For testing, I selected my female character and a male settler and  AAF was able to pick up the new furniture when scanning for available positions. However, once I had selected the new furniture, no animations were found. But when I then selected the vanilla Vault Bed, I could see Atomic Cowgirl as the available animation.

 

 

 

 

Hm. This does seem like it should work.

 

Unfortunately, I don't really have a way to troubleshoot this directly because I don't have any CC content. Perhaps test with a non-CC vanilla item to establish a working base. If that doesn't work, there are more steps to take...

What are those steps? I have already tested with vanilla non-CC items. As described in my previous post, with a vanilla Vault Bed, I was able to see Atomic Cowgirl as the animation for that furniture. But selecting the CC bed tells me no animations, even though both the CC bed and the vanilla bed are in the same "Single Bed" group id.

AJ's XML's here on LL does some of them but there's some issues we are working on, so they are partially disabled to stop STATs crashing AAF.

I'm not referring to the non-CC items that are already set up to work. I'm meaning for you to add some new object to run animations on other than something CC. Just to rule in/out if it's a CC thing or if something else is going on.

 

Next steps would be for you to recreate the issue with the AAF_QA file template on the discord server and send in for troubleshooting.

It was tucked in the conversation from that thread, I believe. I am not sure it actually works considering my present messed up state..

Update, dumpd BT2 at the moment. Using EVB male erect body. Changed some mod conflicts in Vortex. Human female/female sex always worked. Human male/female sex now works with male erection. Mutants have junk that still does not work , and ferals are ,well still useless in bed..If anyone has a fix for Mutants ,I am all ears. May try BT again now that I have found a mod list template that is working...Hopefully..

Just recopy the supermutant .nif and .tri files from the compatability patch. Use the ones from version 3.0

Found the nif and tri files and opened them to look at. Did not see more than the 2.  You mean the data file from the game file?

Youre using Vortex, so it should be the same for you as me.

 

Steam/steamapps/common/fallout4/data/meshes/actors/supermutant/characterassets

 

Should be 5 files. 4 .nif and 1 .tri

Found all the files....what do I do with them? And treat me like a 2 year old..I have senior moments this late at night..

Well you shouldn't have to anything with them. Its just important you have them.

 

I just mentioned to reinstall the 2 that come with the AAF Compatibility Patch in case they got overwritten or something and that's why youre Supermutant penis isn't working all of a sudden.

Instead of reinstalling the whole patch (cause you may not want to do this) just grab the 2 supermutant files (supermutant .nif and supermutant .tri) and copy and paste them into that location. Should fix the problem.

Ok thank you that was a far simpler answer than expected lol, thanks again.

 

Update:

I did a clean install and it now shows all good! Thanks for the help.

I don't have any of that shit and never have, my supermutant work just fine. Have since day 1. This is probably opposite what you thought and why it isn't working now.

 

Keep in my mind if youre using Bodytalk and have edited 1 or more animation packs in the past, then you've essentially put the wheels in motion to not have supermutants work anymore. The 1 and only thing I have for them and have never had anything else is the Compatibility patch.

 

The supermutant needs the EVB morph options to work properly.

Was wondering how ive missed finding that myself considering my hunt for patches and whatnot for AAF of late. Thanks for the response.

4)Purged all files of everything BT2, Bodyslide believing there were still latent files in system.

5)Have had no penises, bad penises since. Changed all patches to show EVB morphed..

6)Finally got normal,flacid penises to show on males, but when using AAF, all animations show distorted, oversized, sometimes backward facing   penises. I can fix by using separate EVB male body, but then stuck with boners all day. Compatibilty Patch could be an issue as when I place it after all, the penis in animation issues happen..

 

You really are your own worst enemy aren't you. Lol. You've had a stable set up multiple times now with everything working, so what the heck do you keep messing with it for. I think I'm going to step away from all this for a month or so, till the dust settles. Theres so many friggin patches and shit going on, I'm not sure I even know what I'm talking about anymore. We went from 1 Compatibility Patch to like 20 overnight. You have to install a friggin patch for every fucking pose mod and animation mod now, I just don't even want to deal with it anymore. If you get everything working for the 10th time, do yourself a favor and leave it alone. LOL

I am my own worse enemy and as I am preaching to those AAF newbies about not succumbing to the the temptations of "need everything", I had become a closet hoarder of all these same mods, patches, and over reach of same. 

Good news, Walkin who basically has held my hand through the whole AAF process, fixed my Mutant erection problem. I also went back to Bodytalk 2 and Z-Skeleton mods, fixed my male abnormal penis issues. I have female/female, male/female, female/Mutant, female,FEVHound,female/dog, sex interactions to date..Ferals have penises, but they are dead penises. Do not know if anyone has ever got them to work within AAF. I have a "boner" mod that I can use to at least graphically fix them..I AM DONE with the experimenting. Thanks to all ..

We've gone from like 6+, to maybe double that, currently.

Streamlining and removing non-maintained or out-dated ones is going to be slow.

While the individual-topic/page downloads are a bit much [for me, personally], the idea is to point people to them from one place, like An3k's guide, with much less confusion. "Go to this place, grab this", as opposed to the current intermingled/scattered patches on patches on seemingly unrelated topics.

Have had on and off issues with getting strap-ons/penis' workin, but ghouls were one I didn't get workin and couldn't be arsed, until Ulf's Creature Pack for BT2 apparently solved that issue entirely. Needed to tweak some shit I'd altered in my install so I didn't have other issues with it, but it worked great otherwise.

This sort of thing is also the entire point of what An3k's trying to achieve, currently everything's too scattered, murky and easily fucked up. Once the radioactive-dust settles, it'll be a lot easier for 'noobs' to get set up, with a lot less fuckin around with their install.

I decided to give AAF another chance (12th actually) and this time around I was able to get the animations to work in a way. This time around I'm using a male character and he keeps ending up in the female role and I can't find an option to change roles. Right now the issue is in SEU, I got too frustrated to see what Violate or any of the other elements do. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I use SEU and that is usually my least buggy "extra" mod. I use Violate but refuse to let it use me. I play as a female and have never had my role switched for me. In either the compatibility patch or the Leito/Crazy patch, there are options for role to role animations being displayed. Need to tick them off as female to female, male to female, etc. Check out your mods as you reinstall them(not purge your system) to see if you left a role question as none..I am assuming you did not go into the AAF file and change the gender option?

Losing control of the roles probably has to do with people making versions of the XML without gender assignments. The fix is to not use that type of XML.

 

In other words, it's not really a question for AAF as it's a framework that provides options as far as role assignment goes. It's up to the animation pack and related mod authors to implement the assignments in ways users want.

AAF kind of outsources a lot of work to the community. With flexibility comes a learning curve. So, it is expected that it will take some time for the config layer to improve. The community is fortunate that there are people willing to put in so much work on that.
