Rynnes Master Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Another dumb question, how do you use LOOT? Please be gentle with me, it's my first time modding Not a dumb question. Gopher has an excellent "how to" video on using LOOT (as well as using most other modding tools). Both Gopher and Gamerspoet have youtube channels. Spend some time there and you'll answer a bunch of questions for yourself that you probably haven't even thought of yet. LOOT by Gopher If you are new to modding, take some time to learn and maybe master Mod Organizer. It's a steep start-up curve but is much, much easier and more flexible a mod organization tool than alternatives. Mod Organizer has a built-in version of LOOT although I personally prefer a separate installation. Gopher and Gamerspoet both have good videos on how to install and use MO, Tes5Edit (which for a mod user is a necessity), and LOOT together. Hope this helps. The bondage equipment aren't even showing on my character. They appear in my inventory, but some don't have textures and all of them don't show on my character. Please help, I really want this mode to work If things aren't showing on your character and there are purple textures, it's a good bet that your installation is incomplete or improper. Presuming you have bondage equipment on your character but some or all don't show up, open the console and type player.showinventory <enter> Page up and Page down through the displayed inventory. Are bondage items shown as equipped that don't appear on your character? If none show in the displayed inventory then they aren't equipped at all. If they are listed in the inventory and don't show up you have an installation problem, probably bad or missing textures, or wrong .nif paths, or something similar. The Cursed Loot installation package does not contain errors, so I'd suspect you've got an installation structure problem which is why you need to understand the mod file structure and how mods are loaded, and in what order. Also what mod conflicts are and how to control the conflicts. The easiest way to learn those things is to watch the GamerPoet and Gopher videos. Easiest and most likely to succeed. Modding Skyrim is fun and entertaining; it's also educational and, candidly, a lot of work. But it isn't easy. One has to work at it. But, at least in my opinion, it's well worth the effort. Lastly, if you are truly new at modding, visit the S.T.E.P forums and read about the basics. S.T.E.P packages aren't my particular cup of tea (modding is uniquely personal, I think) but S.T.E.P. does offer a robust discussion of how things in Skyrim work and why. S.T.E.P. , Gopher, and GamerPoets are your friends. Ok so I looked at player.showinventory, and a few items say "Bad Editor ID" Does this mean it is a bad install or do I have to install the mods a certain way. You always have to install mods in a certain way, but I suspect that's not what you mean by your question. It's normal, as far as I can tell, to have entries in the inventory list that say "Bad Editor ID"; often you'll see such an entry that doesn't name the item but that doesn't mean that the item doesn't exist, only that the name is blank. Check the item reference number (always an 8 digit number); the first two digits refer to the load order number of the providing mod. That there is a "bad editor ID", as far as I know, does not itself indicate an issue with your mod installation. Check your load order to find what mod is in that order; that will be the mod that is the source of the item. For example 43000001 would be an item from the mod (plugin) in the 43 spot in your load order. "Installing mods in a certain way" is what I was referring to when I pointed you to S.T.E.P., Gopher, and GamerPoets. It's a complex process that doesn't neatly lend itself to a forum answer.
Slagblah Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Talk to an alchemist. For the scaling, I believe you need to change your outfit to force the "reset". Not sure though. The scaling issue is more likely Bodyslide related. The default shape for the parasite model is, shall we say, excessively busty. You need to run it through Bodyslide to get it to be consistent with your other clothing/body models.

Guest Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 suddenly i get the error "you appear to run mods removing important tags from children characters, cursed loot has been automatically disabled" i have no clue what mod is causing this how do i enable cursed loot? It is a measure to prevent children from getting used by this mod. DCL disables itself when it finds any mod that changes children in any way. So which mod of yours changes children? i dont have any mods with anything to do with kids, not even new textures or meshes.

