JimKhan Posted October 12, 2018 Posted October 12, 2018 I have a question. Be wary that it may be very dumb. Since I've been using this SexLab beta for a very long time, I've been wondering about all these files. I downloaded the upgrade from beta 3 to beta 4 file and installed it through NMM, but isn't this causing any clutter of files? Wouldn't it be easier if I removed all files and installed the one complete file? I'm asking because it looks like I'm basically filling NMM with plugins here, I am not confident enough to attempt a manual installation.

GitGotBang Posted October 13, 2018 Posted October 13, 2018 Do I just use the current mods that are under Skyrim or the ones under Skyrim special edition?

Which game are you playing? That was sarcasm. Install anything SSE you can find that you want. If there's something for old Skyrim then you can probably port it yourself. If you aren't sure about what LL mods are available for or work with SSE, look here.
smashly Posted October 13, 2018 Posted October 13, 2018 Probably not the right place to ask, but give it a shot.. Are the stat script functions for: IsStraight() IsBisexual() IsGay() Reporting properly when the user hasn't changed gender preference in sexlab manually? or Should I still be using the GetSexuality() to calculate the ratio myself? Asking because I remember in Aroused it was using GetSexuality() as a workaround to get the correct gender preference of an actor when the user hasn't set the gender preference in sexlab manually.
tasairis Posted October 13, 2018 Posted October 13, 2018 6 hours ago, smashly said: Probably not the right place to ask, but give it a shot.. Those numbers are based on player stats and change over time with partners. If someone sets themselves as Straight and has lots of gay partners, eventually they will be Bi and then Gay. The MCM menu gives a way to force the stat to be straight/gay/bi but it can still move. If you want an effective sexuality then use it. If you want a forced sexuality then you need something else, like Aroused's preference. 1
smashly Posted October 13, 2018 Posted October 13, 2018 Thank you tasairis for taking the time to explain, it's appreciated. I'm aware of how the sexual preference is calculated, but your response does not answer my question. IsStraight(), IsBisexual(), IsGay() would not always return the correct current state unless the user had manually set sexual preference prior. Where GetSexuality() and comparing its return against a value gave the correct expected result regardless. But this was many versions ago in sexlab that it was this way. Was wondering if it's still the same way or not? Going by the comment description in the SexLabFramework.psc IsStraight(), IsBisexual(), IsGay() should return the proper state based on the amount sexual partners regardless if the user twiddled the gender preference or not. The main reason I ask is it seems counter intuitive of me to be reinventing the wheel in my code if the native supplied SexLab functions are working as expected. 1

Maybe I'm forgetting something but SexLab doesn't have a gender preference. It has a player gender and a sexuality preference, but no gender preference. You're not thinking of SLA, are you? If you mean the sexuality preference then no, IsStraight/Bisexual/Gay will be affected by the choice because what that choice does is set the sexuality stat. The same stat those functions rely on. 1 hour ago, smashly said: The main reason I ask is it seems counter intuitive of me to be reinventing the wheel in my code if the native supplied SexLab functions are working as expected. They're working as far as I expect. I'm not sure they're working as far as you expect.

Actually wait, I think there was an issue with the calculation part of it. I've since deleted what had my notes in it, but IIRC the calculation favors heterosexuality. Like after one partner the value can be 50/100 when it should be 1/100. Two partners gives 33/67/100 and not 1/50/100. Could that be what you're thinking of?

Lodakai Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 With MFGConsolefunc excluded since beta 2, does that mean the MCM toggle for facial expressions is nonfunctional for SE? I did install the MFG Fix mod that includes that script. However, since SexLab has been compiled without the inclusion... I am wondering if I should leave that feature disabled in the MCM

I am wondering if I should leave that feature disabled in the MCM SexLab has been using SKSE functions for expressions since at least beta 2, and I think since beta 1 too. MfgConsoleFunc was referenced in one script that didn't really matter simply because it was old and Ashal didn't change it (source: somewhere a few pages and/or months back). Last I knew facial expressions still worked, although they tended not to reset after a scene for an as-yet unknown reason (which could be resolved through the console with the "mfg reset" command on the affected actor). 1
zogjones Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 I'm having some trouble with Sexlab in SSE: 1 - Sex Journal is not updated (always zeroed). 2 - Animation stages do not advance after pressing Space. 3 - SL does not start in Free Camera mode - if I start it manually with NP3, the character freezes after sex (to fix that, I have to console TFC, quicksave, quickload, then TFC again). 4 - Arousal only increases, and does not decrease after sex as it should (and yes, I've tried with different style of sex, checked the gender preference, and so on). Apparently, the problem is in Sexlab Framework, because issues 1, 2, and 3 also happen with only SL framework installed - it seems that SL does not register that my character had sex. Though, animations are working fine. I followed quite a few guides on LL and anywhere I could find anything related to SL, and the problem persists. I'm using MO2, LOOT, all usual fixes, latest SL framework (v163 Beta 4 - but same with Beta 3), it's a new game, and so on. I'll appreciate any help.

Use console command epc (Enable Player Controls) to unfreeze your character rather than the 4-step workaround you're using. Can't help with the rest of your issues- SL working fine for me.

fallout980350376 Posted October 17, 2018 Posted October 17, 2018 I use Skyrim VR and it runs fine with SexLab Light, but the full versions will not load because the game version and SKSE are the wrong versions. Is there away i can overrule this to get SexLab to load in Skyrim VR?
kempo95 Posted October 17, 2018 Posted October 17, 2018 Does anyone still have the v163_beta2 version? That would be much appreciated. ?

In addition to what CPU said you have NOT installed a skeleton so you have the default (99 bones) skeleton which WILL cause problems with some mods (the Requirements listing for the Sexlab Framework includes installing the XPMS or XPMSE skeleton, experience has told all of us that you need to install the XPMSE skeleton and avoid XPMS because it is a plague). XP32 Maximum Skeleton (Special) Extended - XPMS(S)E - HDT Physics - Downloads - LoversLab You checked the "Skeleton Arm Fix" option but you have Vanilla skeletons. You checked the "Gender Specific Animations" option but have NO gender specific animations installed. The instructions at the top for those Options tell you NOT TO CHECK if you don't have the mods. Checking doesn't get you the "mod", the check mark is there so it knows to handle those mods specially, usually meaning the special handling will break your game if the mod isn't present. Install the XPMSE skeleton though and then you should indeed have the "Skeleton Arm Fix" option checked but you really need to understand when you should check those options to keep yourself out of trouble. And since you're here, you are correct in wondering about warnings from FNIS. In almost every case, a warning from FNIS is indeed an indication that you've got a problem that needs to be fixed. Hopefully all this will help you avoid problems by fixing them before they show up in the game.

When I tried it on my phone however it says: "This attachment is not avaliable. it may have been removed or the person who shared it may not have premission to share it to this location" This was followed up by the error code: 2C171/1. I am from Norway if that has any significance.
