Working as intended. It's balanced by the "soft cap" of income, since warbeasts cost a lot of money to recruit and maintain.

To use the "Corrupt Into Tentacle Slavery" decision, a tentacle slave has to be:

  • landed
  • in the same realm (if AI)
  • not incapable, celibate, imprisoned, a horse, etc.
  • between 16 and 40
  • not already corrupting someone

AI characters will also give up if their target is:

  • over 40
  • leading troops
  • very far away
  • rejecting their corruption attempts
  • incapable, on pilgrimage, imprisoned, a horse, etc.

If all the conditions are right, you might just be unlucky because the tentacle slave decided to corrupt someone else (which might happen). The easiest way to check if it works is to tag to them and see if they're currently trying to corrupt someone.

Tentacle slaves, generally speaking, have terrible learning scores.  The Chaplain job is ruled by Learning.  Their odds to convert are therefore kinda low.  How is everyone dealing with this?

Nice mod so far. I like the corruption events hope that you add more ways for people to get corrupted. One thing in the notes it mentions that the AI will actively seek out people to corrupt now I had 2 people that I new was corrupted in my court by the previous queen when her daughter took over they never bothered to try and corrupt her are events like that in or is that coming in the future.

You must be playing with the Dicks & Tits buff/debuff mod. In my games they have average learning scores, if slightly weaker due to Hucow - but it doesn't matter that much anyway because you can always get a good priestess from Recruit a Holy Man or the Fertility Festival.

Thanks for the reply would it be possible to make you councilors be able to corrupt people or would that be to difficult.

Yeah I can tell.

I think my favorite CK2 mod is Lesbocracy, as it slots into "ordinary" gameplay quite well. And is a good demonstration of the two tenants that mods hope to accomplish: Giving the player something to aim for that has value and meaning, and then making the process of getting there diverse, gradual and interesting itself.

 

But I think it is fairly obvious to go for the raw gameplay first, as that identifies exactly which holes need to be filled in with more depth.

 

So just to say that yeah, it makes sense to save such details for later. Again, godspeed regardless of whatever part you're working on.

Been trying to get my landed noble ladies to corrupt their queen, but i get the tentacle events much faster than they do. Is there any more traits (besides Hunter) that increase the chance for tentacle events?

 

Basically what vanilla traits increase/decrease random tentacle events from firing?

The only trait that has any effect is Tentacle Pheromones.

Would it be possible to remove the "same realm" restriction? I mean..I frequently play a Catholic in a realm bordering the tentacle ridden realms, wouldn't it make sense for the ladies in the other realms take interest in corrupting my Catholic countess/duchess/queen/empress to make things easier for conquest by their respective realms?  I mean corruption is a major theme of the mod isn't it? :P  And oh! the tentacle sex! LOL.  Besides there aren't really that many women ruling counties/duchies/empires in non tentacle religions anyway without modding.

My concern is performance. The "same realm" condition is a hardcoded pre-trigger which vastly cuts down on the number of targets the AI needs to consider. I will try turning it off - if it doesn't cause too much lag then the restriction will be removed in the next release.

I love this mod.  Seriously, we lol our butts off when I'm playing  (I play ck2, my gf plays Sakura dungeon or something.)  Anyways, I've noticed that when my in-game wife / consort / whatever gets impregnated by tentacles, I am not able to keep or adopt the baby; I think it is auto surrendered to the wild or maybe its flavor text ?  Is this just housekeeping?  As I now type this I think the amount of baby spam it would cause would probably be a nuisance. 

(TL:DR - is not being able to keep my wife's tentacle baby on purpose?)

There's an option in the intrigue menu that turns this option on/off.

Thinking/scenario(Sort of follows on from my previous one):

 

So these things are in the groundwater and caves and hives, tainting everything.  And we've seen they mutate humans pretty quickly.  What's happening to the plants and animals of a region held by Tentacle Cultists?  Dying off?  Hyper-fertile?  Weird crops?

 

Can they bring growth to the deserts, or are they a threat?

Any AI characters not of your dynasty will only keep one tentacle baby and auto release the rest. This is for performance reasons.

This falls under the general umbrella of "tentacle infestation" and conversion to tentacle culture. CK2 doesn't model the flora and fauna of each province, so showing it in-game is pretty hard. I might tie it in to the province infestation level mechanic, if I ever get around to doing that.

Sorry, I don't like prolapse content so none is planned at this time. That said, you're free to make your own mod to add on to this mod.

You can't, at least not yet. You will have to flip to Dagonist and then go heretic. I'll look into whether characters should be able to flip directly to Lilithid.

I was thinking along the lines of buildings and/or spreading the cult by events.
