Here's a new update...

 

Devious Followers Version 2.12.1

 

If you have 2.12.1 installed, roll back to 2.12 and file any saves with 2.12.1 in; they are probably trash.

Unfortunately, the CK corrupted the ESP for 2.12.1 and I will have to redo all the edits :( which were numerous.

 

Try your luck with it... I've tested some things, not all.

I'm going to test it a bit in my own game before posting to front page.

 

 

Changes:

  • Changed level-one daily rate slider to use increments of 10.
  • Added a slider to configure spanking cooldown.
  • Added a cooldown to slut deal hand-on-shoulder.
  • Fixed some issues with debt early-payoff calculation.
  • Fixed the cost value shown in the dialogue when the follower offers to remove a device.
  • If you load saved settings from 2.11, the upgrade process will re-run to repair them.
  • If you are punished for something, the spanking cooldown is immediately expired.
  • MCM shows the version.
  • Chaos mode deal multiplier does not multiply standard multiplier but replaces it, like lives.

 

The "slut" cooldown allows a certain number of slut events (three) and then enforces a five minute real-time cooldown.

The slave offered for sex dialog should show up a lot less than the regular slut dialogs.

 

I couldn't find anything wrong with device removal calculations, but it didn't show the right value in the dialog, and never did.

That global was only reset when you slept, so MCM changes would not reflect in it until then.

It should update immediately now.

 

Early payoff prices seem to be correct now; the early payoff multiplier was not being updated in the MCM.

 

There's an option in the debug menu to add the piercing deal as a test. Probably best not to click that unless you like piercings.

If you click it more than three times, DF will probably break. (It wasn't meant to be left in).

@Lupine00 ok to follow up from my question from earlier. I’m currently using 2.12 after upgrading from 2.11. I may have imported my old values from 2.11 but I can’t say 100%. I have also started a new game to test the new version with. My various stats are as follows: Difficulty is Easy, low/high is 250/12000, current level is 7, willpower is 10, boredom is 0.0, currently no deals so my discount is zero, daily debt is 343. And finally my base removal for devices is 100% with price increase set to 50%. Oh one other detail, I hadn’t actually accepted Chloe, the follower I’m using, as a devious follower by pressing Click Me yet either. I had gotten stuck in a Slave Gag from DCUR and when I spoke to Chloe, the option to have her remove my devices was there. That’s where I got the regular numbers to see if she could remove it and then that astronomical debt value if I couldn’t afford it. Thank you very kindly for your help, it is appreciated.

I think the debt values are due to the non-updating of the multiplier.

The 2.12.1 I posted earlier might fix it.

 

Does it still offer a ridiculous price in that version?

 

Whether it actually removes your devices ... that's another story.

hey lupine00 im using the new 2.12.1 on se with no problems simply by running the anims and behaviors through CAE I dont know if you follow nomkaz support thread for DF SE but I had said it works and someone requested I posted what I had done there. I prefer to check if its ok with you first and with nomkaz too as he's done all the hard work so far. Sorry forgot to say thanks for a great mod.

I haven’t tried it yet but I’ll give it a try and get back to you. And unfortunately no, the gag was too devious for her to work with. ?

I've gotten into this situation where my Mod Organizer seems to be very particular about the fact that Spank That Ass needs to be placed after Devious Followers in the install order due to other mods, am I pretty much borked about that or is there any way to fix this?

The problem appears to be that Moonlight Tales needs to be before Spank That Ass, and Moonlight Tales needs to be after the Vampire Mods, but the Vampire Mods needs to be after Devious Followers

Not sure if it's the 'recommended' way, but when I had a similar problem I made a placeholder mod with just the scripts that the higher mod (DF) wants to overwrite in the lower mod (StA) and placed it below (StA). That might work, though if any of the other mods between them want to change the same files or depend on the original scripts you are indeed in trouble.

 

I am curious though, why you think DF has to be above Better Vampires? I'm running Better Vampires 8.2 higher up then DF and I can't see any scripts being overwritten by DF. @Lupine00 is this a conflict that you're aware of?

