The scariest bug of all mods of this type. If the NPC breaks due to interrupted animation, this happens. Is there a possibility for debugging or does early storage only fix this?

I am not sure if I can fix this,

what about fast traveling to the location you are at (The Castle)

Use the aaf ui key and force the npc into a sex animation.   Then end animation 

 

Clears this up for me, as well as anytime the player gets stuck. It is rare but a bug.

First off, this mod is exactly what I was after, its awesome thank you for making it!

 

My only real issue I'm having is with the length of animations it plays.

I tried to use these settings, because 60s min is what I want but the animations never last that long, sometimes they're as short as 5 seconds, Setting the "random number" thing to 0 and putting duration at 120, still only plays for 30 seconds or less... 


 

Dunno if anything can be done about it but I thought I'd at least leave you the feedback because I want this mod the thrive lol its really is amazing :D

 

E: Sorry forgot to mention I'm using the "horny" edition but with it set to "Disabled: everyone can have sex"

can you post what animation packs you are using and if you know which animation was playing?

You could try Indarello's Animations Patch which repeats the main stage of animations for the length of scene you select, then plays the exit stage. Very immersive.

Pretty much all of them lol, except for the "bad end" stuff. 

 

I think you're right with it being related to animation runtime, I know I've seen it happen with a Savage Cabbage stuff, it'll just play one stage once and exit instead of repeating 

 

will try out what dosfox posted and see how it goes

These are my favourite methods of fixing broken or stuck animations:

 

1. Get Out Of My Face (Push Away Companions and NPCs). This mod allows you to physically push NPCs around without making them hostile. Very satisfying.

 

 

2. Companion Ivy. You can teleport Ivy to you via a hotkey. Whenever Ivy teleports to a location all the NPCs in the close vicinity "cringe" at her arrival. This Cringe animation immediately breaks up any broken or stuck animations in the area and redresses all actors. In this example Ivy is actually one of the participants in a never-ending animation and teleporting her to me fixes it. Reliable and always Spectacular.

3. Go into build mode and select each actor. Selecting them will release them from the animation. Boring, unimmersive, and going into build mode may break other running animations.

60 Seconds works fine for me but I change the AAF settings to a longer period than default. Are your characters standing up during animation? Are they redressing ahead of time? Are you using Random sex mods with their own timers which you need to set to 60 ( SEU, MCG, Violate, Sex Harassment, etc.)?

I will mention, ticking the option in the UAP to remove the weird animations gets rid of this issues. Its just misinterpretation of different tags in the animations. :)

I have all the animations, and that patch removed the "awkward" situations lol

ok so I think part of my problem was that I set this game up a year ago and was reluctant to update because I tried initially and failed so I ran back to what "just worked" HOWEVER I bit the bullet and cleaned house, fully updated the game and picked one the standard patch options instead of "extended" and things seem to be working. 

 

Still have issues with savage cabbage stuff though because of the way the scenes are all broken up, is there a patch somewhere that merges them together and repeats the middle sections a bunch like the leito ones? (This is all creature/dog stuff btw, probs should have mention that before)

Sadly this didn't work for me, just made AAF not load and its under the "Skip/Scrap these mods/patches" on the AAF idiots guide, but for the sake of testing would I use that one instead of UAP? together with? and if together, which order do they go in?

I have always used Indarello's Patch and AAF loads fine. The Patch must override all other sex related mods. The AAF Guide folks just do not like Indie. His patch works great for most. Just so you know the creature sex cannot be smoothed out at this point by anyone. Leito might have fixed his but I have not used his stuff in long time.

Ditto everything  @maddadicusrex said.    @Indarello's Patch is the perfect complement for Autonomy.  Just read the download page carefully and make sure you have all the requirements installed. Be aware that some of the Patch requirements have their own requirements, so be careful not to miss any of those. You must install "Custom Moans" or AAF won't load. Good luck!

Ok I managed to get everything working and moans are working (they weren't with the UAP for some reason) with that other patch but I've lost the dog dicks lol

 

ding dong I'm a dumbass lol, didn't realise the UAP had the creature resource built into it so that's where all the Dog D went :P

ok the only issue I'm having now is this mod causing sound to cut out for npcs, for example custom moans will work initially then go silent, thought it was a problem with custom moans but after multiple installs I noticed turning off this mod completely fixes the issue - the sex noises still work, they just loose their voice

 

I've also found that npcs will just go silent as well sometimes forcing them though another animation will fix it, but feels like its something to do with the scanner and them failing to find a partner or they're busy when it selects them to try, as with the case above with the moans, where they're already in sex and then they just go quiet until the sex finishes or I run them through another AAF animation

Just trying this out and I noticed then when I install "no Armor Keywords" option I still have it as a missing requirement in MO2.

 

Was about to boot up FO4Edit and see if I could squish that requirement by removing masters, but wanted to check if I wasn't missing something.

Yeah I've managed to get things all working now with indarello's patch, the timings work and the animations all look way better with the way that one handles things.

 

 

Just a question about the debug display thing - it'll say "location allowed" which i get but then says "[race          ]" - its something to do with the junkyard dogs but its odd because action will happen eventually but never at the same frequency as with dogmeat, who just always gets to it. (hopefully I'm explaining that ok)

 

Do those logs output to anywhere or is it just ingame?

It's weird isn't it? You can't find a way to increase threesomes, and i have found no combination of settings that will stop them. I've got nothing against threesomes as such, but about 25% of the threesomes i see either get stuck repeating the animation or degenerate into multi-npc clusterfucks. Not that i've got anything against the clusterfucks either, they are spectacular, but they never conclude and prevent any other scenes occurring in the location until they are manually stopped.

 

Have you tried adjusting the "walk timeout" setting in AAF_settings.ini? If you decrease it down to <10s you will definitely get more 3somes, but more of everything else too.

It is interesting to note that it was when 3somes were first introduced to Shenanigans that the mod become much more unstable and buggy.  About that time a "Cooldown" MCM slider was introduced for NPCs. You could specify a time in minutes that NPCs were excluded from scans after participating in a scene. It never really fixed the problems it was addressing then, but it added variety to different scenes in a location, preventing repeated scenes with the same partners. I was wondering if something like that might also prevent 3somes turning into clusterfucks?
