I'm afraid I have to give up on using this mod for now. I wanted it for a Simple Slavery outcome but I can’t complete one run without CTD, or notifications stopping, or even a messed up MCM (stuff not showing up, including for other mods).

My setup:

  • Skyrim SE v. 1.6.1130
  • SKSE v. skse64_2_02_05
  • SexLab Framework AE v. 1.66
  • using THW with no .dll patch (I did remove the .dll). Settings were: No death shock, no hard bondage, yes to skooma
  • all mods consistent with above setup Mod List 09292024.txt

I added it about 2 months ago, along with other mods for SS++ outcomes because I wanted more variety after around 1200+ hours of gameplay (not sure exactly because I changed hairstyles in Racemenu a few times). I played it before and enjoyed it well enough then but couldn’t use it until I saw the no-.dll patch - woohoo!

Anyway, this last time when I was sent to the slave auction I made sure THW was the only outcome. Seemed to start ok with the vampire pontificating. Did get a message that I couldn’t insert a plug because my hands were bound, but there were 2 plugs under my belt. The only other thing I observed was that the quest started screen went by so fast I couldn’t read it (and I’m a fast reader). Dumped naked in Skyrim, got the first (and only) shot of drugs, equipped with a belt, 2 plugs, and nipple piercings - were there supposed to be 2 sets of piercings?

Got dressed, started running, saw warmer/colder/stop standing around messages. Never got another shot of skooma, do have skooma whore installed, eventually I stopped seeing any notifications and I couldn't open the MCM - none of the mods showed on screen or I could see them but when I opened 'YeOlde ..' in order to show the THW MCM, there was nothing there.. Checked papyrus and saw a lot of this:

Redeployed and sorted mods in Vortex and went back to Slave market save. Unchecked Skooma Whore option. Basically same results.

I don't know what else to do. I'm somewhat comfortable with XEdit, so if there's something there I can change I'm all for it. Or a console command. I know nothing about scripting so wouldn't know what to look for. I'm attaching the last crash log, if it'll help. crash-2024-09-29-15-35-29.log

Thank you.

I know nothing of skyrim modding or this mod but i know enough about skyrim and its saves to tell you this.

"Cleaning" a save doesnt work, it will never remove all of the scripts ever!

no matter how many people claim it does it just wont, that is illogical.

Start a new game thats the only sure fire way of knowing if it works.

You dont know if THW is fucking up because something is wrong with the mod or if its still looking for scripts that arent there, just save yourself time and start a new game.

for me it seem to work fine ill teeell you that atleast. im on 1.6.1170

@pappana, I appreciate you responding. I think I've had better luck cleaning saves than you seem to have had, but I know it's not always a perfect or the right solution. However, maybe I was not as clear as I thought I was - I experienced these problems on the very first THW run. Between Resaver and the Papyrus log information there is a fair amount of evidence pointing to THW. I don't think I installed it incorrectly but on the off chance I did the whole uninstall/clean save/reinstall routine just to doublecheck and the results were the same.

Maybe it's not this mod precisely, but one of my other mods or the load order causing a problem with it, which is why I attached them both. When I went back to the Slave Market save and got a different outcome, my game seems to be working fine.

I'm on v. 1.6.1130, but thanks for letting me know it works on 1.6.1170. That'll help when I get around to updating Skyrim again! 😁

Dont clean the save start from scratch as in the prison room at level 1(if you use LAL) or the hall(if you use unbound) let all mods innitialize save reload create your chara then try it.

sexlab mods are already extremly script heavy and if the stars arent in line something will screw up and mess with them.

Make a new chara just to check.

I'm curious - what happens if the timer runs out before you find the item?

If the death outcome is enabled in the MCM (the default), you die.  Otherwise, presumably, you're stuck as you are and without your stuff.

Probably didn't redeploy after deleting, and/or didn't install the new DLL to the right location. I don't recall if the DLLs were as is or in folders.
Better to get the no DLL version, and don't forget to make sure you deleted the right DLL and redeployed.

New DLL for AE 1.6.640. File name says 2.2.1, it works with 2.2.2 as well.

TreasureHunterWhore SKSE 2.2.1 (1.6.640).7z 70.15 kB · 576 downloads

skse64.log

checking plugin TreasureHunterWhore.dll
loading plugin "TreasureHunterWhore"
plugin TreasureHunterWhore.dll (00000001 TreasureHunterWhore 00000001) loaded correctly (handle 2)

Added in the version check stuff since without it, the skse64.log was complaining that there was none and wouldn't load the plugin.

checking plugin TreasureHunterWhore.dll
plugin TreasureHunterWhore.dll (00000000  00000000) no version data 0 (handle 0)

It looks like this now. I'm sure there's a better way, I just don't know it. And if someone knows how to convert this to address library, go for it or explain to me in baby words... :)

AE 1.6.353 is a few posts up (here)

SE 1.5.97 is here.

I'm on 1.6.1179 GOG (SKSE 2.2.6)

Does that work with it?

No, and there's a better solution. Use the no DLL version linked in the post just above yours.

I don't know how to search on the forum properly on Loverslab and I am wondering if it is normal that the mod adds a RaceRecord or a bug ? I have an extra Breton Race from the TreasureHunterWhore.esp. I read the documentation of the mod, but nothing about it.

It's a bug, fairly harmless if you ignore the second Breton race during race selection (the added race's description starts with "In addition", so it is possible to distinguish it from the vanilla Breton).

It looks like the author created a duplicate Breton race to use for the sex slave NPC (she's Breton) but then didn't use it, and unfortunately forgot to remove the Playable flag from that race.

Thank you for the reply. I will simply ignore this Race.

Hello. Will this mod work with a male character? The mod only features hidden object quests, or will playing as a male require him to have gay sex, which I wouldn't want.

I don't recall any sex that's initiated by this mod (other mods might trigger on your restraints), but it was written for a female PC.  The master is a male vampire.  You'll appear before him naked.  He might refer to you as "my dear" or "bitch" or threaten to have gargoyles ravish you (it's just words, though).  You'll be equipped with nipple shockers for motivation and sometimes be vibrated as a reward.  You'll also be equipped with a chastity belt.

Your task is to find & return a trinket while naked and wearing those devices (plus more with the hardcore option enabled).  If you can ignore the wording and you're okay with running around Skyrim for a while bound and naked, it should work for you.
