It isn't going to be permanent - just until the mod is more or less "stable", then will likely be coming to Nexus (and more issues are fixed).

I prefer it over the Ersh way of doing it - paywalling the mod until it's "stable" then releasing it (hoping OAR is just a drop-in replacement for DAR still, haven't bothered to keepup with its development).

TBH, I can understand if mod authors want to get something in return for the time they invest in their mods. That being said, I'm no friend of purely paywalled mods on the other side.

I have to admit, that I like Scrab's way of doing it: having a Patreon for EA / alpha access, then after some time a Discord for beta access and free full release once the mod's finished.

That way you get at least some payment back for the time intensive dev / debug work, you have a dedicated community to receive feedback and bug reports from (I assume those who don't care won't join the Discord) and in the end everybody gets the mod for free with the option to still join the Patreon as a substantial Thank You.

To be fair, it really only has a reason for such big projects as the total rewrite of SLf or Acheron. Improved Camera falls into that category, too. At least I wouldn't start my own Discord just for DMC ^^ Maybe other small authors think differently, but for me it's like taking a sledgehammer to crack a nut. And still it took weeks of dev work just for DMC, and that was only programming, which I didn't need to learn before. If you have to learn new techniques, like quest design or sth, for a new mod, that will be exponentially more time ...

General reminder that just because something isn't on The Normal List of Popular Mods, doesn't mean I don't know anything about it. I specifically createdĀ The Gigantic List of ModsĀ because I can't put every single mod in that first post.

does blush when aroused work for ae?

i used to use le and it was one of my main mods, but im not sure if it works with ae or will break my save, so figured itd be safer to check

Yeah, it's listed once because it's popular enough as its own mod to meet the requirements to show up, then again because I have it set as a secondary mod of the original (which is also popular enough).

There's another one or two like that. Guess I'll remove that "secondary" thing and just include a plain "see also" note...

  • Added a list of 20+ Popular SKSE Mods, like what the list used to have a while back; yes, "popular" is a subjective measurement

If you like YK, you'll love Acheron! As stated by Scrab, the author, even though still being in beta, Acheron already is more stable than YK ever was ^^

And there already are some addons, YK Acheron version for once, and a few moreĀ SimpleĀ onesĀ ?

Sorry if this has already been answered, but there are over 300 pages and I have absolutely no idea how to search through the entire thread easily.

Do any of these mods conflict with each other, or can I just download and use them all?

Some mods do conflict with others, you need to read your loot output, and read the modpage for each mod.

I haven't updated my mods in a very long time so I'm not sure how does SoS work now. I need to download the SoS SE version and the AE Multi-edition DLL replacer, right?

Also, what's with the "install male skeleton" installation option? If XPMSE is better to use, then I should uncheck it, right?

Yes. Pick the dll that matches your executable version in the multi-edition installer. And let this updated dll overwrite the one from SOS.

Yes. And install/place XPMSSE after SOS in your mod manager (not the loadorder, but the install/mod order), I think SOS installs a werewolf skeleton even if you don't install the SOS skeletons.

Thank you for answering. Although, I'm using NMM and not MO2 so I'm not sure about the install order.

In NMM is literally an install order. The order in which you install a set of mods and let them overwrite each other. You'd need to confirm XPMSSE filesĀ  aren't being overwritten by SOS files (you might need to overwrite XPMSSE with MNC, ABC or these creature mods though, not sure since I don't use them).

Ah, I see. I figured it might be that but wasn't certain. I don't know about MNC or ABC either but I'm not a fan of creature stuff so I don't use them either. Thanks again.