MO is not adding much value here. It has a fixation that left and right order should match for mods that have ESPs/ESMs, but often that is not what is wanted or needed. Indeed, if it was, we wouldn't need a right pane, MO could simply copy the LO from the left pane order.

 

DF needs to be after STA in the left pane, but not the right. The right pane order probably does not matter. The only clash between STA and DF in the ESP is the injected globals, which are ... injected duplicates, so shouldn't create any ordering requirement. I normally have DF after STA, but that's because STA hardly ever changes so I have it higher up.

 

As for DF and Moonlight Tales ... no idea, but if it's something like the follower dialog alterations, you want DF after Moonlight Tales, or it will break.

As for DF before Better Vampires, that's not how I have mine. My DF is a lot lower that Better Vampires, when I use it, which is rarely.

The sorting data that underlies MO/LOOT/etc ordering decisions is rarely much good for LL mods; I never trust it, and it is demonstrably wrong in many cases.

 

You want DF late in your LO; typically just before weather and lights, but after all your questy/gameplay mods that touch dialogs.

 

The only mod that needs to go below DF is SD+.

SD+ has complicated merge issues, and if you don't want it to mess up your world and lights you need to do a lot of hand merging.

Devious Stories etc have all kinds of odd edits that probably shouldn't be there, and may undo USLEEP.

Some people don't use USLEEP though ... I can't figure out the reasoning behind that.

 

DF needs to win dialog conflicts. Its edits are not just for atmosphere.

Follower dismissal overwrites are somewhat vital to DF working as intended.

STA is probably less critical with respect to that, because it's typically adding, not replacing dialogs.

If you load/save the ESP and process the animations, it should be fine.

The only pitfall is whore armors. They probably need to be swapped for SSE versions, or run through the NifOptimizer.

 

There are a few heretical resources too and other models too.

They will already have been done by Nomkaz, I should imagine.

I have a suggestion for this mod, 

Make a non-devious devices mode.

 

In this mode, if the debts increase to a certain point, the follower starts taking a certain amount of gold from the player character automatically, which is already a feature of this mod, and also of course he will want to take that sweet booty of hers as well. That to me would be amazing, and of course the player won't be able to get rid of the follower until the debts are taken care of.

It looks like the 2.12.1 DF ESP has been corrupted by the CK.

 

This is a pain, but the good news is that only 2.12.1 is impacted, and I've caught it before it's been properly released.

2.12 is not corrupted and should be safe to use.

 

Any saves you have with 2.12.1 in are likely trash.

It's a bigger pain for me, as I have to redo a lot of edits that were done to fix Device Removal Price display and the Slut Deal.

 

 

It seems that the cause of this is that my development PC's CK has broken and now only saves corrupt ESPs.

Might be time to replace that old potato.

I probably won't be able to do that again until next weekend.

 

I'll probably manage to get out a 2.12.2 that fixes the calculation of buyout debt before that though, as that was basically a single missing SetValue().

I'd like it if we could give up ownership of our residence to pay off some debt once deep enough in it. A house is an asset worth a couple thousand septim right? E.g. if you happen to own breezehome there could be an option to forfeit the key to your home, making your follower the new owner. Could possibly work with your horse as well? Especially since they're made more expensive with SLS.

i posted in the SE thread about this, and i am not entirely sure this is an SE issue only or a global script issue, but something started happening this morning once my follower started owning me (even without any deals in place and with only a debt of 21 gold), but after that, anytime my followers tried to add a gag and /or a blindfold automatically, OR gives it to me and tells me to wear it, the item equips, and then unequips right away.

 

as soon as the item is unequipped, a black hood is automatically attached to my head instead of the Blindfold or the gag. now this hood, does not appear in my inventory at all. and it is unremovable, even with Cursed Loot / Devious Followers Debugs. i am not entirely sure how to remove this or even why this is happening, but it's only on gags and blindfolds. this black hood has seemingly replaced all of them, and it isn't physically in an inventory. i need to reload saves to avoid gags and blindfolds now.

