You can now edit listing details without bumping your listing and notifying all of your followers. Prior to the site update, any listing description edit would have the same notification priority as a file update.
SurverX Posted March 19, 2024 Posted March 19, 2024 (edited) Hi. What happend with our Screenshots for the mods? Why are the order now different, and what is the order in which the screenshots are displayed now??? I can rename that what ever i will it is always a totally sensless order. Pamatronic Posted March 20, 2024 Posted March 20, 2024 Something I have noticed: If you create a new topic, you don't automatically follow it. And I feel that a lot of the time this leads to the following situation: someone who´s new to the forum asks a question, but doesn't follow it. Which means that unless those who answer quote or mention the OP, he might never get a notification that his question has been answered. Maybe implement an auto-follow for new topics? 8
Simpossible_xx Posted March 22, 2024 Posted March 22, 2024 I don't get notifications about likes anymore, and there is something wrong with screenshots' order on mod pages. Appeared after latest maintenance. 2
beefers Posted March 23, 2024 Posted March 23, 2024 site navigation and download speed has been brutal the last few days. Downloads keep failing and/or taking forever where I can normally download a 2GB movie in about 20 seconds.

You can turn them back on by opening the notifications panel, going into notification settings through the button on the top right of the notification panel, and selecting these two options in the menu. 4
Nuascura Posted March 24, 2024 Posted March 24, 2024 @Ashal LL has never allowed us to change picture order beyond the order in which we upload them. But since the recent site update, I can't seem to change this order even after re-uploading my images. Is this a known issue? I've deleted all of my images and re-uploaded all of them again, and even then, the order seems messed up. 1

hana120 Posted March 24, 2024 Posted March 24, 2024 Good morning/Good evening. I don’t know if that happens to you. I noticed that for a few days now, LL’s image upload system for inserting images is how to say...strawberries! Unable to display images correctly when you want to put some in your articles. Instead, small squares appear. And I must say, it’s starting to become a pain in the ass! When you want to put two three images, it’s okay but when you want to make a blog and post a chapter with images, well it quickly becomes difficult. Instead of a quarter of an hour or a few minutes, it takes an hour to see two or more!
dollprincess Posted March 24, 2024 Posted March 24, 2024 It has been terrible to upload files. It keeps giving error over and over, even after 100% mark already did it.

Guest Posted March 25, 2024 Posted March 25, 2024 > It looks to me that the site needs re-maintenance and a deep fix since the last maintenance was unsuccessful.

If you upload images to free image hosting sites and link to them via other media/ Insert image from URL, this may work better. If not, please don't shoot me. I`m not innocent 😁😇

As far as I can tell, it seems to be ordered based on the time it was uploaded. But if you batch upload screenshots, then all the screenshots in that batch will end up with the same timestamp, at which point they'll switch to ascending upload order within their batch. I used @Surverx's upload here to check how it was all ordered. You can see in this database listing for all the files screenshots that this sort order matches the same order the screenshots are displayed in. Stormtrooper2.jpg was the first screenshot uploaded in the most recent batch of screenshots that were uploaded so it is displayed first. There's not really a good way for me to change this without having to redo the change every time the forum software updates, as this isn't an option in the software but something hardcoded in the source code. 2

Thank you for the info! I am pretty sure that the order before was: "Newest image on the very right side. On the left side was the image that i uploaded first" So i guess it was the record_id. After the last update the latest (newest) image is on the very left side... but as you mentioned if the images has the same timestamp... I ended up uploading the images in the reverse oder i want them to see saving the complete version after each update (maybe i just had to wait a minute between each image). That makes it very annoying to load images if you want a specific order. For me it would be ideal if the images are listed alphanumeric from left to right. In this case we can rename the images in the order we want them to see. If that is Not possible i would prefere the old solution to order in the record_id (even with the same timestap the record_id differs): first upload on the left side, last upload on the right side... Most of the time it worked great until last month or two. Yeah I personally like to use LL as the host for direct message images and imgbox for blog entries. Since usually blog entries contain hundred+ of images for me at this point it is a good option for that. I still like using LL for personal DM's though since it is usually one or two cropped images at a time. I hope it is fixed soon, but there are options to use in the meantime.
CardinalBirb Posted March 27, 2024 Posted March 27, 2024 did they remove the option to receive emails on file updates? why? I did use and depend on it pretty often. 1
Grey Cloud Posted March 29, 2024 Posted March 29, 2024 The site is really slow today, even slower than it has been for a week or two. Posting images, even < 1mb-sized jgs is extremely hit or miss. Has been for a week or three. Just got an Error -2 on my latest attempt. 1

I hope this goes back to normal eventually. I'm not too happy about what it's doing to my galleries. Figuring out the new "correct" order is already giving me a headache. Anyone knows if they've tried it.
Ashal Posted March 31, 2024 Author Posted March 31, 2024 The order for images is literally just "most recently uploaded images show first." with the basic caveat that if you upload multiple at the same time, then those ones will show in the order you uploaded during the edit. For example, you have the following 3 screenshots currently in this order: a.png b.png c.png If you upload a new screenshot called x.png and save your changes, you're screenshots will be. x.png a.png b.png c.png If you then edit your file again to upload 2 more screenshots at the same time, named y.png and z.png your order will be y.png z.png x.png a.png b.png c.png 3
