For some reason the mod bugs out whenever my character is led to the pillory. Everything else in the mod works perfectly, however my character just stands there (the pillory dissappears or is invisible in the first place after load-in) and no animations play.

 

I've tried waiting 30-60 seconds incase the scipt was slow ive tried the force restart "fix" which simply resets the jailor and forces me to quit to the main menu because I've lost control of my character, and I've even tried putting ZaZ animations before Sexlab in the load order, to no avail.

 

To ease the job of troubleshooting: Yes I have fores and all necessary requirements (I'm not stupid) and have already used RunGenerateFNIS.exe etc as well as enabling all animations in selab / Zaz so this SHOULD work but, like I said, the pillory system is broken.

 

Have you some Devious mod installed. I had the same issue and (after trying all the rest) I sort it out by installing the Devious device PO patch... (it a bit of page down this thread). That's even if at the moment of arrest I didn't have any Device on.

is anyone taken to a single roomed square like cell the has only one chest and a trap door leading to windhelms prisons i have this issue and cant find the ultimate cause of the issue in question i have uninstalled mods i thought may be causing it but it seems that its related to po v031 and 032 it doesnt matter wat hold im in or were im arrested i am still onli being taken to this one room with the chest and trap door with no way of preventing it

 

Yep, this has started happening to me just recently. 

 

It's pretty funny actually, when a solitude guard takes me to the Windhelm jail (Fast forward) and is immediately swarmed by Stormcloak guards.  If I don't fast forward, the guard starts taking me a long long walk toward Windhelm.

 

Could you post a log where this happened? I'd be interested in seeing what went wrong.

where do i find the log files never had to look for them before...... i can deffinatly confirm that there are not any other mods causing the issue and its deffinatly po... after testing with the inclusion of the klapmod addition it ran smoothly up until you get to the jailor that is who is nowhere to be found but as soon as that mod was taken out issue returned....

I've since uninstalled the mod, but I found this log file that may be helpful;  I noticed a bunch of xpo errors.

 

I had to compress it as it was too big to upload.

Since updating to V032, the guards come up to arrest me, I select 'I submit', the guard goes through the 'you're going to rot in the dungeon' dialogue ... and then nothing. The guard just sheathes his weapon and walks away, leaving me to carry on as if nothing happened. This happens on major and minor crimes, though on major bounties, after a few seconds, the guard seems to notice me again and starts attacking me.

 

It all works fine on V031 if I go back to this, but I don't want to do that because I'm on Sexlab 1.59 and get the problem with the pillories on V031

I've tested this mod in Whiterun (and only Whiterun) three times now, and all three times I've gotten stuck at the pillory. I start by getting arrested for a major crime in the city itself, and then I'm led to Dragonsreach Dungeon. (I have a bit of problems with the auto-following stopping (almost until the jailer/guard is out of sight sometimes) and starting, even with caps lock on, but that's not a big deal.) The jailer then throws me in a cell, locks me in, and if it's night time, the in-cell punishments start and seem to work relatively okay. Otherwise (or afterwards), I'm led out to the pillory. I get some animation/script (not sure which) loading hangups that I can clear by pausing for a couple of seconds when animations should start, but I've been getting those in a lot of SexLab mods--I need to check to see if I'm getting them in mods not dependent on SexLab, too, though I haven't had the chance yet.

 

Anyway, other than that, things seem to progress normally; if I have crowds enabled, a crowd will gather after enough time has passed. Either way, somebody will come over to punish my character, and that works (other than those hangups I mentioned) fine.

 

It's when a punishment at the pillory ends that I get the problem. Sometimes after the punishment, the pillory will disappear, my character and the punisher will go into idle animations, and everybody involved (including the jailer and crowd, if there's a crowd present) gets stuck in their current animation--the jailer waiting, my character and her assailant idling, and the crowd jeering. This appears to go on indefinitely (I've tested up to three and a half in-game hours, which in that test lasted well after nightfall). I thought it might be a script overload thing, so I disabled crowds and tried to turn other things that might rely on scripts in the MCM off, but even that time, after the third punishment at the pillory, I got stuck (though the punisher managed to get away before the hangup happened, that time). The pausing trick I've been using for other stuck animations doesn't work here.

 

From the debug menu, I've tried using the Unstuck Jailer option (which did teleport the jailer away, but otherwise didn't progress the action), teleport to jailer, teleport to cell, disabling animations, and even the force restart option. None of it did anything--my character remained stuck idling at the pillory.

 

Anybody know what might be going on? I do have all the appropriate requirements (including Fuz), and have been running FNIS everytime I add any animation-related mods.

I haven't read through all the pages here so sorry if I'm repeating an issue.  To that point, it seems that when I get arrested in Morthal that I'm escorted out during the day to Riften for punishment.  At night I'm put back in the Morthal jail.  In the past dungeons like Morthal, Dawnstar and Windhelm kept me inside until I was released.

 

If you're wondering how I get to Riften and back in a timely manner I use the, "set xpofastforward to 2" console command, to avoid the parades through the city.

 

So does this happen to others?  I've only tested in Morthal and Windhelm.  In Windhelm I stay put, only Morthal send me on a prisoner release program.  Don't know about Dawnstar, I've been good while visiting there.

Just discovered this mod is not compatible with Sofia Follower O_o

Its quite popular, but if you have her as follower when its time to unequip equipment Jailer gets stuck doesnt go on to the phase taking you to prison cell.("lets get you locked" dialogue doesn t trigger, while the dialogue "prisoner unequip stuff"... works)

 

You might want to have any other player who installed her, test and put a warning in home page.

 

Any other follower i have, custom or vanilla, works.

I've since uninstalled the mod, but I found this log file that may be helpful;  I noticed a bunch of xpo errors.

Most of those errors are from other mods, though. But Prison Overhaul (correctly, I guess) says that it can't find the resources that it needs in the Solitude jail.

 

I think, considering how many people are having problems, that maybe I should try to find some other method of finding the right resources.

 

You can probably fix this by moving prison overhaul last in your load order. Though, that means that some other mod could potentially break, as PO and that mod are fighting for control of tagging some resource.

 

I'll add better debug printouts for the next version, but unfortunately, there's no way to know which conflict you have without using tools and having some modding knowledge. And it has to be done on your setup to figure out which mod is conflicting.

Sure, here's the log from the time I tried it. Hope I've done it right and it makes some sense. I've got a lot of crap in my game so this log seems a lot bigger than some I've seen for around a minute of gameplay.

It looks like arrest is attempted, but the code then goes no further. This would happen for instance if you didn't have a bounty.

 

Try to run the debug menu and getting arrested that way. That should force a bounty on you when you get arrested (though it won't necessarily be by the guard.)

That doesn't work either. When I try to trigger an arrest through the debug menu, I get a message saying 'failed to find an NPC to arrest the player' - even if I'm surrounded by them.

might i suggest using the console "player.setcrimegold xxxx" to add the bounty. that did it for me. before the guards would say that they know my face, talk to me and give me the options to resist the arrest or to submit, however they would just walk away as if nothing had happend. using the console to set a bounty worked for me.

Still won't work zaz animation pack was updated and po must be incompatible now because it worked just fine for me before
