Getting a weird issue where the voices are really echoy. I tried resetting the voice registry and testing it with various voices. I even tried turning off Sexlab Vanilla Voices. It's both the male and female voices. Is there something I can do besides resetting the voice registry? This has happened on a couple playthroughs but I've been too busy to try fixing it. From playthrough to playthrough I reinstall all my mods (including sexlab) so if it was a problem with my installation, then it would have been resolved when I reinstalled wouldn;t it?

I'm betting your issue is only being exposed by SexLab, not caused by it. I'm trying to say you have a computer audio issue- basing that opinion on the fact that my SL voices are fine and don't sound reverb-y at all. I did have a similar problem a year or so ago, but it was caused by NVIDIA stealth-installing "3D Audio Drivers" during what I thought was a video-driver update. Once I uninstalled the NVIDIA audio drivers, everything was fine again.

I don't have Nvidia drivers, though?

You have missed my point- I only brought that up as an example. My point is that you probably have a machine-level issue rather than a Skyrim Mod-level issue.

The issue with that is that, normal Skyrim voice (as well as voices from OTHER mods) work just fine. I can't understand why ONLY the SexLab voice are having an issue. Unless SexLab voices work in some special way

It may be an issue with the voice files that your audio drivers don't like. Try playing some of the WAVs outside the game.

Tried it and they sound fine, meaning that it's something with how the voice are being loaded in game

You could try replacing them with different audio and see if they still sound off.  It might also have to do with the number of sounds firing off at the same time or something odd like that.

Okay, if you say so, Avast says the link is infected with something called url:mal tho..

Avast likes to complain about websites like LoversLab. Just ignore it

It has a few but you'll want more.

Use SLAL. Copy/paste from my thread:

tsairis, is there any way to find out before installing them what type of animations any particular animation pack contains? I tried 2 of them (back in Oldrim) and they seemed to be exclusively about rape, aggressive/rough punch-baggery, BDSM and/or other forms of not-entirely-consensual abuse activity. The problem is that once I install and register them to see for myself what they are about, they are intermingled seamlessly with my existing animations, from which all identifiable aggressive/rough anims have already been laboriously culled, requiring that I spend another 4 or 5 hours to try to weed them out all over again based on their tagging, then keeping Debug options on for the next few months so the names of all animations appear on my screen so I can delete the ones that weren't properly tagged, etc.

As a result of those early experiences, I have simply not used any animation packs once I realized what kind of anims were in the two I tried. In other words, it's a Royal PITA to install an animation pack without knowing in advance what overall type of anims are in it. Do you know of any way to find out? Conversely, do you know of any animation packs explicitly labeled "consensual/affectionate/non-aggressive?"

It's a small pack but I know Ayasato is 100% consensual.

Nazonootoko is a huge pain in the butt to convert but the Tropical Island set of animations are also very well done and 100% consensual. Another smaller pack.

Personally I prefer the smaller packs these days, the huge mega packs always seem like they have at least 40% stuff I don't care about anyway.

Ok I've been circling around the internet for 3 fucking days. Where do i get updates? I'm on 1.5.39 and I want to get to 1.5.53, but for the love of god I can't find the files anywhere. Every link is dead. The only torrent for it, on skidrow, is sketchy as hell and looks fake. I've downloaded the damn game 6 times and am not looking to download it a 7th just to try to update.

Can anyone post update files to get from 1.5.39 to 1.5.53?

Try it on steam with the regular update function? After so many ppl complaining about forced updates you are the first who didn't get it.

erm, that's because I didn't get mine from steam. That definitely would be the easy route wouldn't it.

So, after spending some weeks searching a solution to something very easy to solve I guess, it seems something is not working or present in my Sexlab version. In combination with Matchmaker I cast a spell to activate a animation on a creature, but the spell fails. Now, the console says I have to enable creature animations, as they are disabled apparently. I have used FNIS to generate animations and have appropriate animation packs installed using SLAL. But when looking at the Sexlab MCM menu, all I see is an "Install" tab, nothing more. I'm assuming there should be more than an "Install" tab within the Sexlab menu, right? Should I reinstall Sexlab again, or what's causing this problem? ?

EDIT → For Future Reference: If things aren't working or animations aren't enabled, click the install button within the Sexlab MCM itself! (assuming you've done what I've done ↑)

Sounds a bit like the SL light MCM.

Nah, I installed the full version. However, I wasn't aware you had to install Sexlab from within Skyrim itself... ?‍♂️

However, everything is working now... Thanks though! :)

Well, You would have been not the first to mix this up, and you will not be the frirst to miss the step of initializing SL... Don't forget to enable Creature animations in SL.
