thank you to all 3 of you for this change. i only hope that in time, these new resources are used by other to really expand Simple Slavery's importance :)

Cybercheese went to the trouble to build it, so hopefully others can benefit.  I mainly see it being useful for private mods, if a player has outcomes using scripts and quests that aren't in a form suitable for general release, or the author prefers not to make them public.  As new enslavement mods come along, it only takes me a few minutes to add an entry to the MCM that doesn't require scanning to be visible.

I'm not sure if this is proper form, but may I make a request?  The following mod has a great concept, but was pretty much dead from inception:

Seeing as Simple Slavery is pretty much the hub of "sent to slavery" and "slavery outcome" it seems like it would be a better core mod for this than SD+.  Either way, follower support would be a natural evolution on the SS++ concept---perhaps even with a scenario where the player has to buy the follower. 

 

Anyway, it's just a thought.  Thanks for considering :)

Interesting idea, but that's really the problem:  the author abandoned the mod in a beta state, for LE only, over two years ago.

I actually like the reverse of this and your follower has to buy you and you have to work off the ransom they had to pay. If the follower is a housecarl and you don't work off the ransom in time or if that housecarl just wants to, they could drag you before the court steward and claim you as their property for x amount of days and whore you out from your own player home to get the ransom back and then some.

That is essentially what happens if you get the Devious Follower outcome.

Yeah, that's sort of what I meant.  It is so early in implementation, that it is less viable to make a comparability patch, and potentially a better idea to just start from scratch and implement it through SS++ as it's base.  

Also, not saying "hey, make me this mod," so much as just trying to gauge your thoughts on the idea.  I'd love to help in whatever way I can, but my scripting skill is pretty non-existent.  Either way, if it is something you end up wanting to do, let me know any way I can help.

Sort of, sort of not... I think you're right in that it would be best as an addon, but at the same time, an obvious question that makes sense when a player is captured, sold off, etc., is: "what happened to the rest of the party."  Because of that, it seemed to me that it is at least related, if not completely intertwined.  That said, it shouldn't be mandatory, so an optional addon makes the most sense---to me, at least. 

Also, if a follower system was implemented, it would make sense to keep it as close to SS++ as possible, so they don't end up breaking each other.  Framed that way, does that make more sense? 

Also, yeah, entirely up to Hex :D

Caged Followers has a mod event.  SS++ could trigger a mod event like that based on a toggle.  That seems like a good fit, leaving development of working version of a follower imprisonment mod to someone else, as a separate mod that could stand alone or be triggered from here.  Maybe someone will be inspired build that kind of mod, borrowing ideas from Caged Followers.

 

I could see myself using it, though as others have noted, it's also interesting to have the follower rescue you.  Devious Followers Continued lets you be "rescued" after the auction in exchange for debt and/or deals.  Submissive Lola: The Resubmission does it in exchange for contract time.  It's another way to explain what happened to the follower, but with the PC in a non-heroic role.

Fair. I never got around to learning how to handle followers. It was on my extended to-do list.

Lol, I have all of one mod and all it is is some clever level design---and incomplete.  I would have no idea where to get started on something like this :/

Maybe I'm just being incredibly thick, but I just have to call:

sendModEvent("SSLV Entry")

In a script to send the player to SS right? Or do I need to add anything extra? Because I'm trying the code above and not having any success.

Though considering it's 4am at the moment, I probably am just missing something.

@HexBolt8 I have been utilising an Extension for Vortex mod manager and have found that version 6.3.4 of Simple Slavery Plus Plus has a BSA which is meant for use with Oblivion. The BSA file needs be of the format v104 in order to be used with Skyrim: Legendary Edition (The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim).

 

This issue is urgent as people may not realise this issue without the extension active, you may not have realised it yourself!!!

 

The Vortex Extension is called Bethesda Archive Check (https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/126) it is meant for use in Vortex Mod Manager. Well worth looking for that extension or a similar tool to check the BSA files are compatible with Skyrim (LE & SE).

I was being dumb and just trying to call it instead of trying to call it on the player, fixed it now.

Sometimes you just need to sleep on these things I guess.

If Simple Slavery auction triggers and player character is bought by Leah, is game suppose to teleport PC and her somewhere? Though I think she is suppose to be a follower, so I guess standard follower script works here.

I don't know, that's up to DCL.  This mods sends the "dcur_TriggerLeahSlavery" mod event, then it's in DCL's hands.

Tried it several ( 4 ) times. The player was lead to the platform and hang in irons for display. 

That's it. Only the background noise to listen, nothing else.

Last trial there seem something wrong with the order of what happened. First got the messagebox "Hanged up for display" and after that the messagebox

"Lead to the platform". (I do not wrote down exact text)

Never had any problems in my game with the older versions.

sounds like you need to install or update Fuz do Rah - Silent Voice.

If you mean that the slave market cell never loads when you try to enter, then you might be the only one with that problem.  I haven't seen that reported before.  Unfortunately, you didn't say how you went there.  The slave hall has a fair number of NPCs, so it's possible that a game that's already struggling to run might have problems loading the cell.
