If you don't like every aspect a foreign culture has called its own, fine. But unless people behave towars others in a hostile way, what on earth gives you the right to judge? Have your fucking opinion in your own fucking mind. Your moral habitus is of no importance to the function of the world or humanity. Accept that you are as unimportant as that might-be racist, sexist or rapist next door. Unless he or she acts and you fail to prevent a crime, keep your thoughts to yourself and maybe your friends and family. Stay vigilant should you be needed. But don't even dare blaming others just because you feel to be morally superior, you arrogant prick. Thought, emotion, desire - they are all free. Judge people by what they do, not what they claim to be, or what you expect them to be. And accept that you are not accepted if you fail to live by someones expectations.
Reginald_001 Posted July 15, 2019 Posted July 15, 2019 LIFE is like keeping balls up in the air as a juggler.. one is your social life.. the other one is work.. one might be this relationship.. or another.. I used to have lots of these things up in the air.. like 10-20.. So 10 years ago I was getting completely fed up with 'being lived' by people.. always rushing from one agreement to the other, always feeling like a slave to all of my responsibilities. So I purposefully started to get rid of things that were bothering me, or were too heavy to keep throwing up, only to come back down again... I said goodbye to (some) friends.. actually lost my marriage (which was unhealthy and making me sick) and I got a different job. I slowly morphed my entire fucking life to something where instead of 10.. I now have these 3 things to juggle. Sounds easier right? 10 balls to juggle instead of 3? What pisses me off, is that I was WRONG. This is why: - The less 'things' you juggle life... the more important the single individual things become. So everything stays at the exact same weight, because once you get rid of one thing.. you intensify the other things left. You also run a FAR GREATER risk of your 'life falling apart'.. because you literally only have 'one egg in the basket' so to say.. If you have fewer things in life.. if one of those things blows up in your face.. suddenly a third of your life is fucked.. Differently put.. If you have 1 friend and you lose that friend then 'You've lost all your friends'. I am juggling only a few things these days.. and this morning everything fell apart quicker than you die of cyanide poisoning, leaving me a feeling that 'my entire life is fucked up' (only got those few eggs in the basket.. sigh). The whole fucking meaning of life is taking responsibility. This is especially true in social life. Friends.. family.. those relationships become meaningful when there is an aspect of responsibility in play. Only through taking responsibility can you find meaning (and happiness) and the bigger the responsibility is.. the more meaning you receive from life, that's why it feels so good to have children (a pleasure and responsibility denied to me all my life).. that's why it feels so damned good to have success in your career, that's why it feels so damned good to take care of your family and friends.. and to know that they are there for you as well. That's why lonely people get a dog or cat to take care of... So.. as most of the people in this thread (that don't realize it) I am above all and mostly.. angry and pissed off at myself.. for yet again taking a 10 year fucking detour to detract me from what's important in life..

Steam has already vouched that, should they go out of business, there is a plan in place to let everyone play their Steam games post OOB. After all, 99% of the game data is stored locally anyway. It is when someone invalidates your trauma, or even better, when someone tells you to "stop being depressed" or, "hey, it could be worse! at least you're not *cue the typical third world problem rant here*!" as if emotions/the symptoms of mental illness can be turned on or off like a damn light switch! Hell, I wish it was that easy! It's never okay to compare the misfortune of someone to the misfortune of others, because doing so only serves to make that already distressed person to become even more so. Do not invalidate the suffering of others. I shouldn't have to explain why, yet here I am having to do so to members of my own family whenever I go to visit them or vice versa, because they can't be too arsed to care nor to understand what it's like to endure what I have to go through every day. What may not seem to be a big deal to them, is the opposite case for me. What may seem easy to them, is a struggle for me. They know this and still they insist! It's beyond infuriating!

For example + 60¢ for every liter of gasoline. Such taxation does slightly nothing for better energy nor does it cut down CO2, just loot and drain all the peoples salary. Especially Germany as huge fossil fuel car producer is the first to adjust gasoline wastage up, if a sheik calls Merkel for more profits.

I am smoker and slowly tobacco prices are beginning to hurt. I will not have a choice soon and in the future buy my tobacco in Poland.

It all depends on where one is from. The inverse happened frequently in Texas in the 1990s. Teachers would even occasionally bring beefcake posters to school to rate the hunks before class in full view of the students. Male sexuality is demonized altogether in areas in California while people are more lax about such things in Florida. There is no societal rule against such in the USA, only individual community expectations.
