notmenotyou Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Try running the force restart command from the debug menu. That should do the trick.... I hope Had the same problem as the others (pilory not showing) and the force restart fixed it. However, I didn't update, I installed on a clean Skyrim.

Hi Magicrealm, I understand you're not happy with dying from the whip. As I've written what I think is 100x in this thread already, I'll need help debugging what is going wrong. If I can't see the problem on my setup, I also can't determine what's causing it. I run an expert game on a lvl1 character, so I would also see the problem. Expert vs legendary is 2x the damage output, and my health bar doesn't move. Neither should it. The whip can't crit, is not affected by wielder skill, and it causes a flat 2 points damage, according to the Creation Kit. If you're serious about being pissed off and want a working mod, you could help out in a lot of ways. 1. Read and use the troubleshooting section in the first post. Your screenshot indicates that you didn't because that problem should go away when you reset the mod (after the v32 patch). 2. Post a load order. I'm still thinking that (considering what I wrote above) there is some interaction with other mods. Maybe I'm wrong, but I need to start somewhere, and that somewhere is not my own setup. 3. Help by providing as much info as you can. Are you wearing the Prison Overhaul collar? I've asked this loads of times in the thread, but I never get a response. For the record, I believe you, and everyone really, when they submit bug reports. I'm not necessarily convinced of the analysis, but I do believe things aren't working. In this case, I'm also completely convinced it's the whipping that kills you. Except it shouldn't, and it doesn't on my setup. Anyway, it's up to you if you want to get this fixed or not. I can do the modding, but I can't do the debugging, sending logs, load orders and so on. Explaining to me why I don't mod at Nexus (?) or why I don't work in the game industry isn't going to help me debug PO, so it's not getting you what you want. For a 1st level, guards with the crop are doing a ton of damage ( Skyre installed ). I still don't know why this happens. I run on expert myself, so that should be at the most 2x more damage you get from difficulty. I also run a 1st level character, and obviously also naked. My guess is that a few things can happen 1. The collar that constantly heals you is not equipped or not working. The heal should easily be more powerful than the whip damage. 2. The magic effect itself (healing) is being blocked. 3. Fast forward applies every time I use the TravelTo scripts. They essentially anchors the player to an ObjectReference, and when distance exceeds some threshold, player ai is turned on. I think you an pretty much imagine how it works after your work on SD. I use those a lot though, because it's really convenient to just point the player to some destination and have the player pulled there. If you set fast forward to always activate, you'll be teleporting a lot in Prison Overhaul.

Personally I think that this is a great mod - I've had a few problems with it running smoothly but it doesn't drive me to insult those that are providing such great amusement. sapho888 Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 1 temporary bandaid for the damage while getting whipped bug (which i have occasionally had too but can't figure out why) is to go into console and type /tgm to turn on god mode for the duration of the whipping. It should prevent you from taking any damage and dying and you can turn it off after the whipping with the same command. But I also want to say thank you for the awesome mod. It is always one of my must install mods when I play.
entro Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 I've noticed that in whiterun at the pillory when i was getting a whipping the attacks pushed my character away. Also the whipping did kill me inside the prison and it did not in the previous version, though that doesn't bother me because tim mode

ttpt Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 ok, so I'm getting this weird bug where if I attack a guard from whiterun I get bounty for the Pale, this happens with the new version but it also happens if I just deactivate the old version. if I have the old version running and I attack this same guard, I get bounty for whiterun just fine. EDIT: On further tests with the old version it seems I get bounty for the pale in that at times anyway, but not all the time. Maybe some of the guards in whiterun in my game have the Pale faction, but not all of them.

It could be that ReProccer is changing the whips to actual weaponry.

I've been having problems with that for a long time, through many versions of the mod, and on my PC's latest jailing I kept my hands off the mouse while she was in the pillory and all whipping animations worked correctly. I wish I could recall exactly who to thank, but I went back 10 pages in this thread and couldn't find it, so I think it was mentioned in some other thread.

magicrealm Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Thanks for the explanation. i dont look up all Posts in all threads hundreds of pages so i am not aware if a porblem is known or not. mostly it is not known and i am used to being ignored when i show a problem. there is a hell of chaos in LL mods and things go in wrong directions, a lot of previous well working and useful mods get lost for the Gamers. i had explored an unexpecting totally disabling bug in defeat 5 right before i saw the damaging whips in po, and i had to delete all my files, get back to vanilla install defeat with requirement only to be sure that it is defeat itself. so i was really pissed off wasting so much time with mods that do not work. and that after i had to close my 91 hours game because of 25 seconds scripts delay - all from LL. Prison overhaul was a well working mod not long ago, at that time when you made the fast forward working perfect. i remember 100% sure the zaz punishment cane did no damage at all, because if a Whip makes damage, the model does not keep in the device. you had it all perfect and you ruined it. maybe you just go back with the mod to the Point when everything worked. if you own copies of all numbers. i am no modder and cant get into that kind of technical thinking. so i cant help with that, unfortunately. actually i wonder about the new zaz Features. ist great they continue developing zaz, but they dont realise that there are no mods using them. so all a gamer can do with it is going into testzone or using Display model 9. prison overhaul uses some whipping and the pillory animations, captured dreams uses a very small whipping too, and thats it all about zaz. i said a year ago that it matters more to make some simple mods to bring zaz devices into the game than debveloping more and more devices that Keep unused. as i have writen above, a simple match maker like mod would be the least to do.
creeper Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Hi. I find out that the problem with Windhelm jail dark room teleportation happens only the first time you get arrested. After you escape through the hatch on the floor the next arrest goes according the location/city you currently are. The problem is that when you get firs arrested you lose irreversibly all your stuff because they are nowhere to be found. They are not in the chests in any prion. This serious bug is game breaking for me and for now i wont use this mod. I hope that will be fixed eventually and i will be able to enjoy this mod again.
