Well, I fucked up. I started over reinstalling all the mods from here, I wanna play with them all. That...doesn't work.

 

Just spent a few hours trying to get through a double scene and it gets screwed every time!

In the Freedom Museum the two raiders on the 2nd floor. AAF Violate runs fine but then one of two things fucks up the game. A) I get abducted (CSA) ...keeps sending me to a location of raiders in a war with an NPC that can't die...anyone know who Kenneth Gray is? Google has no idea. But the bastard won't lay down and die.  B) I am allowed to run away but I am cuffed which automatically starts Beggar Whore mode? :( By the time I reach the 3rd floor and the two raiders outside the door I have AAF Violate to start  but also there is a menacing raider who's gonna eventually get pissed and attack while I am in the Violate scene with the 1st raider.

 

Why is Beggar Whore mode started automatically? Why isn't it left up to me when it starts and stops? It's screwing things when I jump from the frying pan into the fire type scenerios :(

 

 

I suspect the Kenneth Gray issue to be Sexual Harrassment. They are known to follow you all over creation when they wanna get some and even be ported with you. Apparently.

 

Gonna keep working on it. I really do wanna play with all of them.

It was a necessary measure before I added the MCM B/W mode toggle, since you can't use the menu while handcuffed. I had thought I'd taken it out in 1.5.8 but if not it'll definitely be removed in 1.5.9 which will be out by this weekend.

While fixing some glaring handcuff issues with my rape scripts I realized I need to add 2 new pop up menus for when you are already handcuffed... It's immersion breaking to have the option to Masturbate when your hands are cuffed behind your back :D  This is shaping up to be a bigger update than I intended.

 

If I was smart I'd save it for Final, but now that I know about this the idea of people playing it without the fix for a month or more will nag at me. so now I have to add it to both esps (1.5.9, and final) Just like I did for the damn shock collar dialogue... *sigh*

Open the [Settings] BW Menu (in the Apparel Tab) >>Toggle-able Options>> and toggle Menacing Raiders Off.

Begger Whore will turn back on, if you have it off, when the handcuffs are equipped, but you wont have to worry about the Menacing Raiders mucking things up.

Weird that this issue pops up twice in one day. Yes, this is a mistake... That should have been changed in the last version but wasn't. It'll be fixed in a couple of days when the update comes out. Until then follow Izzy's advice:

I'm looking forward to the update. Turning off Menacing Raiders didn't help much. Now instead of getting hostile, I am ignored. Played thru the same scene and now when I run upstairs to where the other two raiders are I am friendly faction.  With the handcuffs on, Hardship can't be turned off. I did go into the MCM and turn it off  but as soon as I returned to game it detected the cuffs and turned Hardship back on.

 

Do you realize that when you put out the final...this will be the most complete mod on this site? Most are abandoned or in early development. You and Egoballistic are the only two really active modders on here.

This reminds me of when I started Skyrim a few weeks ago. I installed several mods that seemed suitable to play as a virgin girl who travels to Skyrim for adventures. And I also downloaded a Taylor Swift preset. My idea was for her to come to Winterhold and work in a tavern until she saved the money to pay a warrior and pay the toll to get out of town, she could even beg for money and food like in Beggar Whore, but without volunteering to have sex. She said no, but he still raped her and it seems that now she is on her way to becoming a cow, but she can no longer stand up because apparently the dog at the entrance infected her with a virus that turns her into a doggie... ?

 

PS: About your problem. What I would do would be to run away from that site and ask for help from an NPC to remove the handcuffs. If you enter the CSA MCM, you can end the kidnapping. Something similar happened to me. My character was taken to a Gunner base that was constantly fighting against an immortal doctor near The Slog.

Well 2020 ain't a normal time. Most people got more to worry about than making mods. 

 

Don't dismiss the hard work of people like @Kharos Real handcuffs has a tight focus as a mod, but Kharos steadily keeps improving it. And also don't discount the hard work of people like Flashy, who yeah has moved on from adult modding, but who put out a herculean amount of stuff (and helped me with Hardship a lot early on.) If anything I've been kind of a shit for releasing Hospitality alpha, and then letting it sit for 5 months without an update while I worked on Hardship, Porno Music and released 2 other mods.

