It's weird isn't it? You can't find a way to increase threesomes, and i have found no combination of settings that will stop them. I've got nothing against threesomes as such, but about 25% of the threesomes i see either get stuck repeating the animation or degenerate into multi-npc clusterfucks. Not that i've got anything against the clusterfucks either, they are spectacular, but they never conclude and prevent any other scenes occurring in the location until they are manually stopped.

Have you tried adjusting the "walk timeout" setting in AAF_settings.ini? If you decrease it down to <10s you will definitely get more 3somes, but more of everything else too.

@Invictusblade

It is interesting to note that it was when 3somes were first introduced to Shenanigans that the mod become much more unstable and buggy.  About that time a "Cooldown" MCM slider was introduced for NPCs. You could specify a time in minutes that NPCs were excluded from scans after participating in a scene. It never really fixed the problems it was addressing then, but it added variety to different scenes in a location, preventing repeated scenes with the same partners. I was wondering if something like that might also prevent 3somes turning into clusterfucks?

The difference between how we set up Autonomy is that I use 5 minute scan intervals which slows down the sex events. Otherwise I would never get other game matters handled. AAF can slow stuff down with its processing and sequencing. I like to control my game rather than AAF control it.

Tried that. Even with long scan interval threesomes cannot be disabled.

During normal gameplay my scan interval is always at least double max_scene_length+walk_timeout. I only wind scan interval down low to take vidcaps.

Why do we need an unofficial patch?

basically because UFO4 alters a couple of outfits.

and Outfit framework uses them

and then I made a mistake when updating the mod last (Creation kit loves to add masters)

so the mod itself doesn't require UFO4 (but it is still has it as a master)

sorry for being rude but this mod is basically all I ever asked for the only thing that is messing is the player being selected

I turned on the option for the player second from the bottom than got alone with a number of npcs while playing with the other options because it’s a bit similar to “random shenanigans “

and I’m still not able to get the player involved

After I installed AAF_AutonomyEnhanced_v2.60.7 I did not see an "settings.ini" file in the "Data\MCM\Config\AAF_AutonomyEnhanced" directory like I sometimes see in other mods.

(No sure if its suppose to have that, but it might be why the settings never can be changed)

Yeah, Random Shenanigans was fun, I thought Autonomy was an alternative to it that could be compatible with Family Planning but I couldn't get Autonomy to work at all.

This is my Load Order, maybe there is something wrong here:

Doe an ini file exist for this  mod?

Am I missing am "*.ini" file for "AAF_AutonomyEnhanced_v2.50" ?

I don't see one for this mod under either of these paths...

Fallout 4\Data\MCM\Config\AAF_AutonomyEnhanced

or

Fallout 4\Data\MCM\Settings

Mod Configuration Menu has the settings/options for Autonomy. You go to that screen in game to set all options for mods that support MCM. They may not be the settings you want but not every mod is made so anyone can just get inside of it and muck it up!

When I navigate to these options in game with Autonomy, is there any idea as to why the settings will not stick?

I think my installation is ok then, but I haven't been able to enable Autonomy or setting any of it settings.

So you are saying that you set the options but somehow they go back to default?

Yes, when returning to the settings I see all the values reverted back to what they were originally.

I believe that might be a MCM issue. Did you try to reinstall that. All my settings lock in. There are ini type files in Autonomy but hate to say anything unless you know what to do with them. Open mod in file manager, there is a MCM file, open to configs. There is your menu showing default on/off. Just rewrite the default to what you want, save and that should fix it forever but it does not sort your original problem, just masks it.

Tried the Horny version. The settings won't stick on this version either.

I set the settings from Off to On and they revert back to Off.

I cannot get this mod to work.

Hope this helps, I finally got this mod to work by cleaning my save file.

(Only was able to get the AAF_AutonomyEnhanced_v2.30a version to work)

After installing several mods over each other my save file may have been polluted with bad data.

Might be best to start fresh from a  new game, but I have a character and state that I wanted to continue playing this mod from.

I used the Resaver tool to remove unattached instances https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/76776?tab=files

Had to do the  same thing with Family Planning Enhanced.

Another cause could be another mod installed that breaks it. Not sure how to find that out, so I had to try removing mods that I guessed was the cause until it worked.

Autonomy and Family Planning Enhanced used together are my favorite mods.

I'm just learning this mod and testing a new load order with it. I noticed that Autonomy will grab quest actors. For example, Preston Garvey during When Freedom Calls.  Since FO4's quest engine breaks if you even look at a quest actor cross-eyed, this might be a problem. It does cause problems for Garvey in When Freedom Calls quest, though the quest is still viable.

Is there a best or recommended way to avoid Autonomy applying to quest actors? Or is that to just toggle off Autonomy whenever a quest begins?

I'd have to revisit the MCM, but I thought it had an option to exclude unique NPCs. If so, that would probably help.

The closest to unique I see is "Allow Companion NPCs". But the more fragile quests (those that rely heavily on NPC location, movement, and timing) tend to involve non-companion NPCs.

Yep, sorry, I was probably thinking about the MCM for Harassment. Some similar unique actor filter toggle for Autonomy might make sense then.

Yeah same thing. All three install options end up installing armor keywords as a master. Normal/No armor keywords/no armor keywords and UFO4.

I have the UFO4 master but have zero interest in installing any keywords with my current set up. I am sure its just an packing error but id wait and see. Did you have any issues removing the master?

**edit** Actually this is answered on the previous page near the bottom. Just jump back one page. I thought I had read the whole thread lol

Just install the main dl from the front page and then drop the esp he linked into the data folder to overwrite it. I figured I would type this until the front page gets updated with some of the trouble shooting. More chances to find the answer

I have a small issue with this mod.. So basically I was doing a random quest and I had to kill gunners at some location. Turns out, the two gunners (M + F) I killed were preparing for a scene (I did notice the notification in the top-left corner). Because they're both dead, I had to end the scene in the AAF itself; and now the quest that tells you where the scene is happening seems bugged - it constantly shows that location where the gunners were supposed to play a scene, even though the dead NPCs themselves are removed. Is it possible to reset this or do I have to load an earlier save (I'd like to avoid that!)?
