I've never heard of that program before. I tried making an account just now to download the trial but then it asked for what school I go to and I noped out of there. Is there a way to get it without that part that I'm missing or?

I just open up the game and test it there ?‍♂️

I'd read that guide.

The ones with lots of writing are the ones I'm most unsure of lol, that it becomes too hard to read and stuff. Are you talking about these types "Are you wondering how I'd feel wrapped around your cock?" and "My only job is to suck/ride your dick and make you cum."? Those are some of my favorites, but as I said they can get a big hard to read because there's so much text.

The guide I have posted is for conversions not making new tats.  And I'm not 100% sure that's a good one.

Don't worry about the school thing.  They don't check if you actually go to the school.  I made a fake email, claimed a school I know exists, and got my 3 year trial.  If it expires I'm gonna come at them with a new email and new school. ^-^

When i make my guide on making slavetats I'll try to keep it basic with lots of pictures.  And I'll always answer any questions people have when I log onto to LL. ^-^

As for my taste in tats.  I like ones with lots of writing and ones with a little writing.  With lots of writing it's a quick way to cover the body and make it look all marked up.  With ones that have a little writing it has room for other tats.  Although I do have an idea I might share with you when I have time to get things together.  I have some house work to take care of before I can get into any serious modding work.

Also btw:  Mudbox is not for testing the tats.  All tats still need to be tested in the game.  Mudbox makes it easier to apply tats so they line up exactly where you want them.  If you check out my later work, you can see I've made excellent use of mudbox for precise placement and 100% symmetry between left and right options on the body.  I will DM you a copy of my guide once I finish it.  Though I don't have word or program that lets me put pics in documents so i might have to post them separately.  I use notepad lol.

Oh ok I'll just use a random school then.

This idea intrigues me ?

When I say testing I mean seeing where they end up on the body.

You could use google docs?

I'm downloading Libre office.  I'm not very comfortable with google docs.  I'm not skilled with tech in general lol.

But even if you can see the tat in mudbox, you can't know the true quality/function until you use it Skyrim.  Plenty of tats look great in mudbox only to look messed up in Skyrim.  99% of the time it looks good, but mudbox doesn't take ENB/game lighting into account.  And the model is also very basic compared to the more customized characters that are in the game.  The model, for example, has exactly one mouth shape.  Whereas the in game model has several mouth options in character creation.  But those problems can also be encountered using your meathod.  Anyway, you'll see what I mean when my guide is done ^-^.  Should be finished sometime today.  Working on it now while Libre downloads.

But what mudbox does is allow you to place the tat with much greater accuracy.  So even taking the above into account, I think in general it works better for mapping things out.  I'm making the guide atm so you'll see what I mean when I finish it.

I imagine google docs is easier to use than libre office, and it's easier to share with just a link rather than downloading a file. "not skilled with tech in general" yet you're doing technical stuff that would make the average person's head spin ?

It does sound really useful, I'm looking forward to the guide :)

Switching to google docs.  Holy hell Libre Office is a nightmare.  It creates a new page for every image, only sometimes it doesn't.  It warps the text...it's a damn nightmare and I regret installing it to begin with.  Google docs it is lol.

Used and creampied I like, knotted is only for furry stuff though, so eh?‍♂️, lot of space for a niche userbase. I have no idea what the chinese/japanese version of it is, could you elaborate?

Also bestiality doesn't necessarily imply furry, but I respect your decision of not venturing in that category if you're not into it.

I tried to make a Japanese tally tat once.  I noticed a weird drop in quality everytime I tried to place the tat below the hip.  I wonder if there are less pixles or something on the CBBE model there because it always got too blurry.  Or maybe I was just doing it wrong at the time.  There are somethings a method other than my own might be better for.

Tell me what you think?

I'm not sharing it through google drive because it includes some of the stuff I used (like the .obj files for the CBBE and UNP bodies) etc.  Is it clear enough?  Let me know questions/comments.  I intend to eventually upload it to my main tat page.

True, didn't think about that, have only heard about it in furry contexts.

Idk if you didn't see it since it was an edit, but I said I could make a furry/bestiality pack(see quote)

I could do a separate pack like the lesbian one, but I would need suggestions, since I'm not a furry. I'd be able to do a few about knotting or something but after that I would have no ideas.

I just need some ideas other than knotting. I wasn't that into the lesbian thingy either but I still did it, but it was a lot easier to come up with stuff for that. I'd make (mostly) whatever ideas you give me about it since you probably know way more about it than me.

