is that even though Redux is the last thing in you papyrus log, it will not be your issue.  Writing that message in your log is the last thing it does before exiting.

i was able to fix the problem removing live another life , ponytail club , fox club

i was two questions though

does sort masters , clean masters via Tes5edit does any damage to the mods installed or the game

The problem i have now is somehow whenever there are nudes actors wondering around this mod goes beserk and turns arousel to 100 % is there a way to turn exposere down a bit ?? i also have mods like sex slaves by hydrogen witch wonder around everywhere naked.

My problem was that in the MCM Settings, "Cell scan frequency seconds" was set to 0 for some reason. I set it to the default number (120) and the speed of arousal change seems much more sensible now.

Does this mod not work with Matchmaker? It does not seem to lower arousal at all.

 

If matchmaker does not work, are there other mods that make sexing a follower quick and easy? I tried Sexlab Romance but that did not work out unfortunately.

 

Edit: I was looking into Reward Your Followers but it seems that is not compatible with AFT.

 

Second edit: seems it was a load order issue, I moved it higher up the list and it worked.

 

Has nothing to do with matchmaker.   Arousal is decreased at the conclusion of ANY sex, no matter which mod started it and increased for any observers.

Sometimes (perhaps specially after being in the MCM) it seems the update speed goes down to 0. Anyone else experienced this?

So how often does the game check for Exposure? When I have my character set as Exhibitionist, being naked seems to make her arousal rocket upward at about 5 points a second. Is there somewhere that can be adjusted?

 

The "game" does not check for exposure.  Aroused checks exposure and computes the value of the faction sla_aroused once each N seconds.  N is settable in the MCM menu.

 

Note that aroused does nothing with the value of sla_aroused.  Other mods use this value for various things.  For example, Sex Slaves uses this value to trigger certain scenes and dialog options.

Can't imagine that Live another life can cause any problems.  I use it myself.  As for the other two, I have no idea.

 

Sorting and cleaning masters should have not impact, but I would clean then individually. 

 

Don't understand your question about 2 cell edits of the same location unless you are referring to two mods changing the same cell.  In this case, the last change in the mod load order wins and it's cell change will be in your game.  There are ways to make a patch though where both edits happen.

Clicking the defaults is a reasonable way to run.  Make sure cell scans is set to some value > 30 seconds unless you are playing around.  The default 120 works for me and results in a very low papyrus impact for Aroused.

Having cell scans set to 0 means continuous.  It should only happen if you force it that way.  If anyone is able to reproduce a circumstance where it gets set to 0 without you manually changing it, I will fix that problem instantly.

Version 17 is Available

 

This version fixes a problem where if you start a new game and open the MCM menu and do not set the cell scan frequency, it might get set to zero.  This is a very minor change and only affects new games.  Nothing will have changed for existing games.

I've been using v16 and I've been having a problem where creatures don't become aroused, because their sexuality defaults to "use sexlab default", and for whatever reason that defaults to male.

 

And so since I'm playing a female character, I have to go through the process of targeting the creature, going into Aroused, Puppet Master, and set gender preference to female, every time. Only then will the creature become aroused in my character's presence and things like SLAC will trigger.

 

I don't know if this is a problem with Aroused, or Sexlab, or what?

Hi,

 

i have a strange problem with the Time Rate - If i check status it has very low values (0.006326 for example). If I try to adjust manually with the mcm menu, it goes down again to the previous value by itself - its just a matter of seconds. I see from the description, that Time Rate is meant to decrease by itself over time, but this fast?

 

Tried so far: New installation of mod with cleaned save - no difference

 

Is there a way to supply debug information?

I've noticed in slamainscr.psc, line 456. That the masturbate key ignores what you tell Sexlab your gender is over your Papyrus gender. By changing that from

If (PlayerRef.GetLeveledActorBase().GetSex() == 0)

to

If (SexLab.GetGender(PlayerRef) == 0)

 

will then make it to whatever you set your Sexlab gender to thats done by other mods.

The only possible problem is if cell scan frequency is too low.

