    The Abyss Above (TAA) is a loose conceptual framework meant to enable hyper kinks in Stellaris. Centuries of research into genetic modification has left its mark on the galactic community. As of 2200, most people are GMOs in one sense or another. A modification to increase dick size here. A faster pregnancy there. Someone might discuss genetically increasing their breast size by 3x with the same casualness of someone debating whether or not to go blonde. The discovery of HYPER energy - a seemingly infinite source of extra-dimensional power that genetic mods can tap into - will forever define the future. When the limits of biology and physics aren't an issue, what would you do to yourself? Your civilization? And would you have the restraint to stop?

    This is a sub-mod of that wider project. An independent little mod that focuses in on the scientific and exploration elements of Stellaris. It's meant to function independently of anything else and be simple to update.

    "What is this mod?" A self-contained (and hopefully fully functional) portion of The Abyss Above (TAA) focused on the Grand Archive, anomalies, excavations, and that's it. My original vision for TAA was extremely over-scoped and general. While I knew that at the time, I thought I could ignore that fact. I could not. I'd start working on traits, only to give up halfway through and swap to tech, only to get sidetracked with ideology tweaks. After a few months 80% of the mod was erotica with no mechanical hook and half the code was incomplete or busted. This is my way of keeping things tight while also forcing myself to engage with the lame part of mod making (mechanical implementation) more often. "Why release it if you've still got stuff planned?" So I can get feedback on whether or not the features actually work, plus I just kind of want it out there. So far this submod has taken me, what, half a year already? A handful of short, dedicated bursts of energy with months between them. I know I'm not the fastest modder out there, and I do feel guilty for saying "Oh don't worry, I'm still working on TAA :)" before disappearing for months without updates. So, here's something. "Can you remove X or release a version with only Y?" No ❤️  If a certain anomaly really bothers you, feel free to open the mod up and rip it out yourself. Content warnings are available below - both vague and specific - and if a majority of those bother you, then this mod probably isn't for you. "I'm experiencing an issue with this mod, can you fix it?" Hopefully. Let me know if you run into any issues. "Do you have anything miscellaneous to say?" Yep. I intentionally avoided gendering - either the player empire or alien empires - as much as I could. So if you're wondering why I opted for some strange phrase or awkward chunk of dialogue, it's because I wanted the mod to be applicable to mono-gendered/ungendered/transgendered empires.  Absolutely no AI was used in the making of this mod, and it never will be. I'll swallow my pride and subject you to mouse-drawn stick figures a thousand times before I subject you to slop. If you've ever seriously thought about transitioning, you should take HRT. It's really not that scary.

    Place both the .mod and the mod file in your Stellaris mod folder (Usually in Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\mod)

       Know that the original intention of this mod was to replace all of the vanilla portraits with hot pics. And, while I've been working on this project in secret for almost 5 YEARS, I've decided to pull the trigger on it because there is no way in hell I'll ever reach that goal. If you don't want a replacer, then just download the "Regular Version". It shouldn't conflict with your other mods. The "Directors Cut", however, adds a bunch of unnecessary fluff. The main reason I wanted to make a replacer pack was because well... How am I supposed to enjoy all the lewd mods that can be found for this game, with all those ugly ass vanilla MONSTROCITIES randomly spawning into my galaxy. Who would wanna fuck that thing?!?!? But that's it. That's the gist. No promises on any future development for this mod, other than me poppin' in to update it to the latest game version of stellaris every now and again. All in all, I'm satisfied with only having x5 of each archetype, as having the x176 total species I would need to match Paradox Interactive is WAY too much work.

       5.(optional) Highly recommend the UI Overhaul Dynamic mod on the steam workshop so you can actually see the portraits
       6.(optional) Download @singlepurpose's Futa Pack if you want more Futanari species content
     
    COMPATABILITY::
       REGULAR:: this one shouldn't conflict with any mod, though it isn't designed to properly integrate with them either. Just a safe pick overall.

       DIRECTORS CUT:: this one obliterates a lot of vanilla files. Don't be surprised if shit don't work with other mods.
          REQUIREMENTS:: Lustful Void, I didn't make this version of the mod to run along side any other mod other than Lustful Void. It was primarily built for my personal use, and not exactly meant for the masses.
          Specifically this mod edits::
             1. Prescripted_Countries, files wiped clean
             2. Species_Classes files, wiped and modified
             3. Scripted_Triggers files, modified
             4. some files inside Anomolies, Decisions, Diplo_Phrases, Solar_System_Initializers, and Events folders are also modified

    This mod introduces the Cosmo Scrylla: a psionic species. We were ripped from the Shroud, and now we cross the cosmos in search of our definitive immersion and ascension.