Regarding the japanese tally mark thing, I'd give it a maybe.

If you are out of ideas all the time I could suggest looking for some pornstar tattoos. Bring some of them here. I will also suggest some I want to see in my game but I will put them leter.

Good idea, I'll do that.

Spoiler

In the first paragraph you say that you're using notepad and can't include images, even though there are images, and you say you don't use google docs often, lol.

"but we will be converting it to a .png before in GIMP before we use it in mudbox" one too many before

"The reason for this is because .jpg don't allow for transparent backgrounds in mudbox" not just mudbox, if you loaded it in gimp or in game it would have a non transparent background

I've tried using the fuzzy tool but I haven't gotten good results from it, it always leaves a bit of white background even if I fiddle with the settings, what settings do you use on it? You should include that.

"one fell swood using this meathod " typos

"In mudbox you need to delete the two layers I have shown here. " you mean gimp here, the screenshot is from gimp

Oh shit I didn't know about the mipmap thing, I'll do that now.

In the frequent problems section putting "Answer:" after every point is a bit reduntant.

There's a lot of empty space in between steps and images, or is that just on my end?

Good guide, I'm gonna try it later.

I do tend to be redundant.  I'll fix the typos and that notepad one must have stayed in there when I copy pasted.

I couldn't do anything about the space between pictures or the formatting got even worse.  So I have to leave a lot of space for some of those pictures whether I want to or not.

In regards to the fuzzy tool, no idea what to say.  I tweak settings for it depending on the current need.  I also use the color select tool (which I mentioned) much more often.  But even with that I still sometimes don't get things erased properly.

Hell even when I use the eraser at 100% strength it doesn't always erase completely and I see faded remains when applying the tat.  I think it's a glitch in GIMP.

Aside from weird typos and such, you think my guide is clear and easy to understand for most people?

If all is good I'll be uploading the fixed version of the guide on my tat page.  I also added a question at the bottom regarding my fuzzy select settings.  It isn't much but maybe it will help.  For reference I use a threshold around 15, but it really is a touch and go thing for me too.

I think it would be useful to mention what settings to use when exporting the tat as PNG in gimp.

"To move the body around on screen, hold “control” and left click" for me it's alt left click, idk if you changed the settings or something.
I think you should note that when you add a stencil, it doesn't add a thumbnail to it, so I thought it wasn't working, but I just couldn't see that it worked.

Is it just me or does S + left mouse button not work for rotating stencils?

You should add what you use for settings when creating a new paint layer, 8192 size is important for it to not get pixellated.
image.png.170a8847b444e5d9befe2889a60eea61.png

So it isn't possible to make the tat keep going from the ass to the leg part or?
image.png.3daa688270a6564e13c0fe1bdd1d77d4.png

It stretches out when I put it on the leg, I could make it smaller to make it fit and not stretch, I don't assume there's any way to change that?

Holy shit dude I just made my first tat with this method and it looks great. But it's like 4 times as big as my other ones, for some reason. 21,3MB vs 85,3

image.png.d8ba271750aca3a00afa00f7722f0f5d.png

Why did this one become faded towards the ends?

Overall, this method seems 10000x better other than the file size increase and tats on the ass being cut off. Very good guide.

I'm going to try to take these one at a time.  But my general answer is I don't know.  I'm not an expert at this stuff yet.  But let me give it a try.

1. For the png thing I go with the default settings because I don't really understand what any of the other stuff is.

2. Regarding rotating the stencil, try holding s and using the right click?  Not 100% sure but one of the mouse buttoms + holding S is how to turn it.  Unless the program has changed it in an update I don't have.

3. What do you mean it doesn't add a thumbnail?  I see thumbnails on my end for the stencils on the bottom right.  And I think i see yours.

4.

Quote

I have been struggling with pixilated tats so much and never even considered this as a solution.  I told you I'm bad with tech lol.  I went with the default again but now I might start experimenting.  I always assumed that was an issue with the model having limits and not something I could immediately fix (since the location seemed to effect the pixiliation.)

5. Regarding the stretching, I don't know.  I usually use the erase tool to clean it up and sometimes have to re-apply bits and pieces at a time.  But if you play around there might be a better way.  It seems like you'll learn the new stuff faster than I can.  EDIT: There is a setting category called "fall-off" for the projection tool.  Maybe that's related?

