I would like this as well. Sometimes the image is bigger than the rest of the post - too much real estate. Even limiting the image to avatar size, approximately, would be nice.

If either of these can be done easily, I'd appreciate it. Thank you.

In your case I would suggest Reporting the signature. LL's Rules (see below) specifically forbid overlarge signatures:

Forum signatures should not be larger than 250 pixels high or 600 pixels wide. They must not contain any affiliate links, or links to paysites, and must be static (no animated gif). Signatures are allowed to contain pornographic content, as long as it is not anything deemed hardcore, which is up to the judgment of the site staff. A certain amount of leeway in regards to signature sizes or avatars is allowed here, the most important thing is to simply not make your signature overly intrusive or distracting. Avatars, like signatures, should also be static images and not animated.

Dunno if the complaint was about me, I had no idea .gifs wern't allowed as Sigs.

Removed and noted, monkey humping will go back in his folder.

You can just block signatures from being displayed site-wide. There's an option for it in the profile settings. This is the first thing I ever did when I signed up on this forum several years ago and I have never seen the need to change that. I have no idea what any of you guys signatures are or even if you have one. And I'm not bothered by it.

Nice to know. My signature contains references to the mods and blogs I have made. I've often told someone something like, "you can find a mod like you're looking for in my signature."

Signatures were fine for as long as web forums could only support ASCII text. The moment it all went into GFX interface and all that fancy emoticon shit I quit. I'm too old and been on the interwebz for far too long to waste time deciphering hieroglyphs instead of reading properly constructed sentences.

Having said that I was today years old, when I learned you made mods. I'm still not turning signatures on though.

Then you won't have to worry about seeing whatever you choose from said person.

This doesn't prevent the other person from interacting with ME though. It's not a block. It's an ignore. Blocking prevents BOTH people from seeing each other's content even if one person only has blocked the other.

Every major social site has this feature, Xitter, Facebook, Instagram, Bluesky.

But you knew that already.

I can't just magically change the core functionality of forum software the site has been using for years.

As I've said every time this has come up, I don't have any real control over how the block function works. Unfortunately, I am beholden to the forum software. If I wanted to venture outside of its default functionality, such as forcing a new method of blocking, that would require commissioning a new forum plugin to add such functionality.

I'm sorry this is such a problem, but I can't magically fix it and change how blocking works.

IPB5 is coming out in a month or two, however, and it is a major upgrade to the site's current version of forum software. It may have more robust block/ignore functions than the current version. If it doesn't, I'll consider commissioning such a plugin.

No worries, it's just a suggestion from my end. Although it would definitely be a nice to have considering the harassment I have endured on this site from stalkers and weirdos alike.

You have restricted the type of file that is Allowed to be posted...
I have a problem with that...

A few people I make things for, one in particular, I send "Package" files in their original format... "sims3pack".
Worlds for this platform are always sims3pack. When this is not allowed in privet messaging... we have a problem...again.

Please make an allowance for this type of file...

I've added sims3pack to the list of allowed types.

Hey there, I hope to find some help here...

Since a couple of months ago, the loverslab site has some weird behaviour when using regular Opera browser.

I can't open "spoiler tags" anymore... At least for most of the time.

If I need to watch a spoiler, I quickly change to "Edge"... Which gives me eye-pain.

I'm quite sure, that there must be q way, to get LL work in perfect harmony with Opera again, right?

My post about Starfield Shattered Space was removed, I did not breach LL rules in my post.

It is my belief that a reason for a post being removed should be accompanied by a PM explaining the reason for removal.

Sure. Any political or religious (including anti-religious) speech is routinely removed. As is my custom, you will find Rule 9 in the Spoiler below:

Spoiler
  1. In an effort to keep the site & community inviting and friendly we do not allow several categories of conversation. This is not intended as censorship or endorsement of any particular view, but rather a move to keep this site neutral and open. The categories of conversation that are not welcome include those discussing politics and religion. Too often these discussions descend into pointless bickering and lead to offending one party or the other (if not both). This sends the wrong message of what this site is all about. There are plenty of forums, blogs and other online outlets available for these types of conversations, this site is not one of them.

LoversLab is first and foremost a gaming community. As such, we wish to be welcoming and friendly to all genders, orientations, nationalities, religions, and beliefs. Those who are not conducive to that environment will be dealt with in whatever reasonable manner we deem appropriate. What is deemed "political or religious" is up to staff discretion and no others.

Yeah well why not remove it all, the user who has a religious signature under his avatar, the posts about the same, the songs posted about the same?!

I was not discussing R, I was simply commenting it has no place in our games and I did not go in to detail about it, I have seen far worse that was not removed.

The whole Starfield game is based on it, with Shattered Space centering on it, then therefore should be removed, any mention of it is talking about, supporting the very same thing you say is not allowed but is everywhere on this site.

It is clearly copying real life dogma, ideas, concepts, vernacular, while not being written vague enough to detach it from reality.

If one is censored because the Fan-boys who rule roughshod over anyone who has anything negative to say about Starfield then be fair in the Censorship, or is it "do as I say not as I do".

I have as much right to post a negative view of the game as they do to post positive views.

Oh and how about the song posted and the posts supporting the killer that shot the CEO in NY, I suppose that is fine too.

Please give Darkest Dungeon its own section, its one of the most heavily lewd-modded games of all time and its delegated to one single absolutely massive, over 200 page thread.

@Ashal or @Psalam

any chances of merging the "show yourself" threads? I still don't know why there's two.

Also maybe implementing a soft posting limit  (1/day or such) for such threads?

The upload and display of images seems to be broken again, I can't upload a header image or any other image for that matter, even after multiple tries.
