Especially around Whiterun, I've always thought that with Whiteruns position in Skyrim, that it would be the center of Trade and Travel, and should look and feel the part. Apparently, I do not have as many mods as other people LOL I didn't realize how populated Skyrim was. Thanks, Glad you like what I've done so far, I'm not honestly sure I have enough time to keep a blog going, other than occasional posts a couple of times a month. But I might. 1

The third was some kind of extension to the world. Similar like "Beyond Skyrim Bruma"

There is a bit of a trail that leads over to the Talos shrine and you could potentially locate on the north side of that. A nice view of the stones around the dragon mound and the Watch tower on the other side of the road to monitor and greet pilgrims coming down the north road from Dawnstar. I think the Lake Honrich south coast location is where Content Consumer put one of his start location cave entrances but I don't know how much of a conflict that would be. The "island" looking spot circled isn't really that large but south and east of that is another pretty mod-clear area (I think at least) where you could clear out a lot of trees. Might want to double check the random spawn locations though since I seem to run into stuff there. North side by Merryfair could work though, especially if you wanted to do a terrace garden from the shore up the hillside and plant the temple above. it would kinda dominate the skyline though and probably be visible from Riften, shadowing the Temple of Mara somewhat. 4 hours ago, Grey Cloud said: If you want lots of room and seclusion then SW of Falkreath. I do like the edge of the map areas that would let you build valleys in. Forgot another mod in that corner and it uses exactly this technique. Something with "alchemist hidden valley" not that big though. But the great advantage is that your footprint in the already crowded skyrim world is really tiny.

Ah yes I've used that mod I think... though there might have been two similar ones or a v1 and v2. I remember one you could just kinda walk in but the other required gathering three different items to make an explosive to open the rockfall hiding the valley cave opening. Another one is supposedly on an island in Lake Honrich, but the way there is via a trap door on the boat at the Riften Docks. It teleports you to a worldspace as well. I suppose if you didn't want to modify an area, you could have a spell, lesser power or item (perhaps a craftable ticket, special amulet or statue) that when used would teleport you instead (which is how other mods work). For utmost role play, (if possible, and I think so) have it usable only in a certain cell. Also if possible, use the distance views of the "outside world" for the interior worldspace, which is what I think the Dragonsreach balcony, space over the north gates into Riften (if you've never used the little door next the main ones that lead out of the city)... and one other place I can't remember right now.

Why not use Chrome that you've got right there next to it? 27 zillion links in my favourites. IE works for me but I use Chrome for the things it can't do and sites which wont use it. Check out that area, it's far larger than I thought it would be. I got lost in it - the road ends and there is nothing in there to go on your compass bar. As far as I could tell, there is only the one way in and out, you can't cut through the mountains.

Not thinking of Bestial Essence are you? It wasn't that far out as I recall and neither was/is Animal Mansion. Not sure how far NE of Whiterun you are thinking but there is a Warzones spawn point up that way. East side of the road, somewhere near opposite Blizzard Rest. There's a giant around there too, maybe SIC. It can end up in a mad-dog running battle with WZ bandits, WZ Stormies, the giant and any animals that are around.

I figure that the Goddess of Beauty would demand her Temple be built some where that was actually pretty LOL, not semi-desert.
Raider1 Posted June 22, 2018 Posted June 22, 2018 okay, this will be the last progress post for a while. I have the garden completed and navmeshed and its time to test it. Including putting a few patrols and such in place to see how they function. I might add more decorations but consider all the animations already running in that area, I will try to keep the clutter to a minimum. view from the bridge. The Garden Proper, which still needs some work. just the quick run through in game to take the screenshots the navmesh is good, no real problems so far. But if I add to much more and stress the engine I'm pretty sure it will lag and/ or CTD. Thanks for all the suggestions on new locations. I am considering moving, because it might be smarter instead of putting a ton of work into this location and end up having bugs that I can't do anything about. 2

Nah, BE was east of there, the one wolf trap place I think was nearer to Bloodlet throne and Angi's house (and I haven't done Beastess, but I think one of those quests was at/past a border gate and caused people problems because of that). Looking at your image you're almost not in Falkreath but on the border instead. I think you are even west of Halldir's Cairn but anywhere south of that against the mountains would also work for an outside area.... but not much there is flat. It would work for a nice large valley worldspace though. Very believable. I use Firefox myself and it has imported favorites quite well. I like its addon options and especially the bookmark manager over Chrome's, though Google has a better printing preview and printer options selection screen.

If you follow the road you come to one of those gateways with the covered walkway on top, like you get in Riverwood etc. This one doesn't have any gates and you don't get the 'you can't go any further' message. Lore-wise I suppose you would in the border country with another province.
MrEsturk Posted June 23, 2018 Posted June 23, 2018 After going through some final optimizations I think my replay is good to go: After returning to Whiterun I got jumped by a master vampire with an orcish waraxe (little early in the game for that weapon...). Good to see Devious Surrender is working as intended. Asshole... And the bastard killed Adrianne Avenicci the blacksmith. We're already off to a good start, lol. The steward of Whiterun is going to be pissed. But at least the game isn't flinging every breed of CTD it can think of at me anymore: Spoiler Shot of my character at Riverroad with the final hairstyle I settled on... for now. This game's starting to get me a little too into character: 1

MrEsturk Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 Well I'm a slave again. Got a new companion to escort me on my first cargo haul. Did I mention its highly important that my character and her follower look as lore friendly as possible?:
SleepyJim Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 Taking a brief break from the world cup, I managed to fix my Hall of Valor crashing issue (seems to have been a male armour mesh somewhere) and was finally able to kill off Alduin. Spoiler Then all the dragons took off from the Throat of the World, and none of them offered me a bloody lift... Now to decide whether to carry on trying for all the Daedric artefacts and do Dawnguard and Dragonborn, or turn my game into a playground of kink and debauchery... 3

I suppose you meant: "which one do I first and can I mix it? Let me tell you: yes, you can (mix it). I'm hunting vampires, which doesn't require a puritanian lifestyle. No! The charter of the Dawnguard does not mention this. 1

Played the damn game and DLC so many (bleep)ing times I could do most of the quests asleep. Problem is, either the mods I want to use are horribly script-heavy or need some serious proofreading to avoid triggering my "CDO" (or both), or they're just plain unstable. I would kill for something as simple as an expansion to Fill Her Up's "Fill Them Up" quest line. Actually I'd kill for a Klondike Bar. 2

Grey Cloud Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 This ENB is point-blank refusing to do screenshots, GUI or any of the other things it has keys assigned to. Have put screenshots back in enblocal.ini so at least I have that. Also finally figured out why this character is so damned weak. Not really anything I can do about it at this stage. Installed two mods earlier but can only remember what one of them is.

Grey Cloud Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 Think that I must be getting the hang of this ENB malarchy. Well, if skellies stop to gawp at the moon . . . Up near the Altar of Xrib, heading south.
