I must be somehow blessed with luck because I (still) have no problems with old good dll managed schlongs.

you are part of the lucky 10% or you have very few mods and maybe you are also on an old version of skyrim, I am always moving forward and into the future, so I am on the latest version AE, I would never downgrade my games for already obsolete mods. Universal and standalone NG Mods are there for the future of Skyrim. downgrade skyrim has also become obsolete.

Lucky 10%? Knowing about versions and finding the proper files isn't a matter of luck. Also there's already a dll for the latest game patch. It was released like 1 month after the game updated.

Still this is a definitive upgrade in both implementation and support. I think it shouldn't be too hard to completely move from SOS to this new system, unless some weird shenanigans happen.

laughs well not as fixed as you think because the latest DLLs do not work with many SOS TRX addons and others, the famous dirty edit message for SOS mod that many people know. if we are content with the classic mods for men that is enough but unfortunately it is not good for the recent addons for futa. But hey, I'm lucid, it's going to take a little time to fix the bugs and compatibility a little too early to install it in a final version of a game.

Which ones are broken? I tried 2 (futa addon wip, futa addon horse something). Both are working as intended. And in which universe does the framework requires to be updated to support addons created for said framework? Usually it's the other way around. And the DLL has nothing to do with dirty edit messages or addons not working as intended, that's likely an outdated addon or a faulty installation on the user side.

And if you want to use existing addons for SOS this new body mod must support existing addons out of the box (unlikely but we'll see) or wait til said addons are updated (again, the addons, not the framework).

Lesquels sont brisés ? J'ai essayé 2 (futa addon wip, futa addon horse quelque chose).

I do not use the Dll version but Papyrus, yes the horse futa addon also works for me even the old erf versions, but the trx strapon is broken, Futanari Erf and trx addon male are declared dirty and rejected, trx futanari works but is broken, no strapon, before the last skse update everything worked well with the sos papyrus version and since then it's unstable and it's the same with the latest dlls besides( i try ) see the subject to find others in the problem. so as I don't want to downgrade to take full advantage of the new features that are coming to AE, I'm waiting for the NG solution for SOS or an equivalent.

Tried ERF and the male addon. Broken how? Are you sure it's not just an error on your side? Using the Papyrus alternative to bypass the DLL isn't the same as using the complete framework as it is.

Like I said an updated DLL was produced almost a year ago. You don't need to downgrade or use alternate methods that don't use the DLL, you just need to get the correct one. I can't reproduce the issues you mention, if you can't make it work on your side it's likely something on your installation. Yes, SOS it's old, but it doesn't mean the issues you're having are solely because of the framework being old.

For me, SOS itself has worked pretty fine.

1.6.640, using P+ as well, so I'd be in the group to find the most fucky shit.

Interested to try TNG. My issues with SOS have always been related to performance (stripping a male NPC, could take a second until the schlong showed up).

I'm fairly sure about 95% of the users having issues with SOS are PEBKAC issues.

About performance, have you tried with the Papyrus Tweaks NG's Experimental  bSpeedUpNativeCalls set to true?

Spoiler

[Experimental]

;(Formerly bRunScriptsOnMainThreadOnly)
;Speeds up native calls by desyncing them from framerate and instead syncing script calls to a spinlock, greatly improving script performance while still preventing concurrent execution of native calls
bSpeedUpNativeCalls = true

If you do not have it, try it in combination with "Papyrus Tweaks NG - INI file for reference" in the miscellaneous section of that mod.  Modify the ini file bSpeedUpNativeCalls and replace false with true.  Save and test general performance, including SOS mesh swaps. Also check the other settings with help from the description page for details.

I have.

The underwear on NPCs was only noticable for at most a second, so it was never super noticable, but it did still happen.

I somewhat doubt TNG can solve that, but one can hope.

(also not looking to swap exactly until I figure out how to convert custom schlongs to TNG, for... immersion reasons)

did anyone else notice that monmon1 reposted his stuff? they aren't conversions but they are there

It got mentioned on a couple of discord servers but definitely didn't make as much of a splash as the preceding events. Do they have any stated permissions alongside them?

no, its just a file dump to my knowledge. didn't even say what's going on, just reposted files from before without saying a word.

Cool I guess?

Point was never to show off how many folders I had loaded anyways, just comment on how a) I'm in the group that would be most likely to have issues with SOS (where the only issues I did have were minor performance issues, that themselves weren't a dealbreaker), and b) commenting on how I was pretty sure most people reporting issues with SOS just never knew how to install the mod in the first place, and instead of learning how, would just blame the mod for their own failings.
