Wheeee~ I like to reference the necrophiliacs, bullies and rapists of the animal world when things like this come up. Ducks, penguins, dolphins, orcas, etc. Dolphins break seals' backs as a fun group activity, they don't even eat em they're just smart enough to single out and gang up on weaker animals. They also kill and rape babies and their moms! Humans too if they let 'em. I think I read once that they also use eels to masturbate. The only good animal out there is probably spiders, they're fucking awesome and they get the worst unnecessary reputation. Edit; Unrelated but I don't wanna doublepost(again). Things that piss me off: 1 - Unshaven genitals. Bitch don't you DARE get uppity about me not going down there with my face. At least trim that shit, it's unsightly. Seriously it's [current year] shaving is sooooooooooo easy. 2 - Penis owners(men or trans girls, duh) who don't warn you when they're about to finish and get it on your clothes*. I get that you're passionate and it's flattering that you're enjoying yourself but fucking SAY something. *- Didn't mention hair because if it got in my hair they wouldn't have to worry about doing it again. They'd be dead, or missing their reproductive organs.

megamantaray Posted December 9, 2019 Posted December 9, 2019 Okay, my bad. I do have an actual on-topic post anyway. I hate when a show is perfectly funny and slapsticky and lewd in a good way(meme characters being perverts is fine) and you're expecting all of it to be super funny but then randomly there's a horribly graphic and awkward molestation scene and it totally shifts the entire show's mood for no fucking reason. Fuck you, I was having fun. There's better ways to write villains and strong-willed main characters y'know. No one should take notes from the JoJo book of writing it's fucking awful. Fuck off with that shit. :L
2dk2c.2 Posted December 9, 2019 Posted December 9, 2019 How to phrase this in a topic-friendly, non-bannable, greenie-award-winning one liner: &^%$ "rene", where is "Juice Wrld"? My new soundbar loves him. His page woke up the neighbors tho.
Grey Cloud Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 Never coming across a single academic scholar with the wit to wonder why the chariot of Achilles has three horses.
megamantaray Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 This is a very specific rant thing but I really hate people who don't understand what "Special Attack" means in FGO. If it says "Special Attack [Archer]" it doesn't mean you put it on your Archer to do more damage. It means you put it on ANYTHING ELSE and it'll do more damage TO Archers. Yeah you got a Gilgamesh with Enuma Elish at level 3 but you don't know what your CE does, stupid. I mean the description isn't great but seriously you're whaling away getting 5 Star Servants but you don't know what the card does? Pretty sure no one plays FGO in this forum anyway but whatever.

Reveal hidden contents He had a third horse at some point, I remember its name because it means "pieces" in Spanish. Pedasos got sniped by a spear because it was a dumb story like most Greek myth and the other two horses were immortal so they couldn't be killed. One of them was given the ability to speak though and he turned out to be a snitch so a goddess(not sure maybe it was something else) made him retarded. Snitches get... lame. I'm a comedic genius.
AKM Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 Got back into a MMO game recently after a few years off. Noticed something about myself. There's a main story line of missions, and I'd been so busy helping various random individuals do their line of story missions that, until very recently, I hadn't even started my own line. So I started watching WHO I was helping, and found that there are plenty of people out there who will take whatever help is offered, and not think twice about finishing their mission and then signing off, with zero thought to assisting the individual who just assisted them. Sigh. Don't know why it is that I'm at all that surprised that the 'Me Me Me' culture translates directly to online.
2dk2c.2 Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 Do moderators hover, omniscient as hell, or is there an invisible snitch? Or is it all done by AI ("report to bridge: keyword 'retarded' sighted") Aeon was a race, not a name? And the name was "Sophia"? and Sophia screwed up the (illustrated) universe? "Fate/Grand Order" reeeeally wants you to know, they released a new game on 12/2 (of this year, I think) So, dear self, in whom I can confide....why are they here? Omniscient ones quietly meditating, Plato-readers, people who know the secret inner workings of game companies, mythology, and spanish even... My Self, they could be off saving the planet. Interesting as hell, though.... Say wasn't this on "Star trek TNG", everyone gets sucked into playing a game and nothing gets done ever? (Why am I here being pissed.....uh,.......um.......o geez)

I spent a very long time in MH4U doing the exact same thing, I would sit in a lobby helping randos get their G Rank license and waiting for help on my own but as soon as we finished whatever quest they wanted to do they'd vanish. They'd actually start fights among them for who me and my friend would help out. Eventually my friend abandoned me because he finished his Urgent and I ended up soloing the quest. Ukanlos does NOT fuck around. I learned then to do the same they do and push myself ahead unless other people show any interest in returning help when I give it and after a while found a consistent group of buds to do Events with. Spent well over 1000 hours in that game despite being stuck in Rank 7 for a while and I've spent a good 800 in MHXX(on 3ds fuck getting a Wii U for a 3ds port). 4 minutes ago, 2dk2c.2 said: Do moderators hover, omniscient as hell, or is there an invisible snitch? (Why am I here being pissed.....uh,.......um.......o geez) I think they come around with good timing, or just lurk like I do. I refresh the page fairly often while I do other things, might also be bots lurking~ Sophia was the lowest Aeon, I'm not that well versed in that lore besides knowing those specific things. You're right on the name and "race" though. It's not a new game, as far as I know the only thing they released is Salem which is a new story chapter leading into Arc 2 of the plot which a lot of people are excited about. You reminded me of Celldweller's Blackstar album. I highly doubt you(anyone really) would be into edgy technometal but a few of the songs in there are about the "Self" and it's basically like a weird surreal movie playing out as the songs go on. A man makes a wish on a black star but they're a very unlucky person and that wish brings ruin, they're also turned into a robot and have to deal with the concept of the "Self" then decided to rebel and fight three space sisters who watch over reality and sometimes decide to fuck with it by giving someone a cursed wish upon their star. I think he tries tp save one of them because she's not a monster and then she turns out to betray him and then the ending is very fuzzy. I gotta listen to that again. Yeah there's a TNG episode where I think Picard gets addicted to a game that turns out to be dangerous in some way.

Humans are one of the only species (For all anyone knows, dolphins have a contingency plan for a Doomsday scenario) that even has the potential to do anything to prevent a meteorite strike nor do they do anything to cause them. The only fault that humans have regarding space-born catastrophes is that they are aware that they have happened before and agonize over them happening again. If humans had never came along, the eventuality that Earth would end up like every other planet in the Sol system thanks to an inevitable disaster would be guaranteed rather than merely highly probable and the further that space travel technology as well as defensive measures against chunks of space rock continue to evolve, that certainty recedes in probability.

Other animals perpetual blunders are overlooked because nothing is expected from them at all. There is also the fact that more intelligent members of their species do not create safety measures to prevent the more oblivious members from being removed from the gene pool thanks to their own incompetence or due to their being outwitted and outfought by members of other species (including humans) that may influence this common misconception.

It is the thing which the academics invariably mention though they misinterpret what is being said. The story of Adam and Eve, the fruit of the the tree of the knowledge of good and evil is in a similar vein. The academics miss the point of that story too.
Grey Cloud Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 Academic scholars who never ask why Plato's story of Atlantis appears in his Timaeus which is probably his most difficult metaphysical work.
