I think this is part of the nature of that quest and why it is so screwed up and prone to breaking.  It has been a long time but I think Nilsine was killed in my game once. Usually its always Ari.  In my game, Shavee never leaves the docks area.  Only Scouts-Many-Marshes comes in as far as the Cornerclub.

When I do Blood on the Ice, I do it and that probably cuts down on my randomness.  Either I get there with Susanna alive and no one else dies, or I get there when the game has swapped her for a body (and since it is two separate NPCs, you can PRID the living one, enable her and move her into the city... or a cell).  As for Ari... well she complains about the horses so much I usually open the SOS MCM and make her a little more like them.

I think I read that she is scripted as the second target, and if you miss her killing, accuse the mage (instead of confronting him and asking for lessons like a proper bad guy) the game then picks random people. Been a while since I let it get that far.

She hasn't hit the market that I remember (though I might miss her visit) but she does come into town, visit the inn briefly, lean on the wall by the stairs down into the Grey Quarter for a while, then head back home.  Sometimes Ii've had to wait until 8:10 or 8:15 for her to come back in the gates to meet her appointment but usually she and Calixto are coming to the market when Hillevi and Niranye are leaving it.

 

I DO wish that guard would either do something or just get out of the way.  Half a dozen ways to deal with someone trying to poach on my territory and I cannot because there's someone in the blast radius.

There is a conversation you can overhear between the three mages in the sleeping area about half way through the dungeon. One says how she thinks its sweet their boss is all hung up on her soldier husband.  Another thinks she is crazy, and either the first, or the third, I forget, remarks agreeing but not being willing to tell her so.

 

It isn't that great of a weapon, but I might try at least writing up a character concept using the Ghostblade and the Pale Blade in a dual wield setup.  Some kind of failed necromancer / lich gone wrong maybe, wreaking vengeance on the living.

 

 

Saerlund's family isn't happy with him.  I usually try to give him special treatment, though just what that treatment ends up being varies based on my character type at the time, and some RNG on the part of Sexlab's animation selector.
