And there goes the "Sardinan Mouse Trap" save game.  Basically it was my Asatru Norman duchess with just 15K troops against a Valois tentacle empire of tentacle religion with 45K troops because one of his vassals mutiliated one of my duchess' daughters.  She was married to an Catholic ruler in southern Spain. The duke of Ile de Manche captured her daughter   So I basically sat three diffferent armies all occupying the mountains or hill provinces in Sardina, and let the Valois armies come to them. One landed on my duchess' capitol only to get hammered by three different armies converging onto the army that just landed at 50% morale. Totally destroyed the army.  Reset to the same spots and wait for the next wave of Valois armies.  It was basically rinse and repeat because I knew if the battle was anywhere near even the warbeasts would destroy my duchess.  Hence the name "Sardinan Mousetrap" I'm proud to report that my duchess won that war handily.  But she didn't get that bastard who mutilated her daughter though.  Once the Valosian armies were destroyed my duchess' armies sought out the Il'e de Manche duke responsible for the mutilation.  Didn't catch that bastard so I accepted a total surrender.  But we've never forgotten him...so murder is in the works.

As a somewhat side bit of feedback/ideamongering: I find it kind of sad that you cannot continue to have tentacle-fun with other characters after you've converted them(outside of imprisonment). I was originally hoping for a player-only targeted decision("invite X to play with Tentacles") to cut down on AI-spam/performance.. But, with the cults, maybe it would be better as an "Invite a fellow cultist to a Tentacle Orgy" mission/rank privilege as a way to increase/spend favor for 'celebrating the faith'.

 

Also, Lilithid is a great pun, love it!

It also stirs my curiosity into the nature/direction you plan to go with the 'dominant futa' caste. Given that Star Children typically reproduce through a (fairly gruesome) parasitic means, are you aiming for something along the lines of a symbiotic special type of tentacle pet that remains in the womb and extends a special tentacle-cock(a cock size trait with special bonuses) the Mistress uses to impregnate others with? Or is it just a tongue-in-cheek name with more 'traditional' futa? What is the tentacle-relationship with the latter, milking/seeding pets(and warslaves)?

Hi,

 

I got tentacle slave wife. I would like to burn her on the stake ... or at least convince pope to give me a divorce.  At least with a new update I can arrest her if she changes a religion. Could you please add some way to purge a heathen or two.

 

I am trying to do divine playthrough and eradicate all evil races....

There is a problem with the mod and Randomize World.  Basically, Randomize World gets stuck at about 20% through the loading bar with the mouse pointer spinning as a hourglass with no further progress.  I'm trying a historical start.  It's definitely the tentacles mod because I switched between the previous version of the Tentacles mod and the latest update with the Dagon cult with nothing else changed in my mod list. 

 

Works fine with historical start and customized player character.

I'm aware of the crashing issues with tentacle religion in the latest update. Please stay tuned for a fix. In the meantime, don't openly convert to tentacle religion.

The Daughters of Scylla will be a knightly warrior lodge that follows the tentacle religion. They will be made up of futa tentacle slaves who cultivate their inner dominance and fuse with tentacles, becoming hybrid "tentacle queens" that can sprout tentacles of their own. Apart from all the usual warrior lodge stuff, this society would allow you to take concubines, rut like a tentacle monster, and freely dom other tentacle slaves. It's all coming Soon (tm) though and probably won't be done for a while.

Awesome. I know discussing details for unreleased stuff can be a double-edged sword, but I appreciate it. I'll try to curb my seed-planting questions and be patient while what you're working on.. gestates.

  • Fixed a freeze caused by - I shit you not - randomly generated tentacle cultist dynasties caught in an infinite loop trying to find a nonexistent color to complete their coat of arms.
  • You can no longer offer prisoners to tentacles while fighting a battle.
  • Tweaked tentacle religion map colors.

Works great now.  When I did a random world,  nearly every Dagonist and Submissionist ruler turned female.  I think it has to do with the tentacle slave trait, but not sure but it's definitely at odds with what Submissionist is all about not to mention potential issues with NPC Submissionists being able to find men for their cabinet positions due to realm laws which are pretty much patriarchial in nature.   Just my .02 cents.  I'm looking forward to what else you might be adding to the religions and the secret society of Dagon.

Working as intended. Submissionist realms are sort of a placeholder right now - they're all-female until tentacle monster characters are officially added to the mod.

First off, i'd like to congratulate you for making that incredibly entertaining mod, as well as the speed at which you add content to it. I've been following it since it first appeared, so that was long overdue.

However, it seems that the latest patch haven't fixed the issue regarding the game crashes when the religion menu is opened for dagonist characters.
Sadly, i haven't been able to get an error log out of the crash. But it may be the problem of localisation someone pointed out earlier in the thread.

I can't reproduce this bug, everything works fine on my end. Make sure you have the latest version of CK2. You can also try reinstalling the mod and see if it helps.

I'd like to offer a suggestion - in the old Dark World mod (or an associated mod) you had the ability to send a tentacle creature to defile someone much like the Lilith power of inflicting leprosy, Black Death etc on players and NPC's.  It's basically a non consensual version of the tentacle slave ability of"introducing others to the joys of tentacles"   It could be a Submissionist only power as it fits their ideology (gotta keep the uppity women down) but it can be used on males too and giving them the defiled trait plus a negative opinion of the person who sent the creature.  So you'd only send it to NPC's and player characters that you already disliked. And NPC's can send it against player characters if they dislike him/her enough and a member of the Submissionist religion.  Of course, women run the usual risk of pregnancy plus picking up the sex traits as a result of the defiling.

I feel like this ability would be too similar to Corrupt Into Tentacle Slavery. Remember, tentacle slaves think that they're doing others a favor by corrupting them. It makes no sense to do it as a punishment to someone you dislike.

Submissionists might get special events to imprison and induct female vassals by force, but the principle is the same.

I have no idea where that bug came from, but updating from DWF 2.4.2 to 2.4.6 fixed it. Thanks for the advices.

 

A question related to the future updates of the tentacle religions. Since the cult of Dagon is a secret cult type society, will there be a society for openly Dagonist characters with similar function and quest?

That was Dark World Extras. The problem with that decision was in how tentaclekin were handled in DWR. Tentaclekin has a 100% inherit rate, regardless of parentage. And since Succubi/Incubi AI would use that decision (and often), and that it changed the victim into a tentaclekin, the entire world would be nothing but tentacles within two generations.

I might add a monastic society for tentacle religions. This feature falls under "mega stretch goals" though, since I have many more important features planned, so don't hold your breath.

You say that like it's a bad thing.  100 years to eat the world....of course the problem then is 'what next'?

The first time I tried this mod I played an elf dynasty and has the frequency set at default. The tentacle rape was so frequent that there was practically no chance for an elf to survive without being mindbroken and made me doubt if the elves has some sort of 'Elves are for rape' modifier or something. I doubt an elven kingdom will remain elven and not tentacle for long. Edited the save to rare for player and mythical for NPC and the encounter rate suits me much better.

The default settings are meant for players to experience all the mod features right away, and for rulers to have the chance to become tentacle slaves before they get too old.

Found a small bug, thought I'd pass it along. For some reason, a couple of times that I've used corrupt into tentacle slavery it displays the text for later stages of corruption, and even when the text advances the actual trait doesn't increase (I should note I'm using the 50% chance of increase setting). It'll run through a full chain of events, with the text displaying increasing levels of corruption, and then it'll roll over once it says the final stage is hit and the trait will begin to appear/increase. Not entirely sure what caused it, and it only happens rarely.
