Reading the comments at nexus there was a lot of talk about why no load doors for bruma and that is where a lot of the crashes are being reported. So the modders said they can't go back and put load doors in because it would require a whole lot of work they are not going to do. They caused the problems of crashing a lot because they didn't want load doors and now we all have to suffer for it. I'm sure they will claim they don't care if porn mods work or not while they sit there staring at their mostly naked characters running around with the latest in hipster unp high fashions. Lots of people will claim they don't care about porn mods but they want giggly boobs in their game. I don't even want to think of the scripting hell this mod would cause with loads of porn mod running along with it right now.

When I heard that the Oldrim Bruma was basically a beta test for the SE version of Bruma, I was pretty disappointed. Adding to that the load door issues and the CTD reports and they're not gonna do anything about it has me thinking that they were setting themselves up for a mess and lot of complaints - granted, they didn't need to release their mod, but they chose to. In choosing to release the mod, one would think that they'd do their damnedest to make sure there was as minimal of crashes possible, which shouldn't account for people's sex mods and whatever else - that's entirely on the user if there's a plethora of CTDs not related at all to Bruma. Given that Beyond Skyrim is a lore-driven SFW/regular mod, I doubt that any of them even use sex mods. Judging by the colostomy bag that is the Nexus community, a lot of them probably don't use them, and then you have the dorks that moan about the plethora of "waifu" followers and crap like that.

 

The same shit people are crying about with Bruma is the same shit people cried about with the Holds of Skyrim mod released sometime last year. To their credit though, they at least added loading doors to certain areas of the game where they saw fit. I entirely disagree with the concept of open cities, especially since Skyrim is running on an extremely dated engine to begin with. And you could argue about LE vs SE the whole time, but it doesn't change the fact that the game has, and will always have stability issues. The authors of Bruma claim stability was the reason they're not going to be continuing to use LE for futher Beyond Skyrim releases, but they conveniently forget that SE has stability and crash issues all it's own and that was without mods.

 

So yeah, my hype for this series of mods is basically null now. I was anticipating playing Hammerfell, whenever that comes out, but not so much anymore. I have too many mods I don't want to give up - pretty much all of my mods require SKSE in some form or another anyways.

Some of the new armors are just shitty looking and get beat by dragonborn armors or other mods armors. The weapons look terrible, I was trying to remember who made those lore weapons expansion mod and it was insanitysorrow from nexus mods he even got that mod up to v1.4 and put everything in there so once they get this mod to a stable point I'm just gonna go in there and replace the crappy meshes and textures with insanity's stuff and be done with it.

 

Some of the meshes and texture conflict with immersive weapons and legendary skyrim crossbows, as well as immersive college of winterhold and beyond reach mods.

 

 

Thanks yes so that is why i was getting invisible meshes for certain weapons, looks like a conflict with immersive weapons.

I don't even use immersive weapons mod or that other stuff and some weapons are invisible in inventory.

Installed it yesterday (took forever for NMM to install) and seemed to work fine on my game, travelled over and did the first set of quests at the keep you get to first

Is the script extender for SSE even still being developed? Haven't heard much about it in awhile. If future releases of this project are for SSE only, then I will probably dump it. I would rather keep my sex-laden load order than see their possibly shitty remake of Cyrodiil. Mainly talking about story elements they seem to be lacking at this point. If your going to take on a project this size, then why not go wild with it !! Like give the Dragonborn the chance to become the new emperor? They just copied Sky in that regard. So many things that could be done with a great story that probably will not happen. :-/

@ Zor2k13 Yeah I agree they should have at least announced a new Elder Scrolls by now. Seems like they are running out of ideas though.

Somehow, in all the years of mod skyrim, i never thought about using a new region mod, this had me interested, but this thread does not sound good...  :s

 

Can anybody suggest a new region mod that works well with other mods and is fun, no matter how old? I read Falskaar, Summerset Isle in this thread for example? Thank you!

I currently have Falskarr and Summerset and after 300 hrs I haven't been to either one! Maids 2 deception is a huge story mod that add a lot of area in and away from Sky.

It adds a beautiful Dwemer Island towards the end. About the size of Solsthiem. it is beautiful to explore. Can anybody suggest a new region mod that works well with other mods and is fun, no matter how old? I read Falskaar, Summerset Isle in this thread for example? Thank you!

 

I've used Falskaar on a couple of games and found it stable and didn't give any problems with other mods I have. Not a bad quest mod if you haven't tried it

Falskaar was realy boring for me, and it felt like a bad fanfiction. Summerset isle was super bad. I later learned that it was pushed out unfinished and boy did it felt that way.  So far the best i tried was path to elswyr but i dont use it anymore either.

