136048 Gold?

Your back must be aching, Mr. Scrooge McDuck. What are you saving for? Filling a new money bin? Killing thalmor by burying them under piles of gold?

:classic_tongue:

They should impose a devious tax regime,.... just as a precaution of cause.

Heh. She was inspired by the kind of sorceresses you get in the Witcher world: rich, beautiful, powerful, elegantly-dressed (although she's gone quite grunge recently) and liking to have her fingers in as many political pies as she can. The basis of her wealth is the transmute mineral ore spell. She buys iron ore - sometimes even gets her hands dirty mining it - then turns it into gold and sells it back either as ingots or amulets and rings. No merchant in the game can ever buy what she has to sell in one go, and every time one of her kids asks for an allowance she tosses them a grand. Those kids would grow up to be horrible people...

She is married to Elisif the Fair, though. High maintenance!

Anyway, for all her mountains of gold, I don't think Cethlenn is going to manage to beat Alduin this time. This was the closest I've come to a full playthrough of the game in years, and it's been really stable, but sadly I'm getting a ctd every time I try to enter the Hall of Valor. Time to take a break I think.

We killed that notorious vampiress at sunset. Funny, she had roughly the same size with her clunky heavy armor. So we cleaned it a bit and try it on:

Hmmmmm, let me think. Inigo, what's your opinion? Inigo? Could you please pay attention?

Naaa, ok. It's heavy, it's dented, it smells ... yes it's crap. Let's see if anyone wants to buy it.

Aaah, much better in your own clothes:

Just in case for the undecided: For hunting Draugr, I recommend a trusty sword. Steel to be precise.

Take arrows to penetrate imperial armor, they shine so bright in the sun. Easy to hit.

But which way should I go now?

Left - straight ahead - right?

Shall I pick a flower, throw it up and let wind decide my fate?

?

PS:  Came here two times today. I collected some void salts from Forsaken Cave (left) for Cpt. Wayfinder (right). :classic_rolleyes:

If you're going to Brownsville, take the right-hand road.

Stood alone on a mountain top
Starin' out at the Great Divide
I could go east, I could go west
It was all up to me to decide
Just then I saw a young hawk flyin'
And my soul began to rise
And pretty soon
My heart was singin'

Well after many efforts to salvage it I've concluded my old save code is toast. Constant crashes, startup load times that would make the Commodore 64 blush. I guess I moved too many script heavy mods in and out of it and now there's just too much baked in garbage to salve it. Sigh....

Guess its time to start over. I've done everything I can to minimize as many script heavy mods as I could stand to remove and optimize the game this time. If this playthrough turns into a brick in the mid lvl 30s I think I'm done with Skyrim for a while:

I can never understand why people get upset about this. I always save my character as a preset so if it goes tits and I liked the character s/he can appear in the sequel. I put mods in and out of my game all the time (I'm doing it now and ferkin' about with ENB setting), if it dies it dies. It's just a game. There are more important things in life, such as footie.

Oh I totally get that it is just a game and sure recreating my character is no big deal. The pisser is to get to level 30+ and have the save go belly up. Plus I never cared much for soccer.

Well when you were many, many hours into several user made questlines you've never experienced before only to have Skyrim decide "I don't like this savecode anymore! Crash, crash, crash, CRASH!" it can be a just a bit angering.

Given my current work schedule its going to take days, even weeks to catch back up to where I was, mostly just retreading the same shit so I can pick up where I left off.

Plus I never cared much for any sports, period.

EDIT: Doesn't help that I reset that playthrough several times previously while trying to figure out the combo of mods I wanted to use in it. Anyways I'm hoping now that I got everything working the way I want it I'll be able to finally have a character I can stick with for while without the game turning into a potato just as things start to get really interesting. Nice having the water working right and a passable ENB shader too.

I'd just come out of Brinewater Grotto and the first thing I be seeing was a fox, dead as ye like. The next thing, about 10 yards away, was a rabbit hopping away. Twas no ordinary rabbit I tell ye. It hopped into the sea and swam off to the west.
