This site would be a lot better if it wasn't for all the users who act like hanging around on a modding forum site makes them superior. Seriously, there are so many fucking users on this site like this, who go around, talking down on people. I can name at least 10 of them. The worst part is that moderators do nothing about these people. Also, I'm pretty sure the users I'm mentioning know the moderators won't do anything, because why would they be acting like condescending assholes if they knew something would be done about it? These arrogant users are the reason my friend Ashley left the modding community, because why should she have to put up with overly entitled losers when all she wants to do is have fun? Shit, I'm considering leaving for the same goddamn reason. I'm fucking sick of these people, and I'm even more sick of nothing being done about them.

 

If you want an example of what I'm talking about, here's one. Recently, I put a comment on a thread stating an opinion I had concerning screenshots. The opinion was that I feel like some people don't get enough upvotes for posting well done pics, even though there are screenshots of similar theme and quality who get a lot of upvotes. Here's the post I made.

This user just assumed that I was trying to dictate what should be considered good, and that I was "upset about not getting attention (even though I said to someone else on the same thread that I didn't care if my pics didn't get upvotes). They also challenged me to show two pics to prove what I was saying, but why would I do that for something that is my opinion? The funny part is when I called them out on the fact that they were giving me shit for my opinion, and being an arrogant dick making assumptions, I haven't heard anything since. But the funniest part is that this person does this shit all the fucking time, and nothing gets done. They're probably a favorite with the moderators.

 

I know that saying this won't do a fucking thing, but it was nice to get it off my chest.

Obviously this site would benefit from having down-voting. Its more polite way of showing lack of approval as well as contempt for someone else's "contribution" without actually saying anything that could be considered offensive and then lead to all kinds of drama.

One of the reason for me to use LL is because we are able to cretae realy good looking mod pages.

So even if the site is from time to time VERY slow and even if the search function is qiute useless... we are still able to create good looking mod pages.

But now we are lost one of the nice features (Videos, Gifs).

 

Could you maby define a maximum size for videao (10 MB or 5 MB)?

Even small videos will give you a nice impression on what the mod looks like.

The second point I think it would be worth it to make the mods versions the latest and at most the last old version, and remove all the rest.

More than once I saw that mods of 600MB+ were from version 1.00 to 1.89. I don't see the point in keeping such old versions.

You are absolutely right that there are some very rude persons on here. Not compared to the Nexus though.

 

But I can think of 3 off the bat that evokes these feelings in me. But 3 out of thousands are hardly many.

 

There will always be arrogant people who think they are better than others. Happens on work too. Ignore those bastards.

 

 

But I strongly disagree that those that get more endorsements are not better than those that get few.

 

I am very selective in my opinion of Skyrim pics. I have a IMHO a great Skyrim LE setup with a perfect ENB.

 

When I see people getting more endorsements I can say that they earned it. The ENB quality matters greatly in this.

 

Post edit effects to the pics helps even more.

 

If You compare pics taken with/without ENB then there is a massive difference.

 

 

Those that get more than 20 endorsements in the "Post Sex Screenshots" usually have some of the best ENB setups. Or just plain hot body meshes.

 

 

Popular Mod Authors do tend to get more endorsements. But that's because their work is Top Notch. The same applies at the Nexus.

These aren't even gamers just lazy people who download a package with 200 mods and 90% of these mods won't even use them or won't know what it or what it does from. Just like the collection in Vortex.

I have no evidence other than my own suspicion to say you did this but it did make more pause on adding your account to ignore.
Your comment on a friend leaving the site makes me think I might have been involved in that decision so, ignoring my suspicions completely, let's just add each other to our respective ignore lists and your experience using the site will, hopfully, improve.

First, last I checked, you’re not a moderator. So, don’t tell me what I should and shouldn’t do. How about you hop off your high horse and come back down to earth? Or are you too good for that because you waste time on a website?

Second, that entire conversation in that thread was nothing but you giving me shit for an opinion, which is something that happens here all the time on this site with other people. And, no. I’m not going to give other examples because, like I said, you’re not a moderator. In the end, it is a site problem, because it happens all the time because of people like you.

Third, to be honest, I don’t really give a fuck why you stopped answering to the conversation. But now here you are, pulling me back into this stupid bullshit because, again, I was stating my opinion. Shit, I tried to be polite by not giving any names, but you decided to let everyone know that I was talking about you. Well done.

Fouth, the ignore feature doesn’t do shit because I can still see that the people I ignore are commenting on things I post on. So, yeah. That’s all I have to say about that. Also, my friend never said your name, but seeing your bad attitude, I say it’s likely that you probably are one of the people she was talking about. My attitude isn’t perfect, but at least I try to know when to back off.

Please don't make me come back here for this. This Thread is too important to be shut down because some people have gotten their feelings hurt.

 

Before we leave this topic entirely I do want to put my two cents' worth in. Never forget that the primary purpose of LL is as a modding site. Yes, we have blogs and various types of Threads and we're glad to provide these BUT they are not what we're here for. LL is here to provide a place for mod makers to show off (and share) their work with mod users. Everything else is secondary. So, if my decisions, or those of others on staff seem arbitrary, try looking at them through that lens and the Rules.

Hi, is there a problem with the downloads? The times I was able to download (I say this because the downloads always get cut off) I do it at a speed of between 10 and 20 kb/s, the maximum speed I can get in downloads doesn't even reach 100 kb/s and my internet isn't bad at all.
Today a 110Mb download was cut off 8 times and in the last attempt I got a little more than halfway and it was cut off again, and that download had already taken 29 minutes for 110Mb...
Is that normal? I'm posting it because I've been experiencing it for months.