6.  Regarding the fading issue, I have no idea at all.  I've never had that issue before.  My best guess is that the strength of your projection tool isn't set to 100% so it's not being fully applied unless you draw over it several times.  But if that's not the case I'm at a loss.  My tats usually come out as pretty solid.

7. When you say file size increase I assume you mean the memory size, not the literal size of the tattoo/tat.  My guess is that it has to do with being saved as a psd and not GIMPs default file type.  But again, I honestly couldn't tell you because I don't know tech.

For most of what I did I went with default settings and just mastered the process as much as I could.  I'm slowly learning new stuff, like how to make better glows, shadow effects, etc.

I also want to mention that Mudbox itself is glitchy at times.  There have been a few times (not many) where I did everything as normal and it just didn't cooperate.

Regarding rotation, I just now saw that it's R + left click not S + left click, oops. But it opens up a separate menu thing that I have no clue how to use so ?‍♂️

After I had already posted I noticed that it does add thumbnails, they're just hard to see because they're grey on grey.

Yeah my visibility was below 1, so it was faded in the edges, missed that slider, you should include that in the guide.

If it's not too much hassle, I would love to see a version with a rougher font.

That would mean re-doing the whole mod, re-doing every tattoo, which would at this point take at least like 12 hours of work if I'm being conservative.

I tried to aim for a middle ground between so messy you can't read wtf it says and computer printed words or cursive. It's impossible to appeal to everyone in this regard, there's people who say "I want to just say thank you for making slave tats that look like something a human/rapist would write, not by a professional tattoo artist." and there's people like you who say it's too messy.

In the future what I could do is have a separate pack with some of the more rapey tats with a messier font. But I'm still working on the main pack and then I've got the lesbian pack I need to add some more to.

This is a nice and promising work. Congrats (and thank you) on that :D

There is something that I would LOVE to see:

small ones on the backshoulder.

I dont like these huge mega things all around the body, also the font is pretty unrefined in most mods/packs.

having a nice small "cumslut" in a nice girly font would be some understatement I d enjoy on my mc :)

Oh shit I only really thought of having ass stuff, ykno around the ass, there should be more elsewhere you're right. Stomach, back thigh also absolutely, since it's close to the ass, a few on the arms. I wonder if it should be on the arm so you can see it from the front or from behind though? Would make more sense to see them from behind right?

Oh yeah backshoulder I should do, changing the font I'd have to think about. It depends on if people want it. I think people like the current font that looks scrawled on, it's more degrading than little i's with hearts instead of dots, you feel me?

I dont want to make anyone use/see MY fouvorites; the current ones may very well stay the way they are; I just long for some alternatives :)

why not having both and anyone may pick what they like :D

I deserve to have a degrading tatoo which nevertheless looks lovely!

No need to make it Disney, I meant a non-clumsy one. Imagine a broken girl actually agreeing on the degrading tatoo. So it can be made more nicely and still be non-princess stuff ?

I dont want to make anyone use/see MY fouvorites; the current ones may very well stay the way they are; I just long for some alternatives :)

why not having both and anyone may pick what they like :D

I deserve to have a degrading tatoo which nevertheless looks lovely!

Options is absolutely the name of the game, or it would be if each tat weren't 89MB. I feel like the pack is already way too big at like 5 gigs.

I feel like I say this a lot these days, but I suppose I could make that another pack, if enough people want it. I've already promised to work on a lesbian pack and a more rougher looking and rapey pack. At this point I might need to make a poll to decide where to put my focus.

I think a poll would be a good idea actually. In it I could have Rougher & More Rapey pack, Bestiality/Furry pack, Lesbian pack, Girly font pack, and some I haven't heard suggestions for but I imagine some people would be interested in, Incest pack, Femdom pack.

Also, could you show me an example of what you mean? Cause all I can imagine is basically Disney font with a heart on every i.

Love the bestiality/furry pack idea.

Weird idea, and don't ask me for suggestions i'm bad at that kinda stuff, but maybe a futa pack or race specific pack. Like degrading stuff for each race

Adding futa to the poll.

Race specific would be hard since I know fuck all about skyrim lore, and they would need to be actually applicable to the race with some stereotype or whatever.

i think some of the longer stomach texts could also fit on the back, like the "i may be a ..." tats.
although the first few words might be blocked by long hair.

but overall: really good job!

Absolutely true, hadn't thought of that. The long hair thing isn't an issue since there's also breast tattoos blocked by long hair, it's just up to the player to decide.

Thanks :)
