After dozens of hours of gameplay, I'm having a severe issue with the 3.94 version: Most of the hostiles, being NPCs or creatures, become friendly at a certain distance from the player character. I checked my mods one by one and the culprit is unmistakably this mod.

 

I can think of one possible cause, a broken tentacle animation sequence that didn't end correctly - try using the console to check that the spectator quest  stopped running at the end of the last EC scene (stopquest <ECSpectators ID>)

hi...

 

sorry for bothering you but i have a problem...  after playing several hour with this fantastic mod installed without any problem, suddenly it doesn't seem to be working any more :(

anytime a tentacle attack should trigger (such as from DD cursed loot for example) i have the message warning that it's going to happen (the hearth is trembling under your feeth or whatever...) i have the dust cluod... but the animation doesn't actually start... if there are people atound they gather and cheer as if it was playing but it isn't... :(

 

i may be wrong but it might depend on the fact that in MCM in the animations tab, no animation seems to be registered... they are all unchecked and cannot be checked nor registered... if i try to register them i get the message to close the menu and when i do i see the mod registering (or pretending to register) the animations... but nothing changes, the MCM stays this way (see attached file)

 

is this the problem ? if so... how do i solve it ?  if not... what's the actual problem ?

After you close the menu try saving and reloading and then check if the animations show up in SL Toggle Animations.

 

The other thing, are you using NSAP in case that's used up all your animation slots.

already tried saving and reloading...  even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the mod...

but i'm actually using NSAP so you may be right about having used up all animations slot (didn't know there was a limit) 

disabling a few of them might fix the problem ?  i'll try tomorrow ;)

OK, you were right... :) 

after disabling some 9 or 10 animation from NSAP, th tentacle attack is back

so thanks a lot for helping :)

Has the slow/tired spell effect been removed from the dwemer machine as I noticed my pc was moving at normal speed (stamina and magic were at zero though).

 

Thought I'd ask in case I've glitched my save when changing versions

Would it be possible to make the charus spit stun the player or companions instead of doing tenticals its just with higher lvl companions they tend to kill everything really quickly.

Having a small issue with EC+. I installed EC+ primarily for use with Deviously Enchanted Chests and Cursed Loot; not fond of pregnancies so I turned that feature off. However, everytime I get assaulted by a Chaurus after being defeated, my character is friendly to all Chaurus.

 

I found I could manually fix this by removing my pc from the ZZEstrusChaurusExclusionFaction (if I recall correctly. There were 2 EC factions - exclusion and breeder - I had to remove my character from one of the factions) However, I have to repeatthis after any mating with a chaurus. Is there any way around this?

 

Edit: I think it was the ZZEstrusChaurusBreederFaction I had to remove myself from

I haven't made any changes so it should all still be working as normal.

I'm not sure what to fix - if lots of other folks were reporting the same problem then I would assume it is a bug but as they are not it 's more likely there is some kind of issue with your save/configuration.

I'm not sure what to fix - if lots of other folks were reporting the same problem then I would assume it is a bug but as they are not it 's more likely there is some kind of issue with your save/configuration.

Sorry, I realise its a bit of an inconvenience - don't really expect anyone to do this for another anonymous forum dweller)

There do not appear to be any Strip options for EC4.0a. EC is automatically fully stripping all characters. I checked the source and I can only find the instance where followers are stripped.

 

Could you make it so that strip options are MCM configurable, or at the very least point me to where the player character is stripped? Thanks!

Switched off pregnancy, spawned a chaurus which attacked and I got hit with a tentacle attack. At the end the chaurus remained friendly.

 

One thing I did notice, although impregnation was switched off the graphical spell effect still showed in the animation, however when checking the effects menu there was no entries for impregnation or chaurus breeder.

 

Tested using v3.94 on an existing game so no EC+ changes (I don't like the pink bubblegum in V4.00a and until I figure out how to use GIMP to change the texture colour I'll stick with the older version). I haven't tried on a new game however.

 

EDIT: Tried with a new game and got the same result, the chaurus remained friendly afterwards

Thanks so much for testing that out for me, and even on a new game. I really appreciate it.

 

I have the same results you do. Pregnancy off, but impregnation animation (that orange glow) plays, no breeder effect applied, but breederfaction is added to the player. I knew it wasnt due to a corrupt save game, and the only mods I have in my load order that I know apply (temporary) faction changes are defeat and deviously helpless, so am not surprised to hear you had the same results.

am i missing somthing cause i just installed 4.0 and got its required mods and the mod isnt activating. i tried to console command the quest to start which use to work when i had it installed before (the save game im on now never had this mod installed) and i only installed this again cause i saw that it was updated recently

 

EDIT:

moving it down towards the bottom of my load order fixed it works fine now :3

I've got some annual leave coming up the week after next so I'll see if I can get to grips with Gimp and figure out a way to change the ooze and slime textures from bubblegum pink to a dark snot green.

 

I'll post it as a texture file if it turns out any good, it'll probably be a mess though as I've never tried this before

 

EDIT: It looks pretty straightforward Gimp even updates the mipmaps. I haven't tested it properly yet with the mesh and animations but it looks pretty foul on screen so far and definitely more like slime :P

 

The original texture is an image of a mucous membrane (probably oral by the looks of it).

Question about cleansaving, in your opinion: when we have mods that integrate with EC+, like deviously enchanted chests (DEC), should we also cleansave and reinstall DEC while updating EC+? Or just leave DEC installed while cleansaving EC+?

For most people this woyld cause a duplicate anim warning - this shouldn't cause any issues afaik but in case it bothers anyone I have just re-uploaded with the correct file version  (just install over the top).

 

In your particular case though  it reports you are missing Anim files which I would not expect - what version of EstrusforSkyriim have you used to provide your estrus files? I use V120 for development which has the ETC07 animatiions included.

Does 4.10 require a clean save or new game? Also If I tick all the boxes in NSAP why can't I get the animations to be enabled? (Just wanting some clarification before taking the plunge and most probably because I can't be bothered to read the first page or actually go looking for the answers elsewhere) - (IGMC :shy: ).

I would do both - just to be sure.  Once cleaned - reinstall EC+ first - then once that's done add DEC back in.

It may be the estrus for skyrim that's giving me trouble, since I tried to revert to an older version of EC+, and still get the error. I think my V120 download was corrupted when I downloaded it.

Handling pregnancy disable.

 

Is that means that it can be used with Being female now?

The last version stopped a pregnancy with beeing female and took ages to find out that there is a conflict between the two.

I haven't tested BF specifically but if pregnancy is disabled then there will not be a problem unless BF itself is looking for EC attacks (as opposed to EC pregnancy). I can't promise, but my expectation is that it should be fine.
