Yeah, I was pretty sure my issue was not a mod conflict. Even at the end of my LO, it just wasn't responding. Never cracked open the mod though; just compared 1.3 and 1.4 and SHO NUFF. No Race edit to allow PC Dialog in 1.4.

There's literally no race record OW in the mod.

 

@QuestWave ... I would recheck your mod. It's missing Race Edits.

So, after verifying that the 1.4 mod had no race edits in my previous post, this morning I dove into xedit. The result:

 

 

SL Dirty Deeds Missives Race Edits.7z

 

So, I dumped out the race edits from 1.33 into a new esp. You can use this in one of two ways:

 

1. You can simply drop this into your load order, and place it last, and definitely after the Dirty Deeds Missives ESP.

 

Or, if you know your way around xedit...

 

2. You can copy the records of this esp into the 1.4 version of the mod. This is what I've done and tested.

 

Using method two, went out...calmed a giant and bippity boppity boo, the dialog works properly. So, if you're running into this particular bug, have at it. Either way, it works as intended. Hooray for .... things.

The charm and talk to animals isn't working for me.  Other quests are though.  

 

Have you considered some kind of patch/integration with Sexlab Enchantress vs. charm and talk to animals?

Hello everyone, I’m new to this and have only done basic modding with vortex and tesnexus so I’m going to do my best not to get laughed at here lol I installed all the reqs and whatnot and I got it to the point that I receive the note from the board and it gives me the quest and the quest marker, it also gives me the dialogue but right after that, it stops and I can’t actually perform the acts, like for the horse husbandry one, the stable master goes through the convo and the horse appears but all I get is the “ride horse” prompt and nothing else, also I tried the belathor (sure I spelled that wrong) quest and he goes through the convo and the game says “goes somewhere nice while he prepares” but nothing happens…. Also with the “more creatures” mod, all I can do is pet the dog when selecting “talk to dog” none of the animation prompts seem to pop up for me. Any idea why? I’m sure it’s simple. Thank you for your time.

So I managed to figure it out the Atronach specific quest problem.

In xedit, you have to delete the target references in the 'Objectives' section of the quest formid dd_q26_atronachs

 

Also, if your dialogue isn't appearing, it might be because you installed it mid-playthrough. The quests won't work unless Stage 0 is completed (i.e. set to 1, you can check this by doing sqs dd_qqXX_quest for the specific quest). The quests are set to Start Game Enabled so only a new game will make this happen.

Unless it's 1.4, with creatures. The problem there seems to be lack of race edits. Like, they're just not in the mod at all. See the above posts for more, as well as a workaround/patch.

This is absolutely on point. I noticed that, while updating to 1.4, none of the horse deeds get posted to the board. They exist in the mod, but as you've pointed out...the Missive boards appear to get populated on a new game; and it would appear they never update.

 

To work around the issue, you can use Add Item Menu to open the mod in game, and grab missives that may be missing.

 

There appear to be some other oddities with this mod, but I cannot be sure as of yet; I am trying to nail them down, but some of the issues kind of defy articulation at this point, and I have trouble trying to reproduce them. It could be this mod, or it could be another...which may be more likely? I finally nailed down a problem I was having with SOS, so perhaps I'll spend some more time working on this.

 

I like this mod, I'd like it to succeed, and even get better. But, I have qualms right now about keeping it in my load order right now, all things considered.

Hi, does anyone know if all dialogue in version 1.4 is completely voiced?

 

Just asking because I see this generated voice pack for Dirty Deeds but its only for 1.3 (Linking it below).  If 1.4 isn't completely voiced, could I use this voice pack to fill in gaps, or would it flat out not work since its intended for 1.3?

Wow, thanks for that. Got giants and wolves working, but the troll dialog still isn't showing up. Human dialogs seems fine as well.

Not sure what to say here, I tried a troll and the dialog was working. Did you read a troll missive before hand and accept it?

The deed for Jarl Siddgeir doesn't work for me.

The quest log for him is empty (quest shows up but no text) as well as his dialoge option not showing up at all.

 

Checked some random other deeds (Belethor, Farengar, Hemming, Temples, Taverns, Guards) and they work.

 

Using the race edit patch above doesn't fix this.

I got the missive from the board and read It inside my inventory, then accepted It. The giant and Wolves deed i read before taking them from the board. Dunno If this could be the reason why it isn't working. Gonna test It tonight, If things change I'll update this comment. ?

 

Sooo.... No luck. Disabled all mods that added dialogs with trolls, Creature edits that changed stats and texture stuff as well. Also i got a bit further and noticed that not only the troll, but falmer and atronach deeds are also not showing up any dialog, they don't have any quest log on the journal despite having logs written on Xedit. I'v only tested on the creature deeds cause they are the main thing for me on the mod. All other creature deeds - rieklings, wolves, giants and seekers - are working just fine, they also have a quest log on the journal. 

I'm not a huge knower of xedit to try and find a possible problem regarding quests not displaying logs and stuff, but i'm pretty sure it ain't a mod conflict.

 Just to clarify: It wouldn't. The race patch is simply to insure creatures can be activated for dialog.

I think they should work just fine. They're just transferring over inventories and faces. Easy to check though. Just fire them up in SSEdit and run the "check for errors" on them. If nothing pops up you're fine. (If anything is weird, just delete the offending record.)

Thanks! I tried flagging it as ESL to save a slot. Sofar that still appears to allow creature talking during the missive.

FYI this voice pack would work 1.3, but any lines added between 1.3 and 1.4 would not be voiced. It's been a while since I played Skyrim but I still have the game installed so I'll look into making an update for 1.4 if no one else has already done it.

Might be a stupid question but can we use OSTIM NG instead of Sexlab, I don't want the creature animations but I love the overall idea of this mod and wanted to use it. (Most my sex mods use OSTIM NG.)

Hey, sorry for noobs question but I do have all those Pandorables NPC and Bijin replacer mods installed. Does that mean I need patch for every one of them in order to use this mod? What exactly does your patch does? And what do troll status mean?

My patches simply use the Pandorable and Kalilies appearances along with the changes made in this. As for trolls well... vanilla NPCs are ALL trolls. ? (No offense to trolls. ?)

I see. So without the patch this mod will revert NPC appearances to vanilla? Thank you for making all these patch. Curious question. Can I just load Pandorables and Kalilies after this mod? If this mod change any other NPC in the future they all will required a patch as well?
