What mods are keeping you from upgrading to 1.50+

To help move things along and get people off of 1.39, I'd like to dive in and fix any mods I can that are still not fully compatible with 1.50+ that people still use and refuse to upgrade because of it.

So if there's a mod(s) causing you to not upgrade because a mod you really like isn't fully compatible with SexLab 1.50+, and the mod author has since abandoned the project leaving it forever broken on the newest SexLab releases, then now's your chance. Tell me about it here and I will do what I can to either fix the mod in the original authors absence, assist the still active author with any incompatibilities, or include compatibility fixes in future releases of SexLab Framework.

Let me know what's not working about it in 1.50+, is it completely broken and non functional? Does it mostly work but a few features are broken? It would save me a great amount of time if I don't have to comb through the mod with a fine tooth comb to find out what's wrong.

Alternatively; if your reason for not upgrading is simply because of the SKSE 1.7.0 alpha requirement. Get over it. It's as stable as the non-alpha release and if anything it's actually significantly more stable as it includes support for the Sheson memory patch built in. The word alpha is nothing more than a means for the SKSE team to cover their ass in the unlikely event that something unforeseen happens and to excuse any possible compatibility changes between alpha and the official 1.7.0 release.

SexLab CumShot says it's compatible with SexLab 1.51+, and no recent posts in the thread seems to be making any noteable complaints about it's compatibility.

SexLab Necro I can take a look if there is more demand for it, but DocClox is still active on the forums and I'd prefer not to step on his toes and overreach. But moreover SexLab 1.58 already includes better support for necro mods since they'll no longer need to resurrect the actor beforehand, so I'd think it best to just wait for that update before making any fixes. SexLab Defeat also includes capable necro support if there is a strong need for it now.

I Have a problem with ragdoll option, I really like it because i don't like actors to just apear on standing position without transition, before on agresive sex only the victim ragdolled, now both actors ragdoll, even creatures, and sometimes that end on my character being thrown far away and diying from fall dmg , I hope on future Sex lab updates theres an option to select wich actor will ragdoll, even deciding wich sex only male, or female, ect.

The other usual problem is agression between npcs on sex combat mods like defeat, for example a big fight between npcs imperial vs stormcloack  some girl is being raped then the other npcs just kill either the agressor or the victim and they end on plank state.

Off the top of my head, Spouses Enhanced is one of the big things holding quite a few people back, if I remember right.

And then there's the fact that 1.50++ requires SKSE 1.70. Some people are reluctant to upgrade to 1.70 because it's tagged as being Alpha, despite the fact that it's really quite fine already without any of the problems associated with an Alpha build.

SKSE  and  FNIS ( to a lessor extent )  Every other mod I have works flawlessly until I install anything that uses these two programs.

Some people have reported issues with Lover's Comfort since 1.50.  Mainly the animations not aligning properly on beds, with the actors stuck in or under the bed.  Germanicus mentioned having many CTDs when using it after the 1.50 update for the framework.

That doesn't make any sense at all considering BOTH of those are requirements to using the Sexlab Framework in the first place. Did something get lost in translation because I see English doesn't appear to be your native tongue.

1.60 is a long long ways off, 1.58 is on the horizon and mainly just an animation, bug fix, performance patch.

I think some of the pregnancy mods aren't compatible with 1.5x. Not quite sure though.

These are probably incompatible as well:

Lover's Victim does not trigger NPC/Follower animations and based on the support thread that the function stopped working when SL moved from 1.39 to 1.50+.

I had an opposite issue with Victim, follower gets it regardless if they are clothed or not, regardless if I have NPC set to on or not! Haven't been using it for a while now

It would be nice to have "Tutorials" section on forums. It would help lots of ppl with solving easy problems instead of posting multiple topics about what went wrong during instalation.

But who would in their right mind make a tutorials section...

Though that tends that section tends to be modder focused, that's only the result of the guides posted there, not for any content rules. There are plenty of such tutorials on exactly what you mention however. The problem is that almost nobody seems to read the sticky topics that they are located in. Hence the new additional sticky post in the Technical Support section, http://www.loverslab.com/topic/32980-important-post-your-debug-logs/ No amount of captialized letters screaming "READ ME" seems to make people read and comprehend them.

Have this as well, the NPC/NPC event starts and one attacks another but then they just stop and return to there sandbox AI rather than play some sex

Edit: I've had loversvictim NPC/NPC turned off as it wasn't working but i've just turning it back on and tried with sexlab 1.58 beta and the same as before happens.

First i had Ysolda attack a slave girl added in by slave run and chase her for a while before returning to sand box and then a mercenary NPC added in by populated cities and towns attack Hulda in the bannered mare and again chase her into a room and then stand there facing each other for a while and then return to sandbox ai

Attached is the log

There is the one thing that was mentioned in when the mem-patch first came out....  That actually kinda bugs me was included in SKSE 1.7. instead of just directing people to SSME or something.

That the default settings for the mem patch stuff will not work for everyone, or that you need to add blah blah number to the other numbers for it to be the right number.

If people don't read that, or simply don't know about it, they can end up screwed.

Most assume that it's a simple drop in and go thing like the older versions, when it really isn't.

If you have the wrong settings you can crash easily...  if the default settings are wrong for you, then well...  hope you like the background on your desktop.

To be honest I'm still using 1.39b for most of my chars.

Main reason

There are still bugs in core-mods (Defeat, pregnancy - Beeing Female was never bug-free, so I'd even used Procreation with 1.39b).

Role-play, fear and laziness reason

I didn't check if the small gems are still working, there hasn't been an update since the 1.5+ release (jbezorg's SL RND and Theft&Seduction; SL Trainers). This is my fault, they might even work.

Both Hentai Creatures and SexLab Hentai Pregnancy are using out-of-date sslBaseVoice api calls. They continue to still be functional - they just don't produce any sounds.

Essentially this code is being used by both mods (with varying arguments):

	    sslBaseVoice voice = SexLab.PickVoice(ActorRef)
	    int vfxInstance = voice.Moan(ActorRef, 1.0, isvictim)
	    Sound.SetInstanceVolume(vfxInstance, SexLab.Config.fVoiceVolume)

The current Moan method in SL 1.57 looks like:

function Moan(Actor ActorRef, int Strength = 30, bool IsVictim = false)
	if Config.UseLipSync && Game.GetCameraState() != 3
		ActorRef.Say(Config.LipSync)
	endIf
	GetSound(Strength, IsVictim).PlayAndWait(ActorRef)
endFunction

Volume/level is now an integer , not a Float. So you will see errors in papyrus log about incorrect parameter type. Also sslBaseVoice.Moan doesn't return a value anymore, so its not really appropriate, or even necessary, to call Sound.SetInstanceVolume afterwards.

I patched Hentai Creatures and it is currently available as part of More Nasty Critters mod here on LL.

I am planning on patching HSP as well. Not sure how to release.

Seriously Im constantly using forums and never knew THAT topic exists. The reason is mostly that i use Skyrim subgroup since im interested in Skyrim related things and mods. I always thought LoversLab/General would be general topics about the site and not about game mods. Perhaps thats why others don't read it as well.

I still have sexlab version 1.15b but then I don't have much that requires the framework 2 are older ones that don't need it and the things that I have that use it I'm happy where they are at since I don't play skyrim as much anymore since I have gone back to oblivion and starting to do things with that game.

That's the first time for me even seeing that section of loverslab! Make you should pin tutorials for each section of it's own game.