 

I do wish more established skyrim and New Vegas modders would look this way. There is so much potential in what @dagobaking has made in AAF that hasn't even been scratched.

Ugh I hate all those "devious" magic type mods... Pretty much Zaz only. I mean Zaz even has the best DD restraint models in it.

Modding takes time. Also it can be hard, you get some great progress and then there is a detail where the game just does not want to do what you want and you end up spending days on that detail and pulling your hair out. Many of us also have jobs and a life outside of computer games.

But I know your sentiment and I feel it, too. Many times (and not only here, also on the Nexus) I have discovered what looked like a great mod for a computer game, only to discover that it has not been updated for years and some update to the game had broken it :classic_sad:.

Re: the upcoming new version. Is Indarello going to be a requirement now? I ask as i cant get my setup to work with it. My current Polistro setup works fine but i can't even trigger AAF solo animations with Indarello installed. Obviously this is caused by something i did wrong. But i'm not sure i can face hours of head scratching while i figure out what i borked. ?

Yeah or the modder quit modding cause they never found an audience and you find it years later by chance and it's amazing.

Not at all. The whole reason I wanted to make this interim version is to get it to work with just One Patch, 1.1.1, as it looks fairly clear now that OP 2.0 is dead again. I'm doing this by using a tagDataXML to actually add tags to the One Patch Leito positions which Themes does not do and Halsotrom has expressed no interest in doing.

 

With one small loose script patch It will also be compatible with setups that don't use One Patch and do use Polistros, this won't be supported in terms of bug reports or installation instructions but I will provide the patch.

 

It will still support Indarello as well, but now most people will only have one file to download. 

 

I intend to make 2 seperate VERY detailed install instructions for One Patch only, and indarello.

This next release may force me to make the jump.

A secret to pain free modding is to create a backup of your entire data/MO2 Mods folder that way if you fuck something up you can just restore it. It's a good idea to back up your whole Fallout 4 install in case Bethesda does something stupid too.

 

I personally keep 2 full backups of my MO2 folder, Making one each time before upgrading all my AAF mods.

 

Anyway see my last post. It should be more straightforward with this version.

It took a long while to gather the mods I wanted for Skyrim, and sadly set aside many I wanted but just didn't work. Eventually, though, it all worked out.

 

As for the kidnapping ending it isn't the point. Point is making it all work which, hasn't yet. Though some tweaks might help. Before when I used CSA I allowed for higher level sites. Not this time, at least at my level I may be able to kill them. Before it was like shooting an elephant with a bb gun.

What he said. My vanilla Skyrim and Fallout folders are copied mostly so I don't have to spend half a day downloading a fresh install from Steam!  You will find that not all mods will uninstall clean, they leave trash behind. Some modify assets that can't be restored to their original state. So it is a good idea to keep clean backups in case you need to re-install.

This is why MO2 is so good. There is nothing left behind since each mod is in it's own folder that you can just delete if need be.

Update: 

 

All the files are ready to go, including the new installer, all that's left now is testing. As you can see the BW mode reactivating while handcuffed has been fixed.

If testing goes well, and depending how long it takes to write the detailed noob friendly instructions I MAY get this out tonight.

 

I'm thankful for the new debug feature @Kharos added to real handcuffs that lets me easily add handcuffs for testing without having to console.

This isn't Hardship Final. This is just an interim release to fix a few bugs and add a couple of features, since final is still a ways off. More importantly it's to provide a simpler set of installation instructions and better general compatibility. It shouldn't need a fresh save. (I hope)

 

The only thing that should be done in that regard is fully uninstalling the old version before installing this one (or use the replace option, not merge, if installing in MO2) as the file structure has changed (archives)

Anybody else having Savage Cabbage couch animations showing up when no furniture is around? It's driving me insane. I've looked at the themes and SC XMLs and I cannot see any problem. I really don't want to have to blacklist couch animations for Hardship, but I am that anal I can't stand that degree of fucking "whateverthefuckery" (and yes I have reported this, and no there is no inderello or AJs or anything else like that installed.)

 

In the morning I'll reinstall both mods and hope that helps but given I can view all the XMLs in questron I can't imagine this is a corrupt file issue.