I am playing beyond Bruma, it works fine, no crashes, some minor issues but nothing serious. So far so good. But a lot of people seem to have problems cause they don´t know how to use enboost, and this is critical for playing this mod.

 

Away from that I definately love the scoring. Damn good work on that, and so the atmosphere is pretty nice, as soon as you talk to the first people out there in the south. And the landscape is best described with one word: wow.

So far it recognising that my toon defeated alduin etc and is wearing blades armor is quite neat, had one of the bruma guards thank me which is one of those nice little touches since lets face it news of some dude defeating the ender of the world properly would travel

 

Sex with the bruma npcs seems to work fine as well if anyone was worried :)

I am playing beyond Bruma, it works fine, no crashes, some minor issues but nothing serious. So far so good. But a lot of people seem to have problems cause they don´t know how to use enboost, and this is critical for playing this mod.

Apart from some missing meshes i did not get any crashes low fps either. problems seem to very small compared to other mods.

I was actually put off greeted by the imperials This character was stormcloak sympathizer. :D so the first thing i did was liberate that stormcloak prisoner that was a nice touch.

Get Beyond Reach , Vigilant, Glenmoril , Clockwork , Wheels of Lull , Blackreach Railroad , Lost Wonders of Mzark , Brhuce Hammar.

 

Sometimes smaller mods are way better than bigger ones.

About Bruma, I had almost no ctd since the latest hotfix, it runs very smooth if you have enboost and skse memory patch. Too bad if they decide to drop oldrim support, perhaps we'll have a way to retro-port the mod once entire cyrodiil is released though.

Sad that Bruma is focused on SE, but i played it on Oldrim and it's pretty kewl. Some nice new(old) locations and dungeons, the new(old) armors and weapons are neat, fantastic voice acting. Bit to cockteasy though since there are borders you cant go past etc.

 

As for other new land mods i'll throw my votes in for Beyond Reach and probably Falskaar, which is also found a bit boring but pretty neat nontheless.

Moon and Star is also pretty good when it comes to quest mods.

I was looking at the armors in game to see if they are worth keeping as a separate mini mod but nope they look bad. I know these people have heard of bodyslide and outfit studio over the last six years and they still don't have decent looking armors. The mithril helmet almost looks like it was ripped from oblivion vanilla game content and there are no weight slider support for almost all of the armors and clothes. The only things maybe worth keeping are the iron and leather gauntlets and boots which is not enough to bother with for me.

 

After finding out that skse64 is basically hanging by a thread if that I just don't want to bother with this mod anymore. I can't play skyrim without MCM menu and many other mods so I will just have to wait and see how it all goes maybe next year sort of thing. Guess I will give world of rudra a run and see how it goes but I expect all the dialogues to be horribly broken english that I will have to fix myself.

I have just started a project of rebuilding all the clothing and armors for UUNP BBP. Converting the clothes and armor isn't that difficult. Editing textures is something I have no experience with. As you can see the textures of the dress make the breasts look funny. I need to edit it and possibly add more polygons to make them look good!

People complaining about major frame drop in Bruma. i think i found a way to replicate this frame drop. Enter Ranolds home in Bruma and then back out, this is the bard that sings terrible when you first enter the inn of Bruma, can anyone confirm that their frame is still 60 when back out ?? i have replicated this and every time my frame drops 1 or 2 frames entering a different home or building and then back out my frame seem to stabilize back to normal 60 frames.

 

I hope i spelled his name right. :D

Apparently the FPS drop occurs because of the cathedrals lighting. It seems to only affect people with Enhanced Lights and FX and other mods that affect lighting.

The absence of load doors is what kills bruma for fps. I finally dumped the mod and all the scripts it had piled up in my system. Cleared out some old mods and other stuff just gonna play the boring ass vanilla game for a while. The only parts I really enjoy are mostly the dawnguard stuff chilling in the vaile with serana and some follower mods I have installed stuff like that. The majority of the game is incredibly boring and I have managed to burn myself out with porn mods. We probably won't see another elder scrolls game for another five years just guessing from the release dates of previous games so far like skyrim and fallout 4 so 2020 then for another game. The only thing left for the remainder if this year is you guessed it, call of doody time once again but this time back to boring ol WWII again. Nothing until next year when we get that new stalker game.

 

Beyond skyrim devs can't fix the missing load door problems so they will stay missing which means bruma will ALWAYS be an fps killer and who knows where else they left the doors out. I won't even bother thinking about bruma again until we get MCM and other stuff in skyrim special ed edition if we get it.
