I stumbled over it while modding Radiant Prostitution. This is a client that is picked at random. I am checking the Exposure and was baffled during testing. While in SLSO Sex the client had no Arousal despite me setting the Exposure. After some digging in the dark I opened the PuppetMaster and saw this was odd. And even with 99 Exposure one cannot beat -1xx from the negative time of orgasm.

 

I am not aware of Game Time Changing apart from Sexlab Adventures that uses the Sleep for events or POP. Attaching Load Order.

I reverted back to SexlabAroused 2.8 and the issue is gone.

 

From the looks I would think this is an empty field that is not filled correctly during initialisation.

Maybe, but if the field is empty when it checks arousal date for the first time it sets it to -2 before the first game day, or to the last SexLab sex date (0.0 unless it seeded their stats weirdly, it looks like stat seeding is in the dll, and I don't feel like dealing with that right now) then it compares that to current game time, which should be however many days(hours?) have passed in game, therefore it should never be later than the current day, unless something sets the current day back, or erroneously sets the last orgasm day to some day in the future, SLAX itself only ever sets it to the exact current time, other than during that initialization, and the initialization should only ever hit the past if not the current time, unless SexLab is doing something when seeding stats that doesn't make sense.

 

One solution to the issue if it happens again would be to set Time Rate to 0 in the puppet master, that will prevent time since last orgasm from affecting arousal at all.

 

 

I don't recognize all the mods you have but of the ones I do I have most of them, and don't see anything in them that would cause this with a cursory search of key terms.

The only one I don't recognize, can guess what it is, or have installed, that stands out is Eola, though there is a NPC with that name so it may be related to her?

That is only to make my favourite Breton Girl more adorable :) just changes some settings on the Actor.

is there an SE version to this mod ?

 

also, for any mod that refer to "redux" as a requirement, if there is an SE version and i use that version instead of "redux", will there be any issues ?

it was already announced here, there will be an SSE port eventually. Since the source code for the dll isn't public, we will have to wait for it.

since this is a drop-in replacement for both SLA and SLAR, this should work fine with any mod requiring SLA(R).

I installed the full SL Framework, Creature Framework, MNC, etc (not gonna list everything, I believe I have all the requirements for a working installation), and every creature I encounter has an arousal of -2 and won't change at all even when standing in front of creatures with a naked PC. I checked multiple times but I can't find what's causing this.

Creature animations work fine, I tried with SL Matchmaker. Just arousal won't update/is blocked.

I unchecked the "Only update arousal when naked actor" already, I enabled creature animation in SL, Creature Framework detects Aroused Creature correctly. Yet nothing happens. I don't know where to start and I can't seem to find someone who had the same problem so here I am.

I am guessing you don't have my patched scripts, as that sounds like you were playing for a while saved and quit and now you are trying to arouse actors that werent where you saved your longest play session?

Correct I don't have your patched scripts, I'm going to install it and see if that fixes my problem. I installed SLAX mid-play through, but I'm not sure that's what you're referring to ?

edit: I'm still having the same problem. Do I need to do something else than apply your patch ?

Should just need to apply the patch, I may need to double check it works for creatures but I have seen aroused creatures that I haven't manually boosted arousal for. Without the patch you would probably find that most NPCs weren't getting arousal from naked actors.

 

Just thought about something else -2 arousal is the value it has when arousal is disabled for the actor. So when it is at -2 it specifically doesn't change it. Check them in puppet master and see if arousal disabled is checked. You can check/change locked arousal in the puppet master tab of the Sexlab Aroused MCM page, use N to make an actor selectable in puppetmaster.

 

Edit: did some in game testing I was able to get both dog and horse arousal to go up over time, but some of the horses I checked started at -2 so I had to get them unblocked.

Yeah that's what I kept doing to check their level, but the arousal lock/override is on "unspecified" in the MCM page so I assume it means it's not locked

edit: Alright so I don't know why but some creature seem to have their arousal level raising (or at least, above 0), at others still have it at -2.

 

edit2: I just remember that I didnt install SLAX first, I installed SL Aroused Redux first then found out about SLAX, could the upgrade have fucked up the scripts ?

The last MNC have a new option on the Creature Framework MCM to "Force the Arousal Update" and solve this issue. Enable it and follow the recommendations to enhance performance.

I don't remember seeing that option, closest one I can think of is "Trigger Update" but it's only for a single creature (if I'm not mistaken). I'll look again

Is on the Aroused options in the general page I think. Together with the minimal arousal value to see the arousal body on the Creatures. I don't remember the name of the options but the description should be enough.

Closest thing to your description I found was the Trigger Update in the CF MCM Page, but it's only for the selected creature. I'm wondering if I fucked up my Creature Framework installation, because every time I load a save, it says "CF Finished JSON Registration". I'm not sure it's supposed to notify me every time I load. No idea if it's linked with my blocked arousal problem

The JSON Message is normal. But you need the last version of MNC (v12.1 I think) and remove all the previous MNC and CF installations

I already have the lastest version of both, I installed everything about a week ago. It seems the arousal update is happening, just slowly for creatures. It seems the patch from Tenri fixed my problem and I'm just not patient enough. Idk. Arousal calculation parameters works for creatures too right ? I'll just change some params to see it changing faster.

Well exposure and time rate both decrease over time with nothing to increase them, there is a breaking point where total arousal goes down rather than up, depending on time passed since last orgasm and the values of exposure and time rate.

 

If you are in a situation where you would be expecting arousal to increase but it isn't

What is the situation and do you have my patched script I fixed a few things in it and can't remember what all I fixed or what all the changes could do, but fixing arousal not increasing when it should is definitely a big part of it.

Custom version of Sexlab Aroused used another conception - arousal increasing over time, always increasing. So you must reach orgasm to stop arousal (=0)

 

And some mods can make it growing faster like Sexlab Stories.

Yeah it is annoying to have to search for fixes, I know Lupine has already added my fixes to the development copy of SLAX, so it should be part of the main file once the update is released, and that is the only fix I know about for SLAX.

 

If I had more crucial fixes to post than just the SLAX one I would consider making a post for them, but most of my other files are generally not necessary, I think.

 

I have the one for SLAX, fixes quite a few things, hesitant to post it in its own post since it is implemented and changed for an upcoming version already.

 

The one for recalculating the toll for SL Survival when you go to pay it, so that if the toll increases when you level, it forces an update to match your level.

It is only worth using if you use cost increase per level, and you either always level up inside walled cities so notice that it doesn't match your new level when you leave, or for whatever reason it seems to fail to recalculate the tolls ever. It normally recalculates when the city 'street' cell is unloaded (you've gone through 2 or 3 cell transitions without returning to the streets), and then loaded again.

 

And I made a few changes to Treasure Hunter Whore, there were a couple fixes mainly regarding the shock event and switching the player into pet suit if you were in the pony outfit beforehand when failing to retrieve the item from the other slave girl, there are also a few tweaks I had made to the mod on top of those fixes but it is mostly minor things.

 

I think those are the only files of note for now. so I have added links to their posts to my signature. And will edit them out if/when they become redundant.

do you happen to know where that custom version is or how to configure/edit the original SLA to get that effect? (arousal goes up until you orgasm)

To configure arousal to not decrease over time set decay rate to 0.

 

Be warned everytime your character orgasms time rate will go up, and the higher time rate is the faster arousal will increase, on orgasm arousal from time rate will return to 0.

If you don't want that you can set Time Rate Change to 0 as well and Puppet Master your time rate to the amount of arousal you want to gain each day without other arousing events. Though a caveat on that is that some mods change time rate directly, so you may find it increases or decreases after certain events.
