seriously back off!! all i did is ask. Its not an emergency and its not my failure as i reverted back last time. i just asked nicely and a the end of the day Ashal will choose to do it if and when he is ready. i just asked thats all. Is it now suddenly a crime on this forum to ask???!!!! jesus!

Probably, the negative reaction is simply that people are feeling upset about Bethesda's updates for their CCC content.  Just take it in stride.  On the plus side, most of the plugins needed for a Sexlab install are now available, faster than the last update in September.

and why do you have to get on peoples case?!!! i am at a loss as to why its rude to ask politely. You seem to have alot of negative energy to spend time getting on peoples backs. I havent broken any LL rules by asking. God.

Let me preface this by admitting I know next to nothing about coding;

on the topic of these annoying meaningless updates ruining my day...I have seen that many SKSE reliant mods do not break with updates. Is there a way to edit the runtime line in the .dll to look for "at least version 1.5*" or somesuch? I've been curious about it for a little while. Since SKSE, like most other mods that rely on it, really only seems to update the runtime versions to match and therefore shouldn't break anything of real significance very often.

SKSE provides two things: support for DLL plugins, and a number of added Papyrus script functions. Which means there are two types of SKSE-reliant mods.

The mods that only need the Papyrus functions basically never break because of updates. They're just like other mods that have scripts. They're fine.

The mods that do break are the ones with DLLs, and nearly all of them break with new versions. That's because each version of the game tends to rearrange its internal organs, which means the SKSE team has to do an autopsy to learn what happened with those organs. SKSE contains information about those organs that mods tend to need, so when that information changes the mods themselves need to update too. Many of them don't need additional special work because they only rely on what SKSE provides, but for some others SKSE doesn't have everything and their authors have to do their own autopsy on the game. And all that takes time.

The couple mods out there that don't break every time are written in a clever way that makes them much less likely to need to update. They're special. But the other 99% of mods can't work like that.

I didn't realize the games update automatically I loaded my SKSE launcher and it said the game was outdated.

Steam games do by default.

You can downgrade if you don't want to wait for your mods to update. Open up your library, right-click SSE, Properties, Updates tab, set Automatic Updates to only when you launch the game. Launching through SKSE won't update.

But you have to make sure Steam is running before you launch. I suggest having it start on boot: Steam settings, Interface, Run steam when your computer starts.

would slaverun and Devious have to be updated after this? hopefully not

Open the mod with 7Zip or whatever and look at it.

If it includes a DLL, it will have to update - most likely. I can think of one or two exceptions that aren't broken by updates, like Achievements Enabler.

If it does not include a DLL, it does not have to update. Might be an exception floating around out there from a mod that calls for a specific version of some other mod - but that is just bad coding.

A new DLL for DDi is already in the DD thread. Check the SSE Conversion tracking for news on this.

The latest release of skse is 2.0.9,. I am having trouble installing the mod with the current release.

As is everyone else who hasn't noticed that SL is currently only compatible with 2.0.8.

Bethesda is being a douchebag right now. Always updating the game to screw with us.
