It tests your understanding of what is going on around you, and it allows you to make decisions, check reactions, and know yourself within the safe confines of your imagination. Think of this game as a kata. For the Dark Future; a future you may not even want to have. If you want to change it, this is your chance to practice how you'll do it. Whether it's the small world of a burnt-out neighborhood, or a Corporation that controls the assets of a Nation. That is your world, and that world is where you must make a difference. This is a world of opportunity, a world where a person can make their own way. We can change the world, right now!" The point of the setting is NOT that you can't make a difference, that in the end, you're just an inconsequential cog ground up by the larger mechanism dominated by the corps - quite the contrary. You may die, yes, but not as some cruel joke on the side, but because it may be necessary to make that change you want to affect. Actually sometimes, you can get a torticolis when sticking your head out of a window, especially if you do it too fast, it's not really a disease but still. I'm writing a publication about it, right now, as we speak. Hopefully it will save people from dying on the street. Even though they're not really on the street if it's just their heads sticking out of a window, and you can't die from a torticolis, I think. Wait, can you die of torticolis ?

Guest Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 This game is too ugly. It is uglier than many old games. I hope it stays in the most used for a long time, to show how much trash and shit the majority of the public is. Literal npcs that pays a killing for shit content from lazy companies, while scorning free content from dedicated mod authors. I've read so many horrible things said about mod authors, specially by console users, that whatever woke bullshit is imposed on them is justified, by their own nature as corporate bootlickers. They complain about day-one dlcs and microtransactions but willing pay for it, that's why the companies do it.
Darkening Demise Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 The problem is the game is repetitive, unoriginal, grindy, cliches AF. The story just sucks and is the typical rebel vs corporation bad guy. The gameplay consists of clearing outposts of brain dead AI. Its literally Far Cry with lasers. Though there's a better one called Blood Dragon. Honestly still after all this time modding is just as big of a joke as The Witcher. CDPR lies and lies again and again about mod tools and support. If this thing doesn't get game changing mods then its just going to stay mediocre. 5/10 at best even with the latest patch. Plus they still have yet to patch in the 80% of the game they bragged about removing before launch cause 'no one beat our Witcher 3 game wah!'. Maybe make a good game and more people will play through it. Removing content won't save bad things from being bad. Also they cancelled the second expansion and are only doing one which looks boring. Work for government stop some bad guys. Listen to untalented hack Keanu put no effort into his role again. $30 please! Nope. Tried playing through the game twice. First time on launch with male corpo, was bad. Second time with some patches as female street kid, was bad. The game can't be salvaged due to its shallow lackluster core of repetition and mediocrity. Especially since modding is just so basic and they won't patch in the removed content. But don't worry now they announced The Witcher 4 everyone is back to cock sucking the company like they did nothing wrong. Just like as GTA 6 was leaked everyone stopped hating Rockstar and Take Two and cried in their defense over the leak. 2

Comparing the situation of a much smaller game, or one published before lockdowns with the issue at hand is not just nonsense, it's self-contradictory. They needed a product on the market to "boom", so they put one out.

One question you have to ask yourself, is how will the world react when they realize that science is the main cause of cancer and most other major current diseases. It’s sad that medicine turned in to big business over being a noble profession. To be fair human degradation is just as much the churches fault as it is sciences. If both science and religion where removed, there will be another evil as bad or worse popping up. When religion and science learn to work with nature, we will see up to a 10x increase in yield, both physically and mentally. But hey dependent people are easier to control, so instead of having an abundance of free energy and food we get an abundance of pain and suffering.

So, his opinion on CP2077 being popular on Steam is "shut up, if you say anything then you are a COVID denier, and a flat earther" At least he didn't call anyone a nazi yet, but I am sure that is going to be soon. At least there is a nifty little tool here on LL to ignore those who do not contribute. WRT CP2077, it is an entertainment service/product. Delays are allowable, but using excuses to justify why the product is poor is not generally good marketing. However, without a PhD in Biotechnology, I can only state that as opinion. If only there were more PhD in Biotechnology at gaming companies, the state of games would be sooo much better. 1

Also I guess The Witcher 1, 2, and 3, plus all their DLCs don't count as already released that CDPR can "broom" out the door. As you can still find and buy all 3 on Steam and GOG. Not to mention all the games on GOG are sold by CPDR as they own that platform. You know nothing, about what you speak, and this thread was much better without you here.
aslab Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 Quick question, is Redmod substantial like it claims to be? Or is it just another bluff by CdRed. What I’m asking is, is it possible to create quest and add animation, like it claims it can. I know that red engine is supposed to be garbage and not many people know how to use Redmod yet. What I’m asking is, with difficulty aside, is it theoretical possible to seriously alter this game with the current tools like making sex mods.

For someone spouting being an expert you should probably finish out the context you started because Pondsmith covered how revolutions work pretty succinctly which is the literal punk in cyberpunk and just like most punk endeavors there is no happy ending other than what you or your potential circle get from it. The second half of your diatribe literally contradicts your earlier attempt an exegesis which isn't even needed, because the entire counterpoint of the thread's original premise is Badowski's The Matricular Adventures of Johnny Silverhand starring John Matrix from the Matrix doesn't fit 77, Red or even CDPR's first two treatments of the game's premise and presentation, and I really like the part where you literally repeat what I already said but twice as long, which renders the point of your point specious at best.