 

Most likely case is that an external dependent mod is changing it.  I post in papyrus log every time I make a change and it should be like ever 2 minutes.

 

If it is being changed in between the cell scans, something else is doing it.

This is a very easy change to make and I was just about to do it,

However, because Aroused is used by so many other mods, I decided to leave it alone.  Perhaps in the future, I'll make an MCM menu option which defaults to the way it is now.

I notice in the Description you mention that a mod was dumping papyrus spam because it was calling the old slaUtilScr for directly accessing GetActorArousal() (which obviously slaUtilScr is redundant in Redux and kept for backwards compatibility).
And you offered the testmod in your downloads to resolve the issue.

Is there any negative repercussion if I just change the property in a mod that uses the above method?
eg: set old mod property to use slaFrameworkScr instead to call GetActorArousal().

Or is just plain better off just to query the Aroused faction rank on an actor instead.
(I'd imagine it would be quicker if the 3rd party mod queries the faction then to call GetActorArousal(), but that was only a guess as I've tried both methods but I haven't benched either method at this point)

Currently I'm editing SL Attraction (and adding some other attractiveness evaluations) to bring it up to speed with Aroused Redux

Always use the faction, it's a thousand times faster.

 

Calling GetActorArousal() actually triggers a cascade of status checks, performs the arousal calculations and then updates the faction rank.

Cheers, I assumed as much when looking through aroused code and saw what GetActorArousal() invokes, queries and sets.

Agree entirely with Sailing Rebel.  Just use sla_aroused faction.  It is already computed.  You can also call the underlying storageUtil functions if you need to get down to the nitty gritty.

 

Finally, there is a new ModEvent that Redux uses to increase arousal without a lot of fuss and muss.  Check the sample program for details.

Will be looking into the ModEvent you mentioned (saw it in the description as well).

Will come in handy when I get to that part editing Attraction.

Give/Take a minor pump of arousal based on attractiveness to the player or vica~versa.

Still trying to knock out on expanding what attractiveness is based on eg: Eye color, voice type, beard/no beard etc.

As well as making it a little more user flexible as to how it behaves configured in MCM (updated and changed layout).

eg: user can select only certain or all element filtering as what to base attractiveness on.

(hopefully without cluttering or bogging it down).

I now see why the original author of Attraction opted for not querying the faction and using slower method of using GetActorArousal() directly (unless I'm missing something or something isn't working right on my end with Aroused).

 

When getting Arousal from the faction when in an area you haven't been before then most the actors are not yet added to the Arousal Faction, therefore constantly returning -2 until you target them and hit the Aroused stat key.

All's fine once they are in the Aroused faction.

 

At least when calling GetActorArousal() from another mod your pretty well assured a valid return (well at least a higher percent chance of a valid Arousal  return anyway), relying on the faction value just seems hit and miss in areas you haven't been and the actors are valid.

 

Using Aroused Faction rank to get Arousal may return faster, but reality is it's slower over all due to the time length before a new area of actors actually get added to the the Aroused Faction.

 

That's what I'm experiencing atm.

Using the original way of GetActorArousal() seems to speed up the whole process of the new areas actors all being Aroused and Attraction statted  basically as quick as I enter the area.

(Probably at the expense of extra load on papyrus).

 

Maybe I can just do a dynamic hybrid of the 2 methods.

eg: Query Faction, if -2 then call GetActorArousal().

This way when everyone is already in the Aroused faction I'm not adding unneeded papyrus load.

Trade off of being slightly slower per call but still a little quicker then waiting for new area actors to be added to Aroused Faction.

sla_aroused being -2 is perfectly fine in my view for npcs not yet encountered.   If you intent is to compute attraction for every npc in the game to every other npc in the game, it really boils down presenting the results of attraction to the PC.  Therefore, it is perfectly fine to wait till the PC gets into an area.

 

One final note.  PLEASE don't use the skse method of scanning an area as is commonly done.  Use the method used by Redux or you'll end up with a papyrus hog that will kill everyones game.
