Loving this mod, thanks for the work - both the original mod and the conversion to SE 

 

I'm in the process of setting up a new load order - switching from Flower Girls to Sand installing this mod for the first time. I'm having a handful of troubles with Immersive Hair Growth and Styling and I'm wondering if anyone has any insight.

Base Hair Style Missing

 

The first time I installed IMG&S, during character creation I was asked if I wanted to let IMG&S manage my hair. I said yes, and got a unstyled hairdo of the selected length. Things worked as intended. I ended up redoing the mod list, and the second time I reinstalled IMG&S the unstyled hairdos were missing.

• Basically, when I said "yes manage the hair" I kept the styled hair I selected during character gen.
• Later, during gameplay when I brush or shampoo my hair I still keep my current KShair style rather than the unstyled one (though I get the message that I've brushed it out).
• I can still change styles fine to other hairstyles.

Does anyone have any ideas what's going on and/ or how to fix it.

 

Here's my load order if that helps (and also, if someone can tell me how to hide the list and only show on expand I'll happily do so).

one Question to YPS ... i get it now fired up problem always ... i have to disable enable yps in Vortex if i want to reactivate it with a new charakter. Is there the possibility to fire it up within the mcm or via console?

Additionally, the MCM  menu option to manage or not manage hair growth does nothing for me at this point. Please help!

Everything seems to be working more or less, with one exception. I can change hairstyles except there is never any default hairstyle displayed. When I brush out my hair, the character still has the previous hairstyle (though using the mirror it says I have the default one). Same thing if I use the chair at the salon.

@Anunya hair brush seems to be working for me, maybe check with SSE-edit if some other mod has conflicts with yps. This is how it looks for me:

 

 

(which is just yps overwriting stuff modified by enhanced lights and fx)

 

btw: you do have all files in the download section installed in the right order? (see also: here)

 

@Baltasarr80 afaik you can't enable/disable this mod in it's entirety, only the specific submenus (head-hair, body-hear, etc.)

(Toggling the head-hair-color at least allows you to change the default hair color)

Ok, I don't understand why KS Hairs SMP not working for me, I have everything needed, I remember having this on Oldrim, and it was my favorite but right now I don't know why KS SMP not working for me.

Yes! But I got it to work just then lmao....The ypsHairDatabase.json I had to put KSHairdosSMP.esp into it to make it work on my end xD.

1. Can you trim pubic hair instead of shaving it off 

2. I got the SOS addon that adds the pubic hair mesh, tho i don't think it works for custom race, such as epic elf race, i can change it in the menu myself but it would be nice if it would do that itself, works for normal races. Anybody knows if there is a way to fix that?

I am going to adapt my Newmiller piercings to the appropriate slots.

Here it's clear, Slot 49.

However, I cannot find which slot is assigned for the Clit piercings.

Someone can help me out here ?

Re: 1 - in my current game that's how it's working for me, sort of by accident. Basically, when in installed CBBE I chose some sort of trimmed pubic hair as the default. YPS grows the bush on top of that trimmed pubic hair, and when I shave it goes back down to trimmed state.

Two bits of weirdness I've encountered in my recent use of YPS:

 

1. As I've mentioned upthread, I've been unable to get the default hair going. I can style hair and brush it out, but it defaults to whatever KS hairstyle I selected for the character, not the YPS unstyled styles. HOWEVER, I was doing complete overhaul of my modlist, and as I was starting up my game for the first time to test - lo and behold - YPS functioned as intended. The weird thing is that every subsequent new game on that profile (or even a new game on a cloned profile using Vortex) went back to the non-working behaviour.

 

2. In a playthrough, I let the character's bush grow out. Strangely, it appeared on several other save games (using the same character). I could not shave it off - or rather, I shaved but the mesh stayed - using quick shave. However, once I used the slow animation shave on the character in my main game, the pubic area was shaved both in that save and in several other saves with the same character.

is there or can there be an easier way to use the customization menus at all ? it seems to be geared towards code-savvy people to be able to use this, and not everyone (especially me), is code-savvyy.

I installed the piercing mod and picked up the torn page in the Bee and Barb, but the quest didn't start o.O

read the page, the a message should pop up quest started.

Solitude cellar, she will have another conversation line. As far as I can remember, "can you help me" should be the option.

The quest stops here if you have not this installed:

Look maybe Whiterun Nazeem's wife. If you got the quest entry, she should have a marker.

I cannot remember exactly which was the next NPC to talk to after reading this page.

You have to talk to several.

But  you should first have the quest entry.

Can you release a version without DD as requirement?

Is there anyone here who have managed to open the pubic hair textures with the alpha channel intact? When I try to open it in photoshop (with the DDS plugin) I'm getting a black image without alpha channel, and when I try to open it in GIMP I'm getting an "unsupported DXGI format (98)" error. Is there any other method?

 

The problem is that it has a clear seam in the lower edge on UNP bodies, and I want to do the job that the author of the UNP textures didn't do.

Intel and Nvidia.

Intel can handle bigger dimensions, Nvidia got more control features.

On loading you see no popup to select/load alpha ?

I can load it with Intel's plugin but I don't recognize the formats when saving, so I have no idea what corresponds to interpolated alpha.
