To create the cult, you have to first be a Tentacle Slave, then get the dream event that reveals the truth of the Masters to you, and pick the right options to become secretly Dagonist.  Afterwards, a choice should pop up in the Intrigue menu to 'Create a Tentacle Cult.'  That will found the Cult of Dagon and make you its leader.  I believe you will need about 250 Prestige to take the option, so if you don't have that much, it might not be available.

I have to say, this one of the greatest mods for ck2 out there. Nothing is quite like starting a new game and questioning “How am I gonna become a tentacle slave this time” that excitement is carried throughout the game.

 

That being said, I really wish for more dynamic text in “Taken by Tentacles” for more circumstantial situations depending. And hopefully multiple versions of the same situations in descriptions.

 

A few more images for tentacle birthing of all nature wouldn’t hurt either.

 

The siege events are especially fun as well as other military events.

 

The festival events might benefit from more event chains and descriptions.

 

Most importantly, there should be more options in game rules for more interesting and dynamic forms of corruption and mind control (more than a mere 3 parts to becoming corrupted I mean). 

Recently I did a game in a RP manner to test how quickly I would become corrupted, it happened less than 2 years after game start. I personally prefer a more drawn out stages of corruption, where (if you try to resist) every encounter with a monster increases the chance at advancing the corruption. Also eligible age for tentacle molestation should be extended.

 

Lastly, I think there should be a feature where you hide away your tentacle spawn in chamber in a castle, which could serve as an alternative to “Visit a tentacle monster” with new event descriptions.

As written in the main post, "more events" are forthcoming. It's just that they take a long time to write in comparison to the minimal gameplay they actually provide, and I've been spending my time on things that require less work for more payoff, like the patron deity thing. I do plan to take another look at the encounters and festival events very soon.

The speed of tentacle corruption is intentionally fast because I want it to be possible for characters to be enslaved at a young age. The "4 strikes" indoctrination is actually rather lenient from my point of view, because in most tentacle porn, brainwashing takes place over one event from a CK2 player's perspective. If you don't like this, there's a game rule to set it to 50% brainwashing chance only.

Some quality of life suggestions:

 

  • Please set the province modifier for tentacle troop births (caused by plundering a castle) to be invisible. If you play a raiding culture, you get spammed with so many of these province modifiers that it can become literally impossible to see other province modifiers. This could also be a problem for anyone that has a large number of prisoners, so I'd consider adding it to province modifiers created by their events as well.
  • The birthing event for NPCs generates a child character, before asking the player whether they want it or not. If they player does not want them, this event may generate tens, maybe hundreds of dummy characters per hour and bloat the save size unnecessarily. However, I noticed that the player character's version of the birthing event generates the character after asking them whether they want the child or not -- if this method could be copied to the NPC version of the event, it could fix this issue.
  • Any chance you could add more options for the "female child births" game rule? The current on/off options means that larger courts tend to never have female tentacle kids, or a ton and ton of them (particularly given their rapid gestation period). It would really be nice to be able to tweak the ratio of females with options like 1:5, 1:10, 1:20, etc.

Started a new game. Queen "died" [dragged off by tentacles]. Now I'm a petty queen.
Petty queen doesn't have any of the powers the Queen had.
How do I regain those powers? [i.e. tentacle corruption]
[tentacle powers]

settings:
>AI attacks: Mythical
>Player attacks: Frequent
>AI converts other ai: None

PS: There is no secret religion. Dagon is the current religion of the land

Use the Visit a Tentacle Monster decision until you become a tentacle slave.

v2.2.2 "I Can See My Province Modifiers Again" - 10 August 2019


Compatible with old saves.

 

New Features

  • Added 1 new tentacle encounter for characters who have tentacle warbeasts.
    Added some sexy minor titles for Tentacle Cultist rulers.

 

Modding

  • All triggers in this mod that previously checked against practical age now check the scripted trigger too_old_for_tentacles_trigger. This means you can more easily edit the mod files if you want to change the default cutoff age of 40.

 

Tweaks and Bug Fixes

  • Reworked the "Fresh Breeding Slaves" and "Subjects Kidnapped by Tentacles" province modifiers into a system similar to prosperity and depopulation in vanilla. Instead of constantly stacking lots of small modifiers, Dark World Tentacles keeps track of the total number of breeding slaves under the hood and applies a single modifier ranging from Fresh Breeding Slaves I to Fresh Breeding Slaves X. This should make province view less messy when you're on the warpath.
    • Note that this update will remove all "Fresh Breeding Slaves" and "Subjects Kidnapped by Tentacles" modifiers from old saves.
  • New name list for Sahasralingi Brood characters. Thanks to jim raynor for their terrific expertise in kinky Sanskrit names.
    • I'm still looking for help with the regional Tentacle Brood cultures and name lists. If you'd like to contribute lewd name lists in Arabic, Turkish, Mongolian, Ancient Sumerian, etc. you are welcome to contact me.
  • Fixed all Tentacle Cultist characters getting Maris Brood culture in Random World. They will now seed with their appropriate regional culture.
  • The "A New Way of Life" event now also makes all your young children adopt a Tentacle Brood culture.
  • Reduced the total gold cost of a fertility festival by about 25%.
  • Buffed the bonus chance to convert provinces from the tentacle religion founder bloodline, to compensate for the low moral authority that tentacle religions have at game start.
  • The event where your prisoner gives birth to a baby girl now only creates the baby girl if you decide to keep it. This should keep save game file sizes down.
  • Mayors and priests will now correctly abdicate as tentacle slaves.
  • The "troops missing" event will no longer fire for Tentacle Brood and Tentacle Cultist rulers.
  • Fixed the "abandoned farmstead" event only appearing for Tentacle Brood and Tentacle Cultist rulers, rather than the opposite.
  • Fixed some pregnancy tags not being removed when you have a tentacle pregnancy.
  • Fixed a bug where the notification of provinces adopting a new culture referred to the province's old culture instead of the new one.
  • Fixed lag on usurping many titles at once.
  • "Fixed" characters reverting away from Absolute Cognatic succession when being granted a title that causes them to go up in rank. Their succession will become Absolute Cognatic after two days.
  • Tweaked some modifiers.
  • Fixed some localization errors.

