They don't care if you make the best mod in the world they'll ban you in a second if some thieve steals and uploads your mod on a different site and says you stole it. They don't care about proof or your opinion they just want to squash the issue. They're more quantity over quality these days. They give some modders warnings but only when the is a resource/requirement of almost a 1000 mods (XP32 wasn't banned for that reason) since if they do ban that person their mod would go to another mod site (Here or AFK) and they'd loose their virtual monopoly on modding. HDT was getting LL a lot of traffic before it got uploaded on the Nexus. So imagine if XP32's max skeleton was only available here. And all that was without out right posting links or even the sites name. I like this whole writing in the spoilers thing we got going here makes the pages easier to navigate...

Now I can play Skyrim at a stunning 2 frames per second proud that I've gone and fixed those stupid grasses no one fucking notices. I notice the grass a lot, actually. Vanilla looks awful. Sorry for the double post. *Some of whom actually worked very hard on their mods* I am 9 months into a project 9 F'ING MONTHS, that is hard work, not some little piss making a 'pretty' follower mod in 2-3 hours (And that's giving those no skill fucks credit) Or someone creating and texturing a useless plant in 2-3 hours So ya dude, I'm bitter as all hell and I find the links hilarious to see what some of these useless shits post on nexus. 500000000-1 odds my work gets uber buried in a matter of minutes from these no talent shits uploading "HD" textures that are just sharpness increases, or "/fap to this virgin" followers, or "THIS MODS FOR TOMMY ONLY", least we're kind of laughing about it. And anybody defending the "hard work" of those no talent pukes is right up there with the nexus staff in self righteousness. Ya me and the guy who made /fap statues are both modders, but hitler and Mother teresa are both humans, that doesn't mean they deserve the same level of respect if any It's not my place to judge anybody, though. Just the fact that people are making stuff for these games makes me happy. I don't care what it is. You shouldn't condemn people for trying. Everybody starts somewhere. I don't see how encouraging new modders in any way self-righteous. The person who makes a "bad" mod today could make a great one tomorrow.

(I make custom body texture edits by PM, since people flog you with requests on a forum page setting.) So I know first hand the difference between HDing a texture to working on NEW content. It's like when you study all quarter and pull all-nighters and a guy in your class gets the same grade as you for doing nothing but sleeping in class and doesn't do the work. Makes you wanna not try.

So complaining about these pointless mods bumping the big mods will do nothing. Blame those who are endorsing or take it up with the CEO. You have a Nexus account.

Just because someone can make a mod (in the loosest sense of the word) doesn't mean they need to upload it. Someone uploads a super-sized retexture. Why? It doesn't do anything. It's just a big image in dds format. They are basically fucking the downloader by burdening their game system with a 4096x4096 texture that doesn't do anything the 2028x2048 texture they resized doesn't do. So who's the bad guy here? The one uploading the bullshit or the one pointing it out?

I do a lot of small stuff for myself, things Kendo described, and there's been times i wondered if i should upload it simply because "Maybe someone might like it". Eventually i always decide against it, but mostly because i'm a lazy slob. Earlier in this Thread i complained about great Questmods being drowned under "Bullshit"-Mods and quickly forgotten, and yeah, that's sad as well as infuriating, but i don't blame the Mods or Modders. It's the people downloading, upvoting and voting for it. I'm also mad that there's only Bullshit Reality-Soaps on TV these days but the only people to blame for that are the people watching it.

Not everyone understands photoshop or blender or any of that stuff. So when that person releases something as simple as a retexture, they are doing a favor for those who aren't capable of doing it themselves. Sure there are some mods that I look at that I think are pointless, but in the end, someone wants it or else they wouldn't get endorsements. So they are not entirely useless. But this whole "I'm better than you" attitude really needs to stop. I get that some people work harder on mods than others, but in the end, you're contributing to the modding community as a whole. This whole, you should praise me and worship the ground I walk on because I do more work than anyone else, is just ridiculous. Can't anyone just be happy that they are working together to give the community a better Skyrim experience, regardless of who does more work than the other? Or do you really need that ego boost to feel superior over everyone else?

I will pick the prettiest grass mod I can find and then use it. Doesn't matter if someone put one hour or thousands of hours into a mod, if it is something I don't want to see in my game I simply won't use it. Doesn't matter how much time went into a mod because that doesn't mean I suddenly enjoy it. However that doesn't mean I need to be a douche about it. For example, Falskaar is probably the biggest mod atm and a truckload of work went into it. Does that mean Falskaar is a good mod? Does that mean I must enjoy Falskaar more than a mod that took just a few hours? Does that mean I must download, endorse and enjoy Falskaar? No. Do I need to throw a tantrum because there are people that enjoy Falskaar more than I do? That some people obviously enjoy Falskaar more than anything I made or enjoy using?
