Alrighty. So, I've been investigating this silly Bodyslide thingy in an effort to bring our official CBBE support up to speed. I've never used it before and I'm having a little trouble with it. Maaaaybe one of you experienced bodysliders can answer a couple questions?

 

1. The thingy will load none of my OBJs. What do I do to produce OBJs it will accept? OBJ is literally the simplest 3d format ever devised, how the heck is Bodyslide managing to fumble this so badly?

 

2. So I load up my outfit at weight 1 with the appropriate reference, do the conform thing, tweak the morphs and save. Out of nowhere the weight 0 mesh appears. Usually pretty misshapen. How do you edit the weight 0 shape and morphs? There's literally every slider ever conceived of in there except the all-important weight slider! WTF?

3. Whenever I have nifs that have multiple possible configurations, like the corset (for which we have three different nifs depending on whether there's a chastity addon or not and whether that chastity addon is open in the back or not) - how can I provide consistent shapes/morphs for them (and also not do the same work three times)?

 

4. How to copy weights off multiple references at once? For example I need both the body and the hands for the gloves.

Not highly advanced user, but i'll share what i know (or think i do, anyways):

 

3. for that you want to look into zap sliders, allows to add options (guide 8 here )

 

4. i think your best bet is to combine body and hands (load both as outfit in OS and export, beats importing tons of finger or body bones in nifskope) and then load that as new reference to copy from.

Re: 3 I don't need to add the corset belts as an option in bodyslide. In fact I need there not to be this option so as not to confuse users. What I do need is for bodyslide to export the the corset three times in different configurations when you press Build. At least I imagine it should be possible. Will happily accept alternative suggestions though!

1.) Caliente released BS/OS in Dec. 2013 with basic OBJ support, and I haven't looked into that part of the code yet.

2.) As you probably found out already, there's a slider called "SeamSm", which will automatically morph the shape to the low weight.

It's set to hidden, so it's only visible inside OS, not BS.

 

3.) You mean, click Build once and it exports 3 sets of meshes? Not really possible, but BodySlide has the grouping features.

You can put all your slider sets into one group (see BodySlide\SliderGroups folder) which will allow the user to "batch build" that group.

For batch building, choose your custom made group in the group filter at the top of BodySlide, then hit the Batch Build button.

 

Zaps can only remove shapes (or parts of shapes), so if there's a slider set it could be useful for, the base mesh has to have all the options, and inside BS/OS you zap those away you don't need (though the output path will be the same for all zap combinations in the same set).

 

4.) Yes, combine body and hands into not only one NIF, but also one single shape. You can do that by joining the shapes in 3ds max/Blender, exporting as NIF and loading as a reference into OS.

 

There's also a BodySlide addon called Unified UNP coming soon. It uses an UNP body in a CBBE shape as a base and comes with sliders to almost all of the UNP families bodies and all the regular sliders CBBE has. Good thing about it is, once you have either a CBBE or UUNP BodySlide conversion, they can be easily converted to the other by conforming and copying weights.

There is a clipping issue with one of the zaz restraining furniture.

 

The multi restraining pole causes some minor clipping on the arms if you have the new gloves on it seems.

 

Dunno if it's of any interest, but just wanted to let you know!

 

Could be that it's impossible to make everything clipfree considering the vast amount of animations.

What gets rendered or not in 1'st person view is entirely controlled by what slot it uses, which is a really really silly way of doing things, you'd think a nice little flag you could set would be ideal, but no, Bethesda decided to do it this way instead, which means there's nothing we can do about it.

 

We coulden't use any of the slots for this that the game is set to render, and we can't change what gets rendered without breaking compatibillity with almost every mod out there (it would require modifying all the vanilla races), so yeah, just gotta deal with them not rendering in 1'st person

I think what's getting people to notice this now are the restrictive gloves. Being actually in the glove slot gets them to render (Which is good to know, my own modding is starting to semi-reliably get stuff in game, I may have gone crazy trying) so when people get arm cuffs they'll notice the absence more.

 

That being said third person view maximizes the ability to oogle

The installer is on the fritz. Install regular UNP, then manually drag and drop the UNP-skinny meshes in afterwards.

yeah fomod is looking for "01 UNPB"... it should be "01 UNP"... just that...

I seem to be having a strange problem that I have been unable to pin down.  I get devices that do not give me dialog options to remove or unlock them.  This has been primarily happening with boots, but I now have a high security harness that will not give me the option to unlock it, and a set of nipple piercings that appear to have been removed, but I still get periodic shocks from them.  I am new at trying to troubleshoot this type of thing, so here is my papyrus0.log and load order.  I am using mod organizer.

This post can be ignored.  I figure out that what I was experiencing was all part of the mod.  It just took a while to see the blacksmith dialog.  Speaking of which, perhaps it could be set up to offer an 'alternate form of payment' if the PC happens to be a bit short on gold....

High Security devices are part of Deviously Cursed Loot and can only be removed by paying a blacksmith. There are no keys, and by default Cursed Loot will actively prevent removal via console commands.

I need some help, please! I browsed through the first few pages of this thread and didn't see anything about this so I'll ask:

 

With this installed, when I launch Skyrim it crashes to desktop when it gets to the menu. I'm new to all of this so I probably screwed something up. I don't have many mods (only 10) so I uninstalled everything and tried each one just one at a time to finally pin it down to this one. What am I doing wrong? I tried to post a screenshot but apparently I can't post links on a new account

 

I didn't 100% understand the insturctions so I'll tell you what I installed to try and get this to work:

Caliente Beautiful Bodies, and I did the curvy body option

SexyLab

Skyrim Script Extender

Fore's New Idles in Skyrim (and then ran that application to update like it insturcted)

SkyUI

This mod and its two addons (Expansion and Integration)

 

So what can I do to make this work? Thanks.

Sorry for the double post, but I can't edit as a new user, either. I just wanted to clear up that I launch it with the "Launch with SKSE" option. I tried without that as well and the same thing happens.

Crashes at the splash-screen means you are missing a dependant mod, or your loadorder is incorrect (trying to load mods before the mods they depend on).

 

Go grab Tes5Edit, launch it with your whole loadorder selected, and then browse through the log it generates on the righthand side of the screen when it's done loading. This will help you locate the missing or misplaced dependancy (the log should have one or more errors in it).
