It's great you support VR,  DD + VR is just an amazing combo, it beats by far any other VR bondage content available so far.

 

I'll update the VR guide with your information, nothing else was  needed for DD 4.3

After that, I don't think there's much. 3BA bodyslides will be updated once Grummkol has the time, and other than that, the only remaining issue is the HDT chains, which would need a modeler and/or someone who has a better grasp of the SMP xmls than I do.

I'm still having issue I'm trying to pinpoint and fix before I can publish (I'm sure I saw someone with the same issue on this topic it's just taking a while to find back).

 

My old guide is nearly a year old and partly obsolete (page 2 of VR section). I'll be sure to post it here and tag you when it's up to date.

Just thought of one more thing you could add to DD's installer to streamline VR install, maybe you could include MFG fix VR  ?

I'm not including the SE version of that in the installer, since it's a separate mod on the nexus, and the VR download is at the same link. So no. It's better for people to download the mod rather than include it. It will remain treated as a third party soft dependency.

I seem to have a problem with invisible items on the body.

Harness, corsets, boots don't work.

Gags, collars, armbiner do work though.

Any idea what might be the cause?

I tried disabling:

-beastrace refits

-male refit.

-built based on cbbe and cbbe se in bodyslide

-i swapped loadorder on CBBE after several other body modifiers

 

In the preview the items are all textureless and ingame i think they just appear transparent?

They should not be textureless in the bodyslide preview. Sounds like your bodyslide is not set up correctly. If you're using vortex, there's a how to set up bodyslide in the tools help section. If you use MO2, there's several videos, any of the skyrim or fallout tutorials should work.

I put my money in the bank too - sounds like you are disabled textures folder into mo2. Or textures is installed in wrong path.

I managed to fix it.

I figured i'd need to get textures at least working in Bodyslide so i looked at Settings in bottom right corner for "BSA Textures" checkbox.

I noticed something else though, my "Game Target" inside settings was set to Legacy instead of Special Edition.

That's something to remember between fresh Skyrim installs.

How do i stop the collars from being randomly equipped on NPC's?  Every NPC from vendor to bandit gets a collar and i'd like to disable that.

Do you have DD for the masses? DD itself doesn't auto distribute items, you need another mod to do that.

Okay, I found the issue. I was using a mod that changed one of the scripts to prevent an animation related CTD with DD 4.3. Disabled that and now it's working fine. 

 

What mod did you disabled? I'm having the same trouble here ,but I don't have any lead so I'm at a dead end :(

If you want to build your own preset, you'd effectively have to convert all body items, and maybe some (or all) arm/leg items from the male nifs to bodyslide, then create a group. I have no plans to do this myself since it was made for the basic SOS body on LL, and I don't know if anyone on the LE side will do it either. I don't use the male bodyslide, and I don't know what SMMB SOS is. Also, Kimy has stated there is no support bodies other than the most popular - that's CBBE and UNP (not 3BBB, not BHUNP) for females, and vanilla or SOS for males (not SOS variants).

 

Assuming you've converted the male outfits to bodyslide already, all you'd need to do is create the group. If not, then what you're looking at are items for the female body, and i seriously doubt it will switch bodies for you during a batch build. Not without breaking the outfit anyway. To create a group, do one of these options:

  • copy the DD Framework group, edit it a text editor, then change the UUNP or CBBE group to the name for your male body that has the preset. Make sure the outfits listed are what you named them when you created the male bodyslide files.
  • or use the built in group editor in bodyslide to create the group, again specifying the body that contains your preset. This has the advantage of using a gui to select the outfits that should be in the group.
  • or in your preset, add the group, like so:
    <SliderPresets>
        <Preset name="MyPreset" set="body-name-that-you-are-building">
            <Group name="Main"/>
            <Group name="CBBE"/>
            <Group name="DD Framework CBBE SE"/>

 

You should have preset showing up for female bodies.

 

O, so i've tried to convert the DD items via outfit studio and load them into bodyslide. (weirdly enough my computer wont let me see the calienete files for some reason. I think its a windows 10 issue. But i can see them when i load up bodyslide. doing my best with that for now.)I'm really not touching much with the outfit studio since I dont wanna mess up everything rn. ill get to the actual fixes after ive converted everything. They have their own names and such. I just used the default SMMb bodyslide file since i can just build the preset with that later. So i went into group manager; made my own group and then loaded it into bodyslide. I think im getting there. But, it only has one slider from some reason. I bet i messed something up but I can;t figure out what.

Outfit studio is for the basic conversion, it doesn't do anything with the presets or groups. If you click group manager in bodyslide, find your group for your preset, then try adding the output name to that group. Or edit the group and/or preset manually as I mentioned before.

Or if you want to add your group to the DD group, type in the name next to add group, then click add group. from there, highlight that group and start moving outfits over.

I don't know if this is the right thread to ask, but I noticed that the tag database is deprecated in 5.0. The comments suggest using FormList. I am not certain what does it imply. Is it that I and other content mod authors that need random device should each maintain a list of droppable devices? If that is the case, doesn't that mean other content mods which add new devices can't add their devices to the random drop pool in a universal way?

Oh!  A web search for zad_DisableAllDialogue or "can't/won't/cannot start" didn't find any hits.   But, I now see that this quest was apparently intentionally disabled in maybe 2018.  And, the "quests" page of the MCM being empty wasn't a bug either.

Ok, so I went through the rest of the outfits and saved them. Then added them to the group in bodyslide like that and batch built them. It probably wont work for my current character but I'll try making them again and see if it works. Thanks. Anyway to get like an item Id so i can spawn it and test it? Is there a list of them in the files? Or could that not work because I'm making completely new nifs and such so it can't reference those?

Anyone else running into an issue where the default combat move and combat sneak move animations play while your character wears an armbinder or yoke? It happens to me when I run Nemesis, but I'm not sure if it's a problem with FNIS (last I checked, it wasn't). Ran a bare bones modlist with the essentials, and this is still a problem, and only those two animations are affected (far as I can tell).

 

I'm thinking Nemesis, since both of the animations that were supposed to be replaced, didn't; both for the armbinder as well as the yoke.