can we get a reduce price for conscripting or at least an option for a reduced/free? They seems so expensive if you want around 50 of them.

Tentacle warbeasts are extremely powerful units, so they are priced accordingly. Right now, they cost the same maintenance as war elephants, and can be up to twice as powerful as war elephants at low tech levels. The reason they cost money to add to your army is so that there's a tradeoff for conscripting tentacle monsters - otherwise you'd just click Visit a Tentacle Monster every month, which is extremely tedious and not very sexy after a while.

Take a look at your demesne provinces. As you add more breeding slaves, they get a "Fresh Breeding Slaves" province modifier which scales with the total number of women captured, and decays slowly over time. The current system prioritizes your capital until the modifier is maxed out, then starts spreading the breeding slaves evenly around your demesne provinces.

Friendly fire incidents?  I can only imagine the reaction of friendly but horny tentacle beasts in the same army as a female commander..... LOL.  Especially if you stay in THAT army with all those slavering warbeasts too long as a female commander especially in peacetime!

Idea: Tainted Water/"What?  There's a tentacle in the well?"

 

Tentacles like dark, secluded, wet places.  Tunnel systems and sunken wells are perfect for them.  Their prescence and their fluids could taint water.  Some poor souls could easily get snatched, or a minor cult could form as they drink the water,  We've seen that one of the major effects of Tentacle infestation is increased health and fertility.  A ruler wouldn't necessarily care on the why(More troops, harder workers, less sickness) until it causes actual trouble(Increased chances of a Tentacle Cultist Revolt).

 

Of course, people might be snatched into the well.

A high priority decision will pop up when you become a tentacle cultist. (Note that landed AI characters can and will choose a patron deity on their own; this might lead your heir to choose a patron deity before you play as them. You can see a character's patron deity as a green character modifier with the pagan religion symbol.)

Im I right in thinking my PC is at risk so to speak if there are tentacle warbeasts in an army I command even if they are not mine? Can I use this to corrupt comanders?

 

Also on the topic if there is an army with warbeasts in a provice my charater is in is she at risk (and if not could she be?)

 

Finaly if I have a character in a council and they are sent off to the dagonist/tentacle culture or the demense of a tentacle slave are they at risk? Because that also could be a good tool to corupt someone.

Tentacle warbeasts currently do not affect commanders. I might change this.

Currently you're only at risk if you're in a province that gets sieged down or if you lose a battle to tentacle warbeasts.

This is not implemented but sounds fun. I'll try to write an event chain to make this happen.

Well, in this post i have some images for interesting events.

First, kind of sacred ritual. You, or you priestess can go on ceremonial, nonstop-fucking in ~2 weeks. After this, you can get some nice random bonuses on empire, gold, stat increases or some artefacts (like this tentacled sword, for example). Some backfire might be as well, becouse, you know, exhausting, or mistakes in preparations. But please, not really harsh, or even worst, lethal. I just hate then kinky things go too dark.

Second, a chain of events similar to the coronation of a monarch among Catholics, but then you openly admit you Dagon religion. You can convince some welcomed people, or even province in religion, if spending some gold, people for pits, you dignity or do the right decisions with high skills. At the end, you got some traits, similar for pop or papal coronation, from elder gods. Maybe from one, witch patron you became. And at the end - of course The Tentacled Throne, from images:)

Third, I thought about interesting events if you are a member of other societies, like Hermetic. for example. I think its really fits, then you want to research something, you accidentally can find some ancient things, and their careless research can lead to... you gonna be shocked... tentacles!:) Or some kinky thing in  Benedictine order, where you can be corrupted inside of society, because you devote so much and trust you sisters completely. Members of society gladly have sex for the name of gods, but weird, sometimes they put you it hole it wall and not let you see who or maybe, what, amazingly fuck you. You bet, sometimes, you can see some stirring under their robes as well...

 

Well, these are not very awesome, or generally feasible ideas, but still, ideas. And again, thank you for working on this mod. You are amazing:)

I've been planning to do a "tentacle baptism" as a coming-of-age ceremony. That will be an event chain very similar to coronation.

I thought about adding unique tentacle encounters for secret societies but wasn't sure if there was interest. I'll see what I can do.

I've noticed that when you win a battle in one of your own counties, you still get the "subjects kidnapped by tentacles" modifier on that county. That happens even when the county in question already has the Maris Brood culture (great name, by the way  :-). I don't think it really makes sense to get a penalty in that situation.