But that was a while ago, are you using the latest version?

jaglord Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Sometimes the textures for rubber suits will glitch out like so (http://imgur.com/QxKJtEL), it doesn't appear that the texture is missing, just that it's messed up. Disabling my ENB didn't fix it, what do?

There are a few mods out there that make changes to the children and don't tell you. Others like "Killable Children" or "Kill everyone" mods are definitely not acceptable for use with sex mods because the way they work is by removing the "child" flags the mods use to exclude children from the sexual behavior.
Rynnes Master Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 @Dexon127 What devices from CL are missing on your character? Devices appear to be there and the transparent suit and gag appear normal to me (image is dark and a bit hard to see). The ankle restraints are pink/purple indicating missing textures. Something is wrong with your install to prevent the textures from loading; either the textures are being overwritten or simply aren't there. A reinstall of Cursed Loot might cure the issue. If you are using Mod Organizer, check to see if any part of it is being overwritten by looking at the flags column. You can also, in Mod Organizer, tick the "Data" tab, tick the "show only conflicts" check box, and open the "textures" entry. If there is a overwritten conflict the source or cause will be shown. Also, as was mentioned before, run LOOT to optimize your load order. If you have manually installed Cursed Loot then, ah well, I've mentioned that above. In my experience the most common cause of missing textures is a bad path, either because the texture files are incorrectly installed or because the path in the .nif is wrong. If you haven't altered the .nif files, check your install paths. Hope this helps. Good luck.
Dexon127 Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 @Rynnes Master I'll try a complete fresh install of everything, reading everything carefully as I install each part. Thank you for the help, I appreciate it greatly.
Matz Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Nobody have a solution for my problem ? It's really weird i'm stuck in the animation with all Deviously Cursed Loot devices... But not with devices from Devious Devices. For example I can struggle but after the message my character continue to struggle and never stop... I really like this mod :/
ZetsuboSeishin Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Can you not fight or open inventory when wearing the cursed collar?

Mister X Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Can you not fight or open inventory when wearing the cursed collar? The Cursed Collar is just a collar like a normal leather collar in function, the curse is no restriction in action but in removal ...

genericlogin Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 I've found that when a pregnant character is wearing the exhibitionist suit, her pregnant belly becomes flat. I'd gone through the "build" process in BodySlide, but apparently I'm missing something. Does anyone know what the trick is?
Rynnes Master Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 @Rynnes Master I'll try a complete fresh install of everything, reading everything carefully as I install each part. Thank you for the help, I appreciate it greatly. I forgot a step that, in my experience, is very important but often overlooked or unknown. As you are rebuilding your modded game, make sure you load and use WryeBash. I don't recommend using it as a mod installation/management tool, it's too outdated for my taste. But it most definitely is useful for creating a Bashed patch, and even more so in pointing out plugins whose masters are sorted in a manner different than in your build. When you run it after you sort your plugins with LOOT you'll see a listing of all plugins in load order format. On the far left of the screen you'll see a box before each plugin which will be colored; green for good, red for not good, a light red slash for a missing something, and a dark red slash for a missing master. If you highlight the plugin on the right side of the screen will be a listing of the masters to which the plugin refers; out of order masters are very common in a new mod build. If you find any plugin that has out of order masters, load the plugin in TES5Edit, highlight it and right click it; select "sort masters" and let TES5Edit sort them; it is nearly instantaneous. Close TES5Edit, save the plugin, and reopen Wryebash and check the result; the box at the left of the plugin name should now be green. If so, you're good, go to the next red plugin if there is one. Rinse and repeat until every plugin listed in Wryebash is green. You'll be surprised how more stable your game will be. You can also, and probably should, use WryeBash to create a bashed patch. Check Gopher and Gamerspoet for good videos on how to do that, and why. Luck to you.

Disabling my ENB didn't fix it, what do? Id suggest reinstalling DCL since prolly something got messed up with the textures on install. I had something similar happen and that fixed it for me. Make sure to keep the textures at the highest I dont know if the others work all the time.
