I have a trouble with the ebonite panel gag, where only half of the ebonite texture is visible, and the rest is still in leather. How can I fix this?

It's an armor addon problem.

 

I've had that problem myself and have reported it in the past, but Kimy didn't rectify the problem, so I've had to make a patch rectifying it, located within a mod of my own creation, for private usage.

 

Fixing the problem is quite easy. I'll explain this step-by-step to make it easier.

 

- Open the Creation Kit, and load DD Expansion .esm file

- Once open, locate the ebonite panel gag, and open the _scriptInstance part of it.

- Open the armoraddon, and change the location of the panel gag to "devious\expansion\GagEboniteHarnessPanelOpen_art.nif"

- Save, onto a new .esp to rectify the problem.

 

Note: This is also possible in TES5Edit, but a tad harder due to having to rectify this problem each update, which is why I prefer to create a patch.

 

Anyway, if you wanna go the TES5Edit way:

 

- Open TES5Edit

- Right click and choose "Select none"
- Check "Devious Devices Expansion.esm"

- Once open, open ArmorAddons and locate "zadx_GagEboniteHarnessPanelAA" and open that.

- Under female world model, right click the path and select edit.

- A warning will pop up. Select "yes" to make the mofication.

- Change the pathway to "devious\expansion\GagEboniteHarnessPanelOpen_art.nif" then click Ok.

- Close the program, and allow it to overwrite the mod.

- Test in game.

Guys, does anyone have experience making conversions and is willing to toss a few hints my way?
Been trying to fix THIS:

...And normally I'd just wait for the new conversions to come out with the latest update... BUUUUUT, this and it's ebonite counterpart are the only ones that haven't gotten any attention yet. So I figure the only way for this little succubi to truly know the tightness of elbows touching behind her back without breaking immersion is to do it myself. Only this is the first ever time I've tried to really convert anything. PLEASE HELP! This looks terrible!!

First you need to make sure you have the bodyslide for the body you are using in Bodyslider and Outfit studio. If you don't have those presets then its going to be a lot tougher to do. 

 

Bodyslide comes with CBBE as standard then you will need to get the bodyslide for the body you use and install them via a mod manager.

I do already have the bodyslide data for the Wench Body, which is what's in use there in the pics. Like I said earlier, I'm great for the conversions for everything else in the DDX collection, but the one that should be for the elbowbinders DOESN'T EXIST. Playing with the mesh tools in Outfit studio. 

 

I have found there are a couple of ways I can get round this. If a piece of clothing doesn't have the bodyslide you use (some are blank) I have found I can select the body from the body drop list and then go into groups , select the group of clothing and do a batch conversion. This seems to force the conversion to fit your body. I always activate the small check box next to the batch conversion as well. 

 

Or you could go into Outfit studio load up the arm binders and remove the body mesh. Then import the body mesh you use and set it as reference. Then I get a bit fuzzy there as I get stuck at this point and had some mixed success. You use the mesh tools to increase, decrease the mesh so it fits the new body reference and smooth it as well. Then save when done. 

 

When I get stuck I look on youtube for visual how to's on this stuff. There are a couple of Fallout videos that also show how to use Bodyslider and Outfit studio.

When you use the LL download option, this seems to download from github now.

 

This is unreliable, and annoying, unless you are using git to pull the actual repos.

 

The zip download is non-restartable, and for me, persistently chokes out around 800MB in, which is about as annoying as it could be.

I had four goes before I gave up and just cloned the master repos (normally I only bother with dev).

 

 

Could it also be uploaded to somewhere that has a reliable, or restartable download? Like mega, or mediafire, or both?

 

Then people would be able to choose where they get it from, according to what works best for them.

This has grown into a large download, and sensible sourcing options would be a benefit for anyone that doesn't use git to fetch it.

I'm proposing putting an alternate download link in the place that people actually look for download links. In the place where they expect them to be. In the place that is specially made for them so people can find the download link.

Probably, most people that come to download DD don't even look in the forum at all. Why would they even suspect there was a mega link, or mediafire, or even Dropbox FFS ...  link buried in there somewhere? And how easy will that link be to find, after twenty more pages of posts, or another twenty?

 

I mean, it's one thing for there not to be a link because it's some bother for Kimy to get an account, and upload to it. If she doesn't want to, so be it...  But to imply there's no need for one because somewhere in the last 20 pages there might be a post with a link? Sorry. My mind is blown. Can't type.

 

But seeing as actually there is an alternate download link ... I'm just suggesting you put it ... in the place for links. Is that so crazy?

Just want to say the devices look really good, like i couldn't see any shoulder clipping with 5 hobble dresses i tried even. Don't remember what other issues i could've seen before with CBBE... Here's 1 minor one with elbowbinder. Long rubber gloves top part clip same way from both DD and Cursed Loot (rubber doll).

edit: Oh, why does cum show on elbowbinder? I shouldn't have any mod giving additional ones ?

 

Not sure if DD 4.2 fixed gags, but even before i used to fix that by pushing the jaw a little with racemenu. Not even tape gag shows mouth through it.

Not 100% sure if it should be here or rather in a quest mod, but since i could imagine a couple of mods using it as a devious device i'd like to suggest one or two outfits from 

He creates awesome stuff, often multiple versions with panties moved aside or breasts covered->open. First post are only conversions, scroll down to the second post to see his own creations (i think). They all have UUNP/CBBE bodyslide support. Especially [Melodic] Dark sin XXtra would fit here quite well since it contains corset versions one with breasts covered, one breasts free and the lower parts might serve as a catsuit and have a version with a small, but visible opening at the intresting parts. I've already asked and permission is given to add it here, or maybe cursed loot.

hi, i have a proplem with this expansion. i have just blank places, for most (or eventuly all) sets in this expansion. At closer look, i found, these sets also dont apear in BlodySlide.
I reinstalled the mod with NMM with the same outcome. so i looked in the zipfile and datafolder ant it seems, that this sets weren´t copied as they should. Can i just copy them in the shown folders and run bodyslide afterwards or do i have to do other things as well?

Is there a preferred body for this mod. The one i'm using is the DIMONIZED UNP female body and it has a LOT of clipping issues.

You use bodyslide to generate a body (CBBE or UNP) as well as the devices, and you can do both in one batch build.

Trying to download the file "DDx-4.2", but the download repeatedly stalled for me, despite no internet connectiion issue. When it finally finished downloading so i could try installing it, my mod organizer keeps saying that the file is corrupted, or broken, or both. Could you check the file to see if the problem is on your end? cuz i am stumped over here...
