I have a question about the Sexual Tourism for the Machine intelligence, for some reason the private drone jobs are not filling up even when set to be the preferred job. Is this a bug, or am I missing something?

image.png.0ed39e4a730940d388e3b3fed48701fe.png

I believe I managed to fix that

paste this file in "Stellaris\mod\sexysxenostraits\common\pop_jobs" and overwrite; the private drone jobs will start filling up

the job had this line:

""possible = {
        or = {
            has_job = private_drone
            dpcb_trigger_job = yes
        }
        drone_job_check_trigger = yes""

i changed it to :

""possible = {
        drone_job_check_trigger = yes""

 if anyone knows what the " dpcb_trigger_job = yes " is or what it is for please let me know.

I will come much more often on this website now.

Wise choice. You get to relish more in the community's overwhelming love.

I find nothing too but I have made a new fresh trait and more rar. Hopefully that will work. If not, I don't know what to do.

I have updated only the trait and more mod. There is only a few corrections and the replacement of many line of code in the events to make them work in the 3.0.3 version.

I am not a modder, but I would recommend stabilising the mod and fixing all the issues after the 3.0 update before adding new features. It would probably be safer.

Sorry of I'm not motivated to improve SSX, I don't play much this game but after 6300 hours of game that was expected.

Sad but understandable. It is plaudible that you have been fixing and working on the mod hitherto. The beautiful, sophisticated and tasteful artwork has significantly expanded my perverted imagination. For this, I thank the author and all the contributors of the mod. Maybe I should learn to mod this game because I have a plethora of ideas and features to add.

Ha yes and also THIS:

Thanks paradox.

This is how Paradox fixes the outdated engine - by breaking the population system completely. The best part is that this doesn't eliminate the game lag, which is the reason why they broke the population growth. Paradox hasn't even bothered to give any logic as to why the population is no longer growing exponentially. They are not even trying and don't even care.

At this point, they are too lazy and greedy to allocate personnel and money to update the engine, most likely because they are done with this game. The 3.0 is an absolute embarrasment of an update, which is evident by the negligent quality of the DLC features. It seems that the new, though traditionally overpriced, DLC was meant to squeeze a little more cash out of the players.

I have made a few fixes and completely reworked the escaped gene sex slave origin. You now start with a single pop, a op trait and a terrifying lack of stuff. Easy with a pop growth abuse empire ( lawless sex and pervert society civic, fanatic xenophobe, light snu fever, erogenous skin, nuptial hypnose and a bit sex obsessed traits ). But it's maybe too hard with a more normal empire, even far more with a purifier neighbor, huhu.

For the new update, I just have to replace the files in my Stellaris folder right ? I do not have to delete the previous one to have the updated version ?

Always deleting the previous one, it's far more easier and safer.

So, uhh, the description says there's a gardevoir inspired race in here. I don't know how deep "inspired" goes, but I don't see much in the way of green or white humanoid females with little horns sticking out of their chest. Am I missing something? Did they get removed?

Hello, I'm unsure if this has been answered or not but when I looked at the mods in the launcher to enable them they said they had problems with the description files pathing? I'm unsure what to do cause when I used the mod tools to check the pathing of mod there was no problems. This is my first time interacting with local mods so I don't know what to do.

Looking back and online, seems like this has been a known false-positive issue. Windows updated for me yesterday and it's no longer flagging it, so all's good.

For next time you have something that your "Antivirus" has flagged:

https://www.virustotal.com/gui/home/url

Right click the link to the file in question.

Copy and paste the link there.

You get results from right now 44 different antivirus scanners.

Windows Defender is NOT among them as it is shit.

Mostly because the security updates it gets are few and far between compared to real antivirus software. Those usually get at least two updates per day and not ~5 updates per month like windows antivirus does ...

The Salacious Machines seem rather weak, compared to rogue servitors the upkeep of your Bios are higher and output weaker, especially with the first buildings and with later buildings you still have much lower complex drone bonus, 0.1% vs 1% for rogue. Bio pops also tend to have lower happiness as they are considered a slave type (amalgamation) rather then "Bio trophies"

Machine pops also show happiness at 100% in UI despite mouse over tool tip stating "not affected by happiness" and no effect of happiness is shown for stability of planets. Also, you can add "happiness" traits to them despite they not being affected by happiness. (maybe change it to +amenities instead for machines?)

I have removed this species and I forgot to update the description, this was made with the koikatsu's character editor and many mods. That was not so good.

I have tried really hard to make this specific machine empire more like synthetics, thinking I will discover how to finish it later. But I will probably remove this happiness feature next time.

would it be possible to run the synth ascension project at start? so you start a normal bio empire but immediately becomes synths?

For the felt thirteenth time.

ONLY Windows Defender does find a trojan.

NO actual antivirus does.

Around the internet Windows Defender miraculously finds trojans and viruses in many mods.

That simply is because Windows Defender is worse than sh*t and frankly nobody should use let alone rely on it.

I'm pretty sure you are correct, but it's not the first time some jack@ss has slipped this sort of thing into a mod file weeks or months after the upload. My paranoia acted up and I ended up in a self-reinforcing cycle of placebo *possible Trojan infections.* Mainly due to general windows bullsh!t I was looking at in the event viewer and Stellaris' launcher being completely broken. I was in so deep that antivirus programs not finding the rootkit just meant it was hidden well.

Does anyone know how to get around the Windows thing w/o spending money? I also don't know where to put the mods as there is no folder in my files that says "mods"

Your mods go into My Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/mod and if the folder mod doesn't exist create it.

Before making a report that a file has a virus in it use virustotal which is 100% free and can scan files as long as they are not over their size limit and it'll scan the file using all of the better virus scanners out there and no windows defender isn't one of them.

If your using windows defender stop using it just because it's free and comes with windows doesn't mean it's a great thing to use if I were you I would dump windows defender for something better.

Windows Defender is perfectly fine for Gramps. It ain't perfect, sure, but it's fine. While I would agree it'd be better to download something better, it's a bad idea to just turn off Windows Defender even if you have a better alternative. Just leave it on and get a better one if you don't entirely trust Windows Defender.

Also, VirusTotal is only web-based, and won't protect you, thus it's a bad program to solely rely on.

Thing is:

Windows Defender is actually not good for gramps as it does not find actual threats but false flags harmless files.

Gramps would be horrified to turn on the computer and be greeted by multiple quarantine notifications. For windows .dll files no less.

Anybody that thinks that an online virus check tool is a substitute for a local antivirus software is ... not smart at all.

The best antivirus software is in front of the keyboard. Filename brain.exe.

It comes to argue that this is preferable to windows defender. You'd be rid of the false flags and as said many actual threats are not found by it to begin with.

But truth be told there are dozens of free or cheap antivirus software programs. At times with security suites i.e. surveillance of browser, email client, mbr (Master Boot Record), ... Coupled with at least 3 regular updates a day + emergency updates.

There is no excuse to keep using windows defender.