 

so i am not sure if this is a conflict of SE version, or a conflict between DD, CL and DF. but it's there. i am just worried this may also be in the DF LE version. which is why i am reporting here (just in case)

If the SE version is ported from 2.12.1, then looking at the previous page of the forum would give your answer.

From what you describe, I expect it is.

All DD references in the 2.12.1 ESP are corrupted; the ESP is broken; external refs are all unresolvable.

 

I advise SE users not to use that port, they will need to clean-save to fix their DF if they do.

no, as i said in the post, this was 2.12, not 2.12.1

 

i don't think most of the SE guys in the thread saw the post about 2.12.1 and held off on the update.

 

not sure how many did 2.12 tho.

 

further investigation, shows this was not an issue at all until several conditions occured.

 

1. i had a deal with my follower

2. my follower took ownership

3. encountered a cursed loot event

 

after that CL event, that's went the gag / blindfold glitch started.

 

it was until those conditions were met. i am looking at my MCM settings from my other mods to see if anything may have created a conflict to create this, but sadly, i don't have a save from right before and right after this started.. (i kinda micro manage my saves and delete them often lol). so i only have 3 saves when this started happening.

 

i have also restarted my game, and am going to retrace my steps to mirror what i did before, and save often, see if i can't reproduce this, in the hopes that it can help.

 

(been awhile since i did any QA work, so i may be a little rusty lol)

Hey Lupine, I don't know if this was mentioned before. For some reason the newer versions of this mod are causing my character to do insane amounts of unarmed damage. I can kill certain npcs with one punch (winning brawls in 4-5 swings) at lv 1 playing on expert. Disabling this mod fixed this problem. The only conflicts are this mod overriding sta, devious devices, and world of bikini armor. Nothing that would cause something like this. Also putting the mod at the top or bottom of my load order did nothing. This is on v12

Ooh. I like this idea a lot. Not only is it a humiliating gut-punch to lose a house, houses then can become sort of a 'fixed deposit' to store excess wealth.

There isn't anything in DF that would do that.

It doesn't modify unarmed.

 

You aren't running 2.12.1 are you?

Rather than 2.12?

Is there anything in your magic effects list that could account for this?

Do you have SLD?

 

If you install SLD, it will show you a lot of Actor Values, you might be able to identify something funny there too.

 

See if you can find a mod that will show hidden magic effects. See what it shows modifying unarmed.

I don't know anything about SE oddities.

 

Whether it's SE or LE, DD is not a reliable mod. About 20% of the time a device will fail to apply properly for no obvious reason.

And if you apply conflicting devices within about ten seconds of each other, that's sure to create problems.

 

DF puts in a lot of delays and tries not to equip conflicting devices, but I often see things like I equip piercings and they don't show up.

Then hours later, some other device is equipped and the piercings magically appear and start working.

 

I've had these issues with DCL quests (no DF installed), and with just about every DD mod out there, and also when  using the DD API in DF.

 

I've looked at the DD code on various occasions, and I'm not terribly surprised it doesn't work reliably.

There's a lot of ...  history ... in there.

 

It's a bit better if there's nothing in your system but DD, but on my dev box, there's really only DD and DF, and DD still doesn't run reliably.

That's just how DD is. And we cannot patch or fix it, because that is explicitly forbidden by the licensing.

 

 

I ran the 2.12 versions for weeks on my main machine, and had no particular issues until 2.12.1, which broke all DD references due to the corrupt ESP.

Tes5Edit shows 2.12 as clean and no errors. 

It shows 2.12.1 as having hundreds of broken references with corrupted form numbering.

 

Anyway ... SE ... I don't support it at this time. I have no SE install. See if you have the same issues in LE.

What is SLD? And no i'm running the stable 2.12. I don't see any magic effects either. This happens on a new save, I only noticed after upgrading from v2.11.

Actually just reinstalled 2.11 and started new game and the problem was still there. However after removing either version and starting a new game the problem goes away. I do the same thing to test, alternate start to Candlehearth hall, run around and punch low level npcs. Killing about two out of three after punching them once. Npc that would otherwise take about 12-20 hits to kill otherwise.
