- Love interest chosen must not be something gross like a hagraven, or a character super hard to deal with, or some fringe character that dies immediately, or an Animal, or a dude or a child, or that vampire kid in the DB or Hroki.  Pick, like, a potential adult female follower or a marriage candidate or some NPC of note.
 
- FoxFingers reserves the right to force another pick if the winner chooses something absurd.
 
- FoxFingers takes a long time to finish Quests so no assumption should be made that the Quest will get done quickly. 
 
- TWO entries per person.  Yes you can submit two different screenshots for consideration.

That's a cool way to get marketing done for your mod, but there's no way in fuck a 4K screenshot will work with the nexus uploader, unless you plan on making a pixel art version of AA.

No, there's no marketing involved.  Just a way to let people who've enjoyed the mod these last few years have a say in who the Quest is for.

 

Honestly, I'm not sure how it markets anything.  I mean - people have already uploaded some screenshots over time to the Nexus page and posted them here.  It's not like that's there to make the mod interesting.

 

But whatever.

If I could make a suggestion, you could put a link/announcement of the contest on the actual mod page for visibility and to trigger LL to send out a Notification to those following the file.  I only saw it because I spotted the AA thread popping up to the top and checked the latest post.

Yeah, I'll prolly do that when I upload version 3.2, featuring the Orc quest "New, New Malacath Blues".

 

Then give people two to three weeks to throw in an entry if they want to choose the next quest.

I'm not all that good with posed pictures but I'd like to toss in a suggestion, unless this is a "hard voice type"...

 

Sorine Jurard of the Dawnguard.  Has a bunch of chained quests that could be used to develop the romance with interludes at the castle either going over the plans (or trying out things with failures ala Brelyna of the Mages College). She isn't a potential follower or spouse though, but with a safe and consistant location the player can "own" she's like a spouse. Unlike Serana, only available to one side of that quest chain. (Though for some reason I'm thinking there was another either/or romance but it might have been a situation not in this mod).

Minimum character level is 9 for this.

I gotta tell you, all mad props to Bijin for his beautifier mods.  But Bijin Borgaka looks like the freakin' Predator without a space helmet on.  Wow.  It was a tough slog wooing her with that "Beautifier".  Just me, personally.

Because Some People Mistake A "Bug" From Bethesda That Accidentally Gave Her The Child Class, As Her Actually Being A Child, This BUG Was Fixed By USKP/USLEEP, However There A Still Some Die Hard Believers That Refuse To Think She's Not A Child And I'm Guessing FoxFingers Just Doesn't Want To Deal With The Head-Ache These People Will Inevitably Cause

Yeah, I was definitely wishing Borgakh looked more like Uglar - but I wasn't going to mess with it.  This new quest doesn't do anything with Uglar besides trying to make sure she doesn't get aced by Giants at the outset.  I'll add a little something for Uglar later.

I just checked back in for the first time in a long time, upgrading from 2.11 to 3.2 and I have a couple of quick questions. Apologies if they've been answered already, but I scrolled back through the last 5 or so pages and couldn't see anything right away:

 

1) What's the conversation option that is the quest starter for New Malacath Blues? The new dialogue option I see on Adrienne is something like "you look as lovely as your steel is sharp" but all she responds with is "don't talk such rot." and it returns me to the base conversation list. I'd test to see if any other quests are borking for me too, but the playthrough I'm using them on right now has done all the quests that were active in 2.11 except the Companions ones (because I'd just started the Companions questline the other day) so I have no new lovers to unlock except for Aela, Njada, and the two newest AmAdv quests. If it matters (though it never has before in similar situations) I have completed A Cursed Tribe already.

 

2) Maybe this is something that was changed in one of the more recent version releases, but the characters I have as lovers no longer speak most of their custom lines. For example, Adrienne says "what do you need, my love" or something to that effect in subtitle, but there's no corresponding speech audio. And it's a line that I know was voiced in previous AmAdv releases. In fact, the only lines they seem to have audio for when selecting the Amorous Adventures dialogue options are really simple (and likely default) ones like "yes" and "of course". There's no mouth flaps either. It's just subtitles while the NPC stands there and looks at me.  I know some of the old custom audio was a little kludgy in how it stitched together out of different intoned sentences given the limitations of the dialogue pool that's present in the game, but it's almost more distracting having no dialogue audio at all for so many interactions.

 

3) I see that presumably for the v3 overhaul the lover interaction dialogue tree has been overhauled. I mean things like you now access the lover options with a choice of something like "how are you <NPC>?" instead of "my lover", and there's now options to do things like have the NPC pleasure themselves  or end the relationship.  That's cool to see, though now I have to be afraid of accidentally hitting the "end relationship" option if my mouse slips, lol. But it seems like in the process the option to choose what kind of sex you wanted your character to have with the chosen lover is gone. Now when you select "I need your touch, dear" it immediately activates the sex scene instead of going to a subsequent dialogue option where you chose from 3 options (simple "make love", asking for something "dirty" or a "talented tongue"). Can you no longer pre-select what kind of sex is initiated? Yeah, I know you can just hit O and cycle the active SexLab positions until you get what you want, but that's less immersive.

 

Keep in mind I'm not complaining. This mod is beyond amazing and I absolutely respect that it went for more of a "fun" and lighthearted romance feel instead of uncomfortable rape-y overtones or a too-porny "hey baby, let's have sex." , "*giggle* sure!" *drops dress shallowness. It's fun to feel like you "earn" these options by spending time with or doing things for/with the characters. I'm just not sure if these issues are something wrong with my installation, or me just not understanding how the mod has evolved or what. and I don't want to start tearing apart my mod structure and fiddling with things until I know whether or not there's need to.

PS: I'm not sure I have a great setup for the screenshot contest since I mostly use vanilla graphics with only minor appearance mods (CBBE as required for sexlab, a mod that gives Brelyna from the mages' college a less ridiculous hairstyle, and a "face softener" for the elven races that gets rid of the forehead ridges and weird eye bags/crows' feet), but if I had a choice for who deserves a love life, I want to make a jillion votes for Niranye, the altmer merchant/fence in Windhelm. She's clearly the best high elf and isn't snobby like the Radiant Raiment sisters or catty like the two from the Mages' college)
