Nairos Posted May 10, 2019 Posted May 10, 2019 When starting the mod, as my PC wakes up the screen goes black, then I get CTD with a message 'Skyrim has crashed due to a missing NiNode." and then some text about the lack of a XPMS skeleton and running FNIS. I have the latest (2016) XP32 maximum skeleton XPMS and I have run FNIS + I got all the required mods installed. What could be the issue?

I installed XPMSE and ran FNIS, no luck though, same error messge and CTD Edit: I ran LOOT, and got no warnings. No idea what the problem is. Is there a console command to bypass the start scene and jump right in?

Those chains use HDT, and if stuff isn't setup quite right then you can get this crashing issue when trying to use them. I think there's some resources for getting HDT setup correctly in the DD threads somewhere iirc. Also, make sure you've got this: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/53996

I tried converting this mod and got as far as getting the quest started, but my distance never changed while I was walking. I'm assuming that was part of the dll that didn't load, so I uninstalled the mod again.

This was an SKSE addition, not something the SKSE team cooked up, so there's likely no official work on it, and I haven't modded SSE, so not sure exactly what needs to be done for SKSE conversions...

As I understand it, for most plugins it just needs compiled against skse64. Most of the hooks haven't changed but some have. As I haven't figured out how to compile yet I can't say if it will be simple or if there's stuff to do for yours. Wish I could help more.

Hex Bolt Posted June 7, 2019 Posted June 7, 2019 Removing a mod is dangerous, especially one with many scripts. Your best option is to go back to a save from just before this one. If that's not possible, be sure to clean your save file, then either try something like DCL's Free Me feature, or use the console to add a hand tying device to your inventory to equip then unequip to reset the animation.

Sgt. Marge Posted October 11, 2019 Posted October 11, 2019 I was able to successfully complete a run with this mod and it was fun. Just now on I got caught in a Devious Cursed Loot Gas Trap which sent me to simple slavery, and from there the master from this mod bought me. However it spawned me under the world with him talking, and when the next part triggered it spawned me way above the world and put me in a death loop. At that point I saved the game, and attempted to spawn in the mist flight books to see if I could float down. Unfortunately it would not let me move at all in mist flight form. I also noticed that none of the devious devices were equipped. I tried to load previous saves, but it persisted to put me in the same place above the world. The picture on the previous save file looks correct, it doesn't give me a corrupted message but it doesn't actually load. I then quit the game and came back in, tried to load an older save and it just crashes. I'm thinking all my saves for that character are corrupted now. I'm not sure if that's because I saved it in a fail state, or if it was because of the fail state. No big deal, I'll start over but unfortunately I'll have to do it without this mod.

The mod "Bedrolls for spooning" (Nexus) gives you bedrolls to place everywhere. Campfire is a classic for a full camping and sleeping experiance. Some "Needs" mods add bedrolls too. Check on Nexus, lots of mods that add bedrolls, sleeping bags and things like that, which you can place everywhere. To sleep click on a bedroll or an abandoned bed in the wilderness.

But in MCM the default chance for it to happen from sleeping is only 5%, or once every 20 sleeps. You may want to turn that higher.
