What I'm really missing is asking for assistance to any NPC about a yoke or an armbinder. Especially from a follower.

Especially for yokes and other heavy restraints that might be difficult because the keywords changed and older mods will probably not work very well in removing them. Not sure if it really helps with removing, but you might be lucky with Devious Followers. Main feature is that followers lock you if you don't pay them somehow, but i think i've read they also can free you from devices from other mods and it's developed for DD4.

 

@DD team: Possibly due to my somehow buggy setup, but did you remove the sound for vibrating plugs? I can't hear that anymore.

Thanks for the reply, and I can attest that plugs do play sounds (even on NPCs!).

This is how I find the info to remove devices currently (this would work fine in v4 so long as the heavybondage keyword is used and not ones for the armbinder or yoke):

1 - Getworndevice(actor, keyword)    this gives me the inventory item <Part 1>

2 - Getrendereddevice(inventory item<Part 1>)   this gives me <Part 2>

3 - removedevice(actor, <Part 1>, <Part 2>, keyword)

 

This worked fine when you knew the keyword but with the changes you need to do more work if you want it to work with BOTH v3 and v4 but now you would have to adjust to this:

1 - Use getworndevice and search for heavy bondage, the older armbinder and yoke keywords and whichever comes back that isn't NONE is what you use as <Part 1>

 

It isn't elegant but it beats doing an inventory search for the items on the player looking for something with those keywords.

I'm not sure if this is a bug, but it does not seem right:

I tried to unlock a hood equipped by a DCL event, the key (standard restraints key) broke and the lock jammed, I used the repair lock option and it succeeded, I tried to unlock the hood again with another restraints key and it told me that I am too tired and have to wait two hours... too tired to use a key is a bit weird. Also I tried to unlock gloves and blindfold which also use restraints key and got the same error even though I have not tried to unlock or escape from them before - I only touched the hood.

Do you also have the latest update to DDx installed? Or are you only running DDi + DDa?

ok , I did update all the DDi DDx DDa and various other mods, at first I thought it was devius enslaved continued. But found out my CTD on saved games or staring a new game was DDi 4.0, I rolled back to 3.3b and now I can load old saves or even start a new game without a CTD.
the only warning I get was "devious Deviants.esp" was missing, but from prior post seams that esp is no longer needed.

The only thing makes me wonder is when DDi v4 is installed, I am wondering if another mod is looking for the devious deviant.esp ??
have you seen any comments of issues like that?

Hi! 

 

Not sure if this is the right place but! I'm having issues when trying to start the forbidden tome quest. I think im doing it right, I read the note all the way through then take the key and grab all the stuff from the bookshelf yet he wont notice me doing it. Any suggestions?

Not that I've seen, but it should be trivial to figure out. Either the mod manager, loot, wrye bash, or tes5edit should be able to tell you what mod (if any) is looking for it.

That quest was removed because they didn't have time to update it for this release.

I figured the same thing but TesVedit and even loot had no issues, but when I tried starting a new game it would CTD, if I tried loading an old save it would say Missing "Devious Deviant.esp" 
I been pretty good runnng 250 plugins and like 340 mods, I dabble a bit with helping  test mods and building mods, but the only thing I did not try was take the esp from 3.3b and throw it in with 4.0 just to see what would happen :tongue: , but I might look at it in a day or too if I still have off next week.

The reason for the "Missing "Devious Deviant.esp"" popup, is just because that plugin was active when that save was made.

Ah my bad i should of looked at that! my fault!! 

 

Quick question is it possible for my wife (lydia) to interact with my player on this mod? Apart from the basic bondage stuff you can make im struggling slightly to understand how half of the stuff works.

DD is a framework, it doesn't really do much on it's own. But there are a lot of mods using the framework, since the latest version is quite new and several things changed i'm not sure how many of them currently work properly, though.

Hello, I have a problem with the armbinders.

 

Everytime when a armbinder gets attached on me it will have no effect. The armbinder is shown but my arms are still in a normal position, but without hands. Also I have access to the inventory without struggling free.

 

I reinstall the game and the mods a few weeks ago (and updated the old mods like DDi, DDe...) and after I install the newest DD mods I run Loot, FNIS and Bodyslide. It worked perfect before I updated the DD mods.

 

I saw that some people had an similar problem, but I can't find a solution what would solve my problem.

I have some problems with the showing of some devices

 

Some of the device that shows in the inventory doesn't really show on the character (For example, the chasity belt or the full rubber clothes). I know it is something about the bodyfit studio but I honestly don't know how to run files from it. Can someone show me the way or give me a video or a post before that solves it? (I know there may be some posts explaining the problem but I don't know which one is it.)

 

Also, I have the same problem with the armbinder or pollar stuff like the last post. Does someone know the solution for that?

Thanks. That solves most of the problem.

 

Another thing, the animation of my character on yokes only works when she is standing still. When she is running, jumping the animation just went back to the normal animation. How can I solve that?

Amazing work like always, DDi and DDx are relatively new, I would suggest some people to wait a little longer before updating to 4.0 on both mods to avoid headaches and never ending crashes trying to start a new game, especially for those with a massive amount of mods, eventually the mods that support DDi and DDx will get updated as well because there''re many mods that rely on this framework.

Alright. I may be alone in this, and pardon if my tone is a little acid when it comes to this opinion, but...

 

Escape options need to come back. This obtuse difficulty slider instead of the customizable options from before is definitely a major downgrade, and I would happily throw the new escape system in the bin as it is right now. These arbitrary values compared with a series of 'I'm really too tired from jiggling that lockpick around until it broke, lemme sit for two hours' events is both immersion-breaking and ridiculous. And whoever decided that 'open a lock with a matching key' is an event that requires a failure chance and a two hour wait is mistaken.

 

If my character lacks the ability to open a lock with a matching key, then I weep for Skyrim, because I'm surprised my character can manage a door, let alone a dragon.

I'm having some similar problems. I used to be able to fine tune my escape chances... from the chance a key breaks to the chance the lock jams. The inability to adjust these and the lack of a safe-word to remove gear in the Integration menu can cause progression-stopping stuck moments. In the previous' version's MCM there was big, all-caps warning of "make sure you have another way of getting out of devices or this can ruin your file!"

 

On some files, I would have it so keys are easy to make but you must make tons because they will USUALLY (90%) break, and that would level my smithing for me in a more interesting way. On some files when I was just using it for vanity, I'd set key break to zero and crafting to disabled, then just carry one of each type.

 

While the menu descriptions such as 'handcuff girl' are kinky, they are completely opaque as to actually telling the player what is going on.

 

The ability to struggle out of armbinders and the way to fine-tune that is also... completely missing? I used to be able to tune that. Is that intentional?

 

Overall, I feel the usability of this mod has gone down drastically in the latest iteration. Yes, the new items are fancy and sexy, but I can't tell what I'm getting into. That would be nice, if Skyrim wasn't already massively buggy as a 10 year old game, with the tendency to NEED those emergency outs when the Papyrus Scripting Engine inevitably craps the bed once in a while.

 

Immersion is nice, but please don't sacrifice functionality for it when the core, un-modded game is buggy and needs those details to be available.
