It might be NMM that is bugging out. It can create incomplete mod installations, due to bugs in it's code. There is a reason - and several more - why NMM was abandoned and left to retire. Problem is somewhat complex. Like Skyrim issues: certain conditions can lead to problems, which some other player might not see.

Usually this problem appears with mods downloaded through NMM, but there are confirmed cases, where just installing mod manually with NMM have caused the problem.

If that is the case, then manual installation of files is an option (though bad one). Moving to up to date mod manager (MO2 or Vortex - Wrye Bash team still has their heads stuck deep in Oblivion) is the recommended move, if NMM keeps causing problems.

The info.xml for Devious Devices - Expansion indeed says that version is 4.0.0. That is not an issue in your end. Uploader just forgot to update the information.

Was the size of the soulgem piercings changed? I remember them much bigger. It's hard to see them on a nude person, the breast piercing especially.

Well I saw a image just now, and I thought it could be a new type of armbinder and hood for DDx and DCL,

It is a type of armbinder with a metal shell on the hands, as well as selectable straps. I think it could appear in DDx and replace some devices in DCL, such as high security and obsidian

BTW, I think it is ok to remove the straps of armbinder, and replace it by a belt choke on the top of the sleeve.

I've tried just about everything i can think off related to the arms out of armbinder issue after cell change (pictures show the problem) but i can't find a solution.

i have done:

- multiple tries at reinstalling all my devious devices and sexlab related mods

- fiddeled around for ages in the MCM menu's

- tried a suggested FNIS AA reduction

- tried using mator smash instead off wrye bash (didn't work for me due to lack off esp reduction so returned to using wrye)

- sacrificed my bunny on to the computer gods

all to no avail.

to clarify: only npc's have this problem, my char does not. It seems as if the animations don't get reloaded on them when i switch cells.

please help

@timking Looks like follower issue to me, correct? It's likely not your fault, armbinders and few other restraints aswell are known to bug out on followers. I don't remember arms coming loose for player though, except maybe when swimming.

Not entirely. It is an issue i have with just about all npc's, for some reason followers sometimes work for a long time then their animation also breaks. A good example is the bound girls of dcl and npc affected by ftm3. the animations work when i spot them for the first time then are broken when i revisit these cells.
my character is for some reason not affected by this issue at all.

HI. I don't know how to really solve this forever but if it happens to me I do this :

Open console and select the follower and use the command "sexchange" (without quotes). Use it a second time to change back. After that the animation is right again. At least in my game....You never know its skyrim after all ?.

I'm not 100% sure (more like 30% sure?), but my guess is that this might be an issue of FNIS AA mods fighting over control.

As I recall, DD got "stricter" about applying its AA (Alternate Animations) on NPCs in recent versions, but I think there are still ways for other mods to break this and apply their own AAs, effectively disabling DD's AAs (like for the armbinder or the hobble dress).

You might experiment by switching off some of the mods that apply AAs to NPCs:

- FNIS Sexy Moves would be the obvious candidate and it's also the only one from the above load order that I'm familiar with

- Dual Sheath Redux and XPMSE.esp also might be looked into, but I don't use either of these mods so I don't know if they, in fact, use AA on NPCs but looking at their features makes them look like possible candidates, too

Any issue like that that occurs only with followers (and not other NPCs) would be most likely unrelated to this.

I thought i already disabled sexy move... yup i did but esp wasn't deinstalled properly is now though.

xpmse is my body skeleton (needed for bunch of things)
so only DSR might be of interest.

I'll see if it works without DSR.

Shame though cause i like it ….. o well choices, choices.

The skeleton and the xpmse.esp are two different things. You can use the skeleton without the .esp (I do it all the time to free up some resources for other mods), the .esp is only needed if you want to use the features that come with it (weapon scaling, placement etc.). And some of those features *might* also use FNIS AA but I'm only guessing here.

I keep having an issue when I try to install the 4.2 version of this. I try to install using MO and I get an error which aborts the install. I unzip it with 7zip and get 2 errors: unexpected end of data and Data Error: DDx-4.2\00 Core\CalienteTools\Bodyslide\ShapeData\DDX_Heretical\HR_ChainHarnessCuffs\HR_ChainHarnessCuffs.osd
Any idea as to the cause? I tried redownloading 3 times, and each time was exactly the same. Idk if I missed something or what, but a quick search of the support thread on here didn't turn up anything.

Hello, I need what the file size of the download should be. First download was 155,019 Kb. Second try was 145,727 Kb. With no reported errors on either download. So, what size file should I be looking for to know I got it all?

neither of those. Pretty sure you have a weak connection. At least weaker as github (the filehoster) allows for.