    📜 Lore Guidelines and Galactic Canon
    Our existence is not of this world. The Cosmo Scrylla emerged directly from the depths of the Shroud. However, due to an unfortunate cataclysm, a fraction of our population was exiled and materialized onto this physical plane. Our sole and true objective? To re-ascend to the Shroud (yes, our canonical destiny is to walk the path of the Galactic Crisis).
    Because our previously immaterial bodies were forced to adapt to the physical laws of this dimension, our unstable mass naturally generates Dark Matter. In return, this creates an overwhelming biological and spiritual dependency on Zro.
    Canonically: We view ourselves as  Nonadaptive to this universe and  Decadent, always preferring to enslave, subjugate, and utilize the labor of lesser civilizations to sustain our whims.
    🛠️ Developer's Behind the Scenes (The Technical Bla-Bla-Bla)
    "I won't lie to you: it took an absurd amount of work to fit this species into the Psionic category. The Stellaris game engine treats mysticism as a secondary category (e.g., Humanoid/Psionic or Aquatic/Psionic). You can't create a purely psionic race in the base code.
    Because of this, the Cosmo Scrylla are categorized as Aquatic as well. I chose this combination because it perfectly fits the visual aesthetics and mythological origins of abyssal creatures.
    Regarding the custom Trait: my initial goal was to make it function similarly to the Budding trait (population growth via organic pop assembly), but adapted for psionic races and requiring a Zro upkeep cost. Unfortunately, my coding skills fell short, and I couldn't program this specific mechanic. If anyone who understands more about Stellaris modding can give me a hand or help implement this, I would be immensely grateful!"
    The psychic connection is flickering... Secure our Zro supply, or reap the consequences.

Remove the background with https://dezgo.com/app/remove-background. Download the edited PNG from dezgo. Hand remove any remaining background in GIMP or if dezgo failed. Scale to 350x350 pixels, and export as DDS.  
    My prompt is below.  You may note that I asked the AI for four breasts, but it sometimes gave me more.  I kept that ones that looked decent enough because so many of the images were too cursed to use.

    I present to you the the next step for Deluxe Species.
    Animation and clothes selection.
    Don´t get vassalized or you might get your clothes stripped off. Same goes for other Empires if you vassalize them. (Its a scripted trigger tell me if you like it.)
    At least 4 outfits for every leader class.
    Fanatic spiritualists get their own clothing for Officials and Envoys.
    I did not bother to mod the pop groups visible in job overview. They all have the same Outfit.
    The pack is compatible with my past portrait pack. You can use them in parallel.
    Unfortunately this means that i will not continue to add new portraits to Deluxe Species Reforged because i want to concentrate to make this one bigger.

    Your initial (designed in empire screen) ruler will not be affected by scripted triggers (will have the same outfit until death). I try to find the issue there.
    Due to the way the inline scripting works you will have all genders available at empire creation! This does not mean that the gender code is not working. Just choose your preferred gender for the ruler and play. In-game everything gets handled by the scripts. (If you choose a all male species and a female ruler this ruler will stay like this so thats on you.)
     
    Lustful Void Integration.
        The following traits will actively affect the portraits:
        Nudist (Makes them nude or wear BDSM stuff)
        All male (Make them all male obviously)
        All female (duh)
        Futanari (You can guess what will happen)


    Vanilla behaviour puts the futanari into the female category.
    If the futanari portraits as females bother you use Lustful Void traits to filter them out or delete them from the mod.
     
    The pack includes for now:
    UNE Humans
    Asari from mass effect (There are no male Asari FYI)

    THIS MOD IS FOR 3.14.
    Imperial Fiefdom origin's overlord is now slightly aggressive and oppressive instead of being a vegetable. 
    There's a bunch of events related to humans, full-body human graphics and "clothes". Also there are BOOBS.
     
    Most of the stuff is for bulwark and xenophobe. There's 0 content for scholarium and prospectorium so don't bother with them.

    Recommended settings:
    The mod is meant only for Human species. Don't play as UNE though or you'll miss a lot of fun, because if UNE is nearby and succeeds in creating a federation, it will likely wardec your overlord on cooldown.
    Huge elliptical galaxy
    Grand Admiral - or other vassals will have 0 naval capacity
    1.5 or higher hyperlanes so overlord and vassals can expand
    If you or overlord spawn near the edge of the galaxy, start a new game or it'll be boooooring.

    A simple texture replacer with the original outfits from MEC: Asari - Lewd Patch 4.0.0, some other outfits found scattered in this forum, and some alterations of my own for Mass Effect Civilizations - Asari.
     
    I did this because I was bored and wanted to learn Photoshop, so the results are not very good, but I am proud of them. If you want something that can be done by modification, I think I can do it.
     
    If you have any of the original NSFW versions of MAC: Asari (and Elves of Stellaris, too), please send them to me, I want all the lewd clothes. Most of the outfits I modified were probably illusions of my memory since it has been more than half a decade since the NSFW version thread was removed, when this forum section was still divided between CK2 and Stellaris.

     
    A special thanks to Team Nessassity for the amazing Elves (and Drows) of Stellaris and MAC: Asari. I have been using those mods for 10 years, ever since I started playing this game.

    Hallo!🥰 So, as a person who uses a bit too many tech mods (ACOT, GE, and things of that nature), sometimes the rare candy techs and other T5 soc techs are buried by the weight of other T4 and especially repeatable T5 techs. To keep my sanity, I made this mod that shows whether you meet the requirements for the tech weight modifiers. Also added a cheat to add the techs you fulfill the requirements for as research options.
     
    Load Order:
     
    Just put this thing after Lustful Void, and it should work fine
