Trying to get a working AAF install. What I have done is install everything according to An3k's guide up through The One Patch. After that I installed Indarello's mod fixes. Any idea where I have gone wrong? Thanks for the help in advance.

Now everything has changed to a point where the guides are nigh useless. Ive about had enough of this. Think Ill go look for a new game....

IT's kinda hard with out knowing what you have installed, as the default answer would be : either you have overwritten the need XMLS or not installed them.

Currently have nothing installed. Going to load up bodies and sit on it till someone can provide a setup that works. But even that is not simple with Bodytalk. Some say use 2.70...others say use 2.75. Some say you cant use certain animation packs. You have to search these topics for hours trying to get answers. There appears to be no right way to make things work. I am convinced that for those who manage to get it working....its purely accidental. In some places where folks ask for help, the various authors are condescending jerks. I dont know anything about this shit. All I know is what I have had to learn in the past to get it working and that experience rarely carries over to the next iteration of AAF. Im a diesel mechanic/welder by trade. I am not a coder. I shouldnt have to be. You should be able to read and apply instructions and end up with something that works in short order. Ive worked on this for two days now and gotten nowhere.

Yeah the patch situation is kind of a mess right now.

 

The long and short of it is:

 

- Install your body mods (BT2/FG etc)

- Install your animation packs EXCEPT for SavageCabbage and BP70

- Install the One Patch

- Install SavageCabbage and BP70

 

At this point, stop and test stuff out.  It should work.  You have to install SC and BP70 after the One Patch because they have been updated more recently than the patch has.  The patch's out-of-date files for those animation packs are the cause of the errors in your screenshot.

 

Once everything looks OK, you can install Indarello's patch on top of everything and that should also work.  There is no need to install Polistiro's patch in this setup.

This is my guide, which works. Please note that any of the animation packs are optional but AAF seems to ask for certain packs in its' install..I use Vortex as mod manager. I use BT2 and Fusion Girl ( but CBBE will work here ) I do not use the Squirt Patch. I would leave it alone till AAF is working. I will tell you what to overide.

Old animation packs:

Farell

Vader

Leitos

Bodytalk 2 ,2.75 When installing, pick BT option)(create your body in Bodyslide,I use Swimmer, erection at 0%, leave everything else alone, toggle Morphs, build body.)

One Patch to Bang Them All (overide these)

New Animaion Packs:

Creature Release

Atomic Lust

Mutated Lust

Savage Cabbage

One Patch Temporary Fix (overide everything in conflict list)

BP70 as standalone, if conflicted, this overides

Themes is usually a standalone

Please note, everytime you add or delete an animation pack, you must reinstall the 2 Patches. Only worry about it if you are going to test, a pack at a time. 

Get back to us.........Please note, because BP70 is not addressed by any Patch, you will get nuisence errors, ignore.

Well, at least you guys can get Leito & Crazy to work. I cannot, no matter how hard I try. If I install Leito & Crazy, everything goes to shit, even WITH the One Patch.

 

......As an aside, my super mutants die standing up & can't be looted??!!

You have been here as long as anyone. There have been 120,000 posts about SM freezing at death and at least 10 great answers. It is a bug in their skeleton. If you save, then reload, they will be horizontal and lootable..Now 11 great answers..:thumbsup:

The reason this works is because The One Patch includes a custom SM skeleton to provide more accurate equipment positions in some animations, but that skeleton lacks support for dismemberment. My preferred workaround is to disable SM decapitation/dismemberment with https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/14017/ but there are plenty of other fine workarounds (including just deleting the custom skeleton out of the patch).

Well a quick workaround for this: open console, click on that SM, type "disable", (don't click on anything from now on or you'll lose your SM id on the console!!), close console wait a sec or two, reopen console and type "enable". When you close the console it'll fall down and it'll be lootable.

 

This issue is probably caused by some mods affecting ragdolls are conflicting with one patch's SM skeletons... 

Mine was solved when I uninstalled this: "Realistic Death Physics - No Animations"( https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4371 )

I suggest to check your death physics or ragdoll mods. Disable them and SMs will unfreeze.

I will try this later. Its a better guide than anything Ive seen recently. I assume that the animations packs that are being installed after the One Patch will not be allowed to be overwritten by same patch ( I use Vortex, rules)?

I use Vortex also. Just overide as I stated. Mostly Loot will agree. Ignore its suggestions that contradict , though and stick with mine. The original One Patch should only overide that first group. Packs after that will overide One Patch. One Patch Fix overides all that are in conflict list. BP70 will overide anything in conflict. Themes just does its own thing..

Ahh, yep, at https://www.loverslab.com/topic/133498-uap-ulfberths-aaf-patch-for-mm-only/?tab=comments#comment-2814435 he even mentions still using his one patch temporary fix with it for correct BT 2.75 erections in M/F animations. Seems I just have a terrible memory. ?

Would this hold true for any other animation pack that has been updated since the One Patch such as Atomic Lust and Mutated Lust?
